The location was excellent! We spent our days here walking around the old neighborhoods of Quebec City and were able to conveniently come back to our room a couple times throughout the day to refill our water bottles and reapply our sunscreen since it was so close to the main thoroughfares. The hotel and street felt like Paris! Our room was clean and comfortable. Parking was $15 CA and was in a private lot right nextdoor. It was very worth it since we walked everywhere and it was nice having our car close to our room and off the street.
We have no complaints.

Such a cute little “French” style hotel. It was off of the beaten path but such easy walking distance to EVERYTHING! It was quiet and very comfortable and we loved our stay here! We were happy to see a small refrigerator in the room! The bed is very comfortable but I prefer a low loft pillows for my neck.
We knew there would be stairs as this is an older, charming hotel. I’m not complaining, just warning the stairs are narrow and steep, so take your time going up with heavy luggage. Also, the furniture is worn but everything is very clean.

Clean and comfortable, quiet despite its location (OK there were building works going on next door but they didn't start until 07.30hrs and didn't cause us any issues) Great central location, within easy walking distance of either the centre of old Quebec, or the outer areas away from the main tourist parts. Parking at only a small extra cost next to the hotel Fridge and other cooking facilities provided in the room Restaurants, bars and excellent bakery (great for breakfast) in nearby Rue St Jean outside the city walls Characterful, unlike the soulless modern (and more expensive) hotels in central Quebec)

We liked having a kitchenette and a terrace to prepare breakfasts and make coffee or tea. The location is great - we liked being close to a lot of stores and restaurants on Rue St Jean that we could go to. Staff was also kind and accommodated to us wanting to leave suitcases there while we finished up our Quebec City visit.
Since breakfast wasn’t provided, I would have liked to have a list of grocery stores or something similar, especially since we wanted to take advantage of the kitchen.

I mainly appreciated the kind receptionist; the location in the city center, yet in a very quiet little street; and the cleanliness of both the room and the bathroom.
The internet connection in the room was very bad; it was too often interrupted, it took very long to connect, it would be impossible, for instance, to watch a YouTube video. It was possible to check e-mails and a map, but with long "waiting times". In any case, this was the only inconvenience in the hotel. I had stayed there last year in another room and the connection there was OK.

The location was ideal. It was on the fringe of the old City. We walked everywhere. The hotel did have parking on site for only $10.00 a day. It was worth it. Several cafes were just a short walk away from where we stayed. It had a large deck connected to our room. We sat outside and played games on the large table provided.
The only thing that would have made it better would be if the weather had cooperated. It was very hot. Especially after the first day. Nothing anybody could do about that.

Such a quaint little spot atop the hills of Québec City! Comfortable hotel perched amid a historical area with a ton of incredible restaurants, and with such a reasonable price! Room service was very respectful of our belongings and timely to clean up and make the bed daily, and the reception staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. It took us at most 20min to walk leisurely to any historical and archeological sites, and maybe 10min at most to walk to any of the restaurants we ate at. Legitimately incredible place to stay
The only concern is the accessibility of the hotel, narrow, steep stairs and no elevator makes for a difficult stay if you have any mobility issues, but especially if you need a wheelchair. This is, of course, not the fault of the staff at all, but it is important to point out

We LOVED Au Petit Hotel. The room and bathroom were pretty standard, nothing fancy, but it was clean and adorable and quaint and the location is exceptional. We felt like we were tucked away, even though we were right in the city. We wished we had known how well-equipped the little kitchen portion of the room was - full sink, dish drainer, counter, plug-in induction burner, microwave, toaster oven, pan, cooking utensils, cutting board, cutlery, dishes/cups/glasses, coffee pot, tea kettle, and of course refrigerator/freezer - we would have stopped for a few groceries, so that we didn't have to eat out every meal. We did love having wine out at the bistro table on our terrace. If we return to Quebec City, we would definitely return to Au Petit Hotel.
I had a few suggestions - I would have liked a robe hook on the back of the bathroom door, and maybe another little trash can in the kitchen area (under the sink?). The reason I took one point off for comfort was because the bed was on the harder side (my boyfriend especially didn't like that). Also, it's probably time to upgrade the towels. Ours were pretty thin and stiff. We didn't have an issue, but our room in particular would not be appropriate for anyone with mobility issues, as there are outside stairs to it.

This Hotel is not a 2 star rating. We were not in the main building but right across. The room was freshly renovated and had the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Small but cozy. Comfortable. Compact and marvelous. All that you really need. Very homy and pleasant. Highly recommended if you do not care about extra, unnecessary space and marble floors.

Location is perfect. Room with 2 beds was very nice, very comfortable. Loved the extra sink in the room. Loved the access to the outdoor fire stairs through the window.
Parking is 15 CND a night We did not mind but our room was on the third floor with small staircase. So you may want to ask when booking, where the room is situated.
