This is a great hostel with a big kitchen and a grocery store across the street. The staff is nice. There is a lot of nice common area. One of which is a library type work area on the second floor. There is a cafe to get meals and coffee. I was able to get schoolwork done easily in this environment. The area is very walkable with eateries just around the corner. I can catch the bus to Sherbrooke for the day from here. There is a lot of nice outdoor space I haven’t gotten to use because it has been cold and rainy. There is an elevator for my big bag. There is enough room in the dorms for bags. This is the most reasonably priced place in the Eastern Townships.

Staff made some accommodation for us to check in late, after hours for a last minute booking - which was awesome of them! Beautiful home and common areas. Cozy feel to it all. Great location in Magog with parking close to the breweries. Overall a great last minute stay.

The beds and room amenities are basic and not the most comfortable/slightly noisy metal frames in shared rooms, but it does the job for the price. As a cafe, it feels like it's missing tables, not many places to sit, especially if 3 people or more, making it less welcoming than it could be!

Such a good location, within 10 mins walking from lake, good restaurants, the museums, grocery store, and within easy driving distance from vineyards, Orford National Park, various regional attractions. Also next to the church and on Sunday morning the sound of the bells is lovely. Kitchen is super well equipped, lots of space to chill, lots of games and books available, even a little friperie. Café on site also great (the lovely girl at reception made me a delicious sarnie for my summit lunch) - cannot see a reason not to stay here!

No bath mat - but that’s really a very minor issue!

Such a beautiful youth hostel! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There were two other families staying with us and some solo travelers. If we had more time, it would be great to get to know people from around the world! The shared spaces were spacious enough to not bump into other groups, but cozy and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Grocery story right across the street. Hostel fully equipped and very clean.

I didn't see where/how to make coffee. I could have asked at the recetption but instead just used a broken small French type pot hwere the top screws on. There were no baskets for the two large coffee makers in the kitchen.

This place is great. The only reason I don't want to leave a good review is so people don't find out how great it is and make it harder to book or something. It was a fantastic deal when I was looking for a place to stay on my trip, and very clean and cozy. I was in a communal bunk room. I was worried I'd be cold at night but I wasn't at all.

I stayed another week. That says it all. This area in Magog by the hostel is so walkable. Not nomads here but this is a great place for nomads. Great value for price.

Lovely little hostel right in the middle of town! The staff was amazing and the cafe was a nice touch, the kitchen was large and well equipped, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and not crowded. Overall a great stay!

A very spacious hostel in a good location. There is a grocery store a three minute walk away. The hostel was very clean and inviting. They have a cute little café on site.

There are plenty of places to sit in the hostel, however, I wish there was a couch or comfortable chair.

Extreme cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. very nice staff and the visitors. We made friends. Will be back. Location also was central.

No air conditioner that was the only missing thing. Also, it would have been fantastic to have a small fridge in the room.
