Beautiful old house built 1906 (as I was told when checking in) renovated with great taste and well maintained. Public spaces (shady garden/patio downstairs, and attic with balcony and great ocean views 3 floors above the garden) invite for relaxation (or laptop work with good WiFi). Excellent easy-to-use coffee machine at breakfast, including milk frothing for cappuccino, clean, well-maintained and actually working! Wonderful location - historic city center accessible in a 5-minute walk with lots of good restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Whoever had habitacion 10 (above my room) made me realize that you can hear every step (and every object the guests upstairs drop when coming back drunk at 1:30am). Obviously not something CasaBlu should be blamed for.

Great location. Our room had a good view and was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was Ok but lacked a bit of variety however the staff were wonderful and did there very best to support us throughout our stay. The manager was fantastic and did everything she could to correct our payment method as we were originally charged in the local currency which added to the cost of the room because of taxes. She ensured that this was corrected and we paid in US dollars thus saving a sizable amount from our final bill.

Our room was rather dark and although spacious the bathroom / toilet set up was quite strange. Shower was on one side of the room and hand basin and toilet were on the other side of the room. Also need to be aware that on the weekend there is a nightclub nearby which was rather loud until the early hours of the morning.

Everything about this beautiful old historical home/ hotel is charming and luxurious. We had an amazing stay in a very large, comfortable room with some of the best views we had in the city. The place is extremely clean and well maintained. The breakfast down in the ground level/courtyard was lovely and there were good options! The staff were helpful - we asked them to chill a bottle of wine for us as there is no fridge in the room, and there was no problem doing that! We wish we stayed there longer!!

I loved everything about this hotel. Its unique character, beautiful lounge rooms and garden, the art and decor. The breakfast was included and it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had- they even had gluten free and vegan options. Our room had ample storage and a large bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The location was great too- close to many cafes, restaurants, and art studios. I will recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Valparaiso!

Rodrigo & Paula and their staff went above and beyond to meet our EVERY need or desire. They assisted with early arrival requests, helped with dinner plans, provided inexpensive taxi options to attractions and our ship, provided everyone with a complimentary bottle of wine and assured the room was cleaned around our schedule. I so appreciated for the wonderful time we had at this beautiful boutique hotel. The service by all of of the staff is exemplary. It's one of the nicest breakfasts - in a perfect setting - I've ever had at a hotel. The main attraction is the beautiful view of the port from our room. The bed was comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the vast common space was utilized by us at various times throughout the day. Please know we very much enjoyed our four days and three nights at the CasaBlu. I can't say enough about the entire staff. If I'm in Valparaiso again, there's no where I'd rather stay! You'll be happy with this wonderful facility.

Loved our stay! The hotel's location in Cerro Alegre was perfect for exploring the vibrant neighborhood with its colorful houses, amazing street art, and the hipster vibe of Cerro Alegre. We enjoyed wandering around and discovering hidden gems. We were captivated by the hotel's unique blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. The interior design was exceptionally well-thought-out. Also the breakfast was a highlight – the fresh eggs with avocado and freshly pressed juice were amazing.

Very charming. Quite high up, so exceptional views of Valparaiso and Bay. Try to get Room 6, since it has huge picture windows and a particularly amazing view. Beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, but most don't speak much English, so communication is a bit difficult, although not a real problem. More of a guesthouse than a hotel, so doesn't have the full range of facilities of a hotel.

Great location for exploring the historic centre of Valparaiso. The hotel is in a fabulously renovated mansion, with beautiful details and quirky, interesting decor. With only 14 rooms it felt generously proportioned yet intimate, with a grand yet cosy lounge, and bright upper sitting room with a balcony with wonderful views. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier (we spoke no Spanish and they spoke no English). Parking was available in a secure garage - not cheap, but worth it for peace of mind.

We had the smallest room, which despite a generous floorplan was quite hot in the summer with no aircon and low ceilings. The hotel was almost empty so it would have been a nice touch to upgrade us, but of course we can't expect that. The shower was especially cramped and the bathroom window didn't open so it got quite steamy in there! Breakfast hours were very late which didn't suit our early start, although the staff did their best to lay out some bread, cereal and yoghurt for us.

Great location as we were able to walk around and find a late evening dinner spot and join walking tours in the morning. The breakfast was fantastic and our rooms were well decorated. I love the showers. Foreigners and not charged VAT but when I got home I saw that the auto bill via Booking.com had the VAT included - the hotel was quick to respond when I messaged them and everything was sorted promptly. Take a look if you end up pre-paying automatically. Also know that the room you see online may not be the one you receive. I was disappointed that we did not have what was pictured (this happened a few times in Chile at other properties too). The staff were quick to offer other options but they weren't the one in the pictures. We only stayed for a night and the bed was comfy and we enjoyed a late night drink on the patio off the living space upstairs so no complaints. The room was hot and I managed to get a battery operated mini fan so I was able to sleep without sweating as much.

Beautiful historic building turned into a hotel, in one of the nicest and most scenic neighbourhoods of Valparaiso. Large and comfortable rooms, lovely roof terrace, and good, varied breakfast.

The hotel still feels like the mansion it was, which is both good and bad. For instance, it has a huge and grand living room that is very quiet and felt a bit underutilized.
