Casa Puente Hotel is a gem nestled along a hillside in Valparaiso. This 1908 structure was completely rebuilt & modernized but reflects the character & charm of the Victorian era. Laden with art, every room features high ceilings, heat/AC, comfortable beds, great water pressure, & 5G Wifi. The breakfast room offers delicious food & fresh orange juice & features a large sunny terrace just outside. Staff is bilingual & offers explicit directions & info to local sites.

There are multiple levels with stairs, but the staff provides great service for luggage transport to all rooms.

The hotel is a beautiful art installation. The room was big and comfortable, as was the bed. It was beautifully furnished and decorated like all of the hotel. There are spaces to sit and enjoy the place, inside and out on the big terrace. Good views down and across the valley. Good breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Parking is a short step away in a secure location. The area is Cerro Alegere, one of the nicer bits of Valparaiso, with lots of restaurants and street art. It is easy to get down to the centre of town on the bay.

Everything! It was a delightful, art filled place to stay. The property, on the side of one of Valparaiso’s hills, was artfully and beautifully refurbished after having been vacant for 10 years. It’s visually intriguing from the street down its colored stairs snd ramp, and at first glance through the opened front door. The bedroom my husband and I shared was elegant. The bed very comfortable (and the wash stand and basin creatively unique). Windows allow great views. The staff with whom we had contact — mostly Manager Christopher, and Receptionist Fernando — were very thoughtful, welcoming, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed talking with them, their availability, and appreciated their help with luggage, This colorful, hilly UNESCO area was intriguing and invited walking — narrow, streets with murals on buildings and fences.

The hotel was situated in a nice and safe area of Valparaiso. Lovely room and bathroom, nicely decorated with arty features. The high ceilings and large windows with a nice view and light were a bonus. The whole hotel is chic and has many nice features (art and wine available to purchase). The hotel also displays a large comfy terrace; there was a smallish swimming pool but I didn't use it - the weather was a bit cool when I visited. The staff at the hotel were exceptional from front desk to restaurant- extremely nice and accommodating. I had travelled overnight and arrived early at the hotel, but my room happened to be ready and I was given access to it immediately despite the early hour of my arrival, which I was very thankful for. The breakfast was great. Within a few min walk there are a lot of restaurants and bars.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like as such, I just thought it was a real shame that despite having an amazing terrace, it was hardly used and they didn't serve any drinks there at all. You could have breakfast there and it was accessible at all times, but for lunch or dinner they didn't serve food or drinks. You could bring your own drink (if you plan ahead and by one before shops close), but there's no restaurant as such or even just a fridge from which to help yourself (in exchange of a fee) with a drink or a packaged snack. I found this a bit odd given the lovely views from the terrace and its size . I think they should certainly capitalise on the beautiful terrace they have by playing some chilled background music and offering a drink - just a thought :)

The staff were amazing! They made up for the fact that there are no elevators and many stairs and helped to carry our heavy luggage. They did everything with a smile and gave us amazing recommendations for lunch and dinner. The hotel is well located and close to excellent restaurants. The breakfast was good as well...they provided gluten free options which has been a rarity in my experience in Chile. Parking was safe (in a locked lot) next to the hotel and the hotel staff helped us carry our luggage to the hotel.

It would be good for people to know that the property is not accessible. There are a lot of stairs involved! I could feel the springs in the bed (but my partner didn't)...some room for improvement there.

The hotel was beautiful. I would stay again! It was a cold spell in the region--winter--so rooms were a little colder. I would love to stay in the summer time too. I loved my entire stay! A very magical hotel! Beautiful! I am glad that I stayed! I will tell others and look forward to my return stay.

We really enjoyed this lovely hotel. It is within easy walking distance to the artsy streets, restaurants and shops that are so much fun in Valparaiso. The hotel itself is beautiful with so much art throughout and the murals in the guest rooms are very fun. The parking was important for us and worked out well and was secure. Again it was great to have a large parking lot next to the hotel in this area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Valparaiso.

The property is delightful. The location is great, walking to all the central tourist spots, museums and restaurant. Each room is tastefully decorated. We ended up on the rooftop garden virtually every afternoon, especially for good happy hour promotions. Breakfast was good, nice selection and decent coffee. We will return.

The only negative was that when we made the booking, we went straight to the hotel's website, but when we booked, it took us to a 3rd party site, which added about 25% in taxes and other charges. The hotel said they did not know anything about the charges and were not a part of their fees. Lesson to be learned, don't trust that the hotel's website's booking button is actually booking directly with the hotel.

Wonderfully decorated lodging, very quaint, with a very nice breakfast room. Staff helped us get our luggage to our room downstairs from the reception desk. Each room was painted with murals from a selected local artist - our room was lovely. Very safe, secured parking area.

Hard to find the hotel from the street - we drove past it several times. Would have been awkward if we were using our own car to explore the city as the parking area was locked - staff had to hike up to the street and then part way down the block to lock/unlock the area. But we explored the city on foot and by Uber, so this wasn't a problem for us.

It was a memorable stay for 1 night. Our first-time visit to Valparaiso was wonderful. The hotel was so quiet during our stay. Probably was only us at that time. The room is spacious for two, clean, and tidy. The bathroom is spacious as well. The breakfast is basic. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is excellent for some mural streets (within walking distance) and the city center. Some restaurants are in walking distance. At night it was so quiet. I recommend the hotel for a short-stay.
