Clean and elegant hotel, the interior design of the hotel is amazing. Not only that, their service is amazing 11/10.

The hotel location is strategic, right next to the hotel is the Hai di Lao restaurant and several other restaurants. it's not difficult to find food. A welcome drink is provided while waiting to check in, there is free afternoon tea, and if you are hungry at night from 8 pm to 10 pm you are provided with 1 free bowl of noodles. the room is very soundproof, you can't even hear the sound of rain. The breakfast menu doesn't have many choices but it's delicious. WiFi is very good, toiletries are very complete and smell great, charger cables are provided for all types of cellphones, hairdryer and sleeping pajamas. with a very good price per night, a very pleasant experience staying here, will definitely stay at this hotel again

Perhaps more variations on the breakfast menu could be added. I stayed 4 nights and the menu was almost the same every day

The staff were exceptionally well mannered and trained. The transport provided to the Canton Fair was punctual and the water and snacks provided on the way back was a nice gesture and greatly appreciated after a long tiring day. The breakfast was although small selection, but very well planned and prepared. The tea time free snacks were also well received. Even the all day free coffee is a great treat. I would definitely recommend this as one of the best choices to stay if you’re attending Canton

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel, which is perfect for Canton Fair attendees. The breakfast selection was outstanding, offering a variety of delicious options, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Kitty for her exceptional service, as well as Shagi and the rest of the team. Although I can’t remember all their names, each one contributed to making my stay truly memorable. Thank you all for your warmth and dedication to guest satisfaction!

We travel frequently and usually stay in 5star hotels. We have never experienced such incredible service as we did at The Arthur Hotel! The staff were always friendly & eager to assist. English was not an issue at all - 3 of the reception staff spoke excellent English (Yuki being the best-spoken) and the rest had translation devices, including the porters. Rooms: Free mini bar and water refills, including Evian and spring water daily. Beautiful, spacious rooms and modern, lovely bathroom with rain shower.. Loved the beautiful Chinese tea set, the multi-use power cables, the leather touches in the decor. Lots of thoughtful extras not even found in some 5 star hotels. Breakfast was extensive and included lots of fresh produce and a huge variety of items to choose from. Free high tea all afternoon including great coffee 15mins in traffic to the Canton Fair using the hotel’s luxury bus service, which also includes water and snack packs for guests. Yuki went out of her way to assist us and even ordered halaal food on her personal app for us, for delivery to the hotel where we could eat in the hotel restaurant.

It would be great if the vegetarian and fish options were kept separate to the meat for those of us who observe Halaal dietary requirements. The room and passage decor is rather eccentric- not sure where the horse theme comes from, but our room as beautiful and not over the top. (This won’t stop me from rebooking here) There is nothing interesting in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and the closest metro station is 15 mins walk. Catching a taxi right outside was very easy though. It takes 30-40mins to the shopping area around Guangzhou Railway Station at a cost of 40-60 yuan one-way. Despite this, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely rebook.

Excellent breakfast options, free afternoon tea, even free noodles 8-10pm. A really good hotel gym - dumbbells went up to 25kg, it was very clean, Pilates balls, modern spin bikes and 2 Incline benches. There's a FREE Laundry, which blew my mind as I've never had that in my travels. It includes the detergent and a dryer as well. Absolute game changer for anyone travelling who is athletic as well. There's an excellent restaurant next door with a duck icon on it. I recommend that. The staff are lovely and gave us Xmas presents. All the goodies in the mini bar were free! The room was huge and had a projector for a tv screen and the bed was the biggest I've seen. I loved the unusual decor of horses and racing around the hotel.

The coffee is pretty bad but then again, I'm Australian and we are coffee snobs. Go get barista coffee downtown or buy the Costa coffees in the tomato 7-11 or family mart convenience stores.

Centrally located, very clean, well maintained, and with simple but good facilities. The room had no window , but that wasn't an issue at all, and it was big and very clean. We appreciated the complementary tea time, with free flow of coffee, tea and pastries , at the breakfast/lobby area. It was a nice touch and definitely an added value in a cold and rainy day. Staff was friendly and kind. The price of room was a deal and had breakfast included and it was absolutely worth the money. Not an endless choice,at the breakfast buffet, but a nice selection.

No one was speaking a single word of English. And for a hotel like that, centrally located in one of the biggest city of China, that should be consider a minus. Apart from that, all good.

This is my 3rd visit to the Canton Fair, but my first time booking this hotel. The amenities of the Arthur Hotel made my stay so much more comfortable than usual. I loved that there was coffee, water and fruit in my room. The free breakfast is extensive and allows you to kick off the day without worry of your first meal. I also really appreciated the Canton Fair free shuttle. When I attended on Oct 2023 there were 4 different departures in the morning 8, 8:30, 9, and 9:30. There was also one shuttle back from the fair at 6pm. I was delightfully surprised to be greeted with a cold water and goodie bag as I boarded the bus. A small luxury but very much appreciated after a long day. It should be noted that the staff does not speak English, but I believe the hotel tried to remedy this for the Canton Fair weeks by hiring 2 translators. They’re not always there, so I would manage your expectations about communication. In any case the staff is very friendly and tries their best to help you with translator apps. Location is pretty good. The closest metro stop is Tancun (exit C) and it’s only a 12 minute walk from the hotel and very straight forward.

I will say I have no idea if the WiFi was good, because my VPN was not working. I wasn’t able to access my normal websites and relied on a few apps on my phone and my cell signal. I don’t think this is a reflection of the hotel’s WiFi, but rather the overall censorship in China.

its basically an all inclusive hotel they didn't tell you about! This was an amazing feature! The staff and cleaning ladies are really friendly, FREE included laundry, FREE breakfast, Complimentary bowl of noodles at night (noodle bar) , Complimentary decent breakfast bar. I was thrown off by the HORSE themed everything .. but later found out its part of what use to be a race track. They fill your mini fridge with amenities, like a few drinks , and roll by with fruit. Really amazing and friendly staff. The have a basic nice gym with free weights, cycle machines and treadmill. The AC was on point and excellent.

they need more air circulation in the hallways, from the smoking side , it gets stuffy and a bit Smokey, check in process took a bit long and cumbersome. They didn't tell you on the website some of the cheaper rooms have NO window outside ! its a makeshift window with fake plants and lighting. I didn't like how far it was from the train station (15min walk) to Tancun train station. Also the location kinda sucks , there is NOTHING out there, it is close by to Zhujiang New town and has malls. and there's no 711 of Family mart to buy drinks.
