Good location , friendly front desk staff, helpful and friendly housekeeping staff. Breakfast was good value and a wide range of dishes. Internet access was much better than expected. The staff in executive lounge were great !

The breakfast team , particularly the desk at the entrance were not very friendly or welcoming. No smile or greeting just a “tap your card” . One staff member snatches your card out of your hand to tap it. Really weird, does not trust the guest to tap their card ? More interested in making sure you have paid than welcoming hotel guests. Not a good start to the day.

Locality

The number of days they took to change linen and considering that I arrived day after midnight to be specific I don’t arrive on the 18 th but it was after midnight 19 so I missed out on one day and when I asked for late check out they only gave me up to 3 pm I wanted 6 pm due to my flight being 00:15 . I thought they were going to be considerate

Very good Location. 10 mins walk to Guangzhou station. 10 mins walk to the Masjid/Mosque. 2 mins to Mc Donalds, Starbucks, 7 Eleven, small groceries

I recently spent a week at China Hotel in Guangzhou, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive, making us feel right at home. To our surprise and delight, we received a free room upgrade to a luxurious suite spacious, beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was another highlight absolutely amazing with a huge variety of local and international options, freshly prepared and full of flavor. Every morning felt like a new culinary adventure. The hotel itself is elegant, clean, and perfectly located, offering everything one could need for a comfortable and memorable stay. I highly recommend China Hotel Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city it’s truly a top-tier hotel with outstanding service. I will definitely return!

The hotel is in a very good location. the metro is right next to the hotel and this is important for Guangzhou. The hotel is very clean, very well maintained, despite the fact that when we were there it was its 40th anniversary, it looks great and the staff is very good. The nudist administrator was greeted by a lovely girl named Gina Wu, Of course, thank her very much. Unfortunately, a small number of the staff speak English well, but this is generally a small problem, and this girl, she helped very, very much. Thank her.

We liked everything. It is clear that the hotel management takes a very responsible approach to their work.

Loved everything about our stay at China Hotel. Staff were lovely, rooms were big and replenished daily with all the essentials. Favourite part of hotel would be the Health Space, with the gym, pool and separate F/M spas, sauna and steam room. Buffet Breaky, Lunch and Dinners were also good, Breakfast was our favourite for the price. Lots of seafood served at the buffet meals too if you love seafood.

Musty Smells - be great if windows could be opened to allow proper airflow. Laundry - expensive and limited in the area. Consideration to put drying racks in rooms for people who don't mind hand washing their clothes to dry.

Transport The China Hotel is exceptionally accessible to public transport with Yuexiu Park metro station right next door. Guangzhou has one of the best metro systems I have experienced anywhere in the world, which makes it a breeze to get to attractions scattered throughout the city. Reception Upon arrival at the hotel, reception was prompt and smooth. We had booked a Premier King but got upgraded to an Executive Studio, which we really appreciated. The Accommodation Spacious room with king bed, a pillow menu, air conditioning, sufficient power points, large television, mini bar (that can be stocked via their WeChat menu), coffee machine, bath, large shower, ablution facilities, lounge, and work desk. The room was clean, cleaning staff were thorough and kept us well stocked with water, shampoo, soap and towels. Heaps of wardrobe space. View of the pretty garden and floodlit tennis court. Breakfast Breakfast was included in the price and well worth a leisurely hour or two each morning to plan out the day. Food was plentiful, including a sushi station, salad bar, bakery section, hot dishes (both Western-inspired and Asian), coffee and juices. Staff responded promptly and kept the Veranda Cafe tidy. Amenities There is a pool with water temperature that felt comfortable enough, despite winter, gym and spa facilities, which we did not use. Recommendation I would absolutely recommend the China Hotel. Not only is it a historic destination in itself - with plentiful art and artifacts on display - but well situated to take advantage of Guangzhou’s treasures.

The staff are very polite and helpful. We arrived early in the morning before 9am and we were allowed to check in to our room. Also, our flight out was late night and they allowed to extend till afternoon (the time we requested for). Also, we requested for higher floor, quiet room when we booked the room and all our requests were met. The room is clean and spacious with nice view of Canton Tower. The location of the hotel is very convenient, there is an metro (subway) entrance right at the door step of the hotel. So, it was easy for us to travel around from the hotel using the metro. Also, there is a nice Dim Sum restaurant (reasonable price and tasted good) nearby, ie., within 10- 15 minutes walking distance.

Check-in and out was really simple and quick. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. They even provided a free upgrade for us which was unexpected, but welcomed after a long flight. Considering the price, you cannot beat the facilities, room-size and breakfast. Breakfast always had a great selection that was cooked really well. If you have an executive room, it gives you further access the Executive lounge, complimentary Afternoon tea and evening cocktails. It is in a good location, which cut down travel time for us each day. We wish we had more time to enjoy all the Hotel had to offer, but we would recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again.

The shower was slightly outdated, but bathroom was really spacious overall.

The breakfast buffet offers a delightful mix of Chinese and Western dishes, catering to all tastes. The staff is professional, attentive, and always eager to help. The hotel’s amenities, including a fitness center and pool, add great value to the stay. Highly recommended!
