First of all, Vivian, the host, is a very friendly, helpful and kind lady that made my stay very comfortable and cozy through: 1) she helped me out with Alipay installation (which is a must at least in Hangzhou); 2) greeted me with tea and homemade cookies; 3) let me taste some other sweet stuff with nuts (delicious by the way); 4) washed my jeans (nothing couldn’t get wet in those rainy days, even the clothes in the luggage); 5) provided some recommendations for sightseeing, etc. Secondly, the place is really clean and cozy. It is really clean as my nose was not blocked. Also, spacious room with everything that you need. And, of course, tasty breakfast (homemade as well).

I wish the place was a bit closer to the bus station but otherwise it’s all great.

The room was a decent size, very clean and well designed with all we need. Many thoughtful little details and homecook breakfast was delicious. The house is in the west lake scenic area, as the weather was so cooling, we took a 10 mins stroll walk to lake. 20 mins drive to Hefang Street and Lingyin temple. The host Vivian was very helpful and friendly, she woke up at 6am to send us off and helped us book the taxi to the train station when we couldn't get one. I left my charger in her place and.without hesitation, she agreed to mail it to me when. I was in GZ. I highly recommend Rock&Cozy House.

A cozy homestay. Staff was friendly and spend time to interact with us. Sharing experience and recommend places to visit. The location is near the Tai Zi Wan Garden, Xi Hu's Su Ti is like 30mins walk from the homestay. They provide different type of breakfast on our 2 night stay. There a few restaurants around the neighbourhood that provide decent local food. There is also a convenient store within 3 mins walk. In fact, this was my second time staying here, and still they provided excellent service.

Hospitality in its fullest sense. We can’t put into words how well we were taken care of. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was perfectly arranged. She even gave me a small gift for Women’s Day. It truly warms my heart that someone with such passion and love wants to pamper us. She makes the entire breakfast herself—super fresh and absolutely delicious. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night, but we hope to return soon. It was simply fantastic!

Conveniently located near Xihu and scenic gardens. The tranquil and quiet location of the homestay along with the warm & thoughtful hospitality provided a conducive environment for rest & respite. The rooms were cozy, clean and well furnished. Appreciated the heated floors in the bath areas of the room. Enjoyed the variety and delicious daily breakfast. The owner (Vivian) was very friendly and helpful in providing travel suggestions & advice.

We had a wonderful stay at this Rock and Cozy place! The host Vivian was incredibly friendly and professional, making communication easy in both English and Chinese. The place was spotless and very convenient, with a beautiful osmanthus tree just outside the balcony that added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and a nice bonus. It's a perfect spot for families, and we will definitely be back again! Highly recommend!

We loved the house. It’s far from the hustle and bustle of the city but very close to the West Lake, which you can explore by foot from here. The rooms are impeccable- not only are they very clean but I really enjoyed the layout. Everything has its place and they feel quite spacious. The host is amazing! She’s very kind and helpful. The breakfast which is freshly prepare by her and her friends each morning is the cherry on top :)

The breakfasts were great ,made by Vivienne and her helper . One day was more British, one day Chinese . Vivienne was so helpful planning our days too and answering questions about the area . Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The location near the lake was ideal and the local restaurant nearby was excellent

Possibly a small fridge would be Nothing really , though no fridge in the room which would be an added bonus

Located within walking distance of the West entrance to Westlake Park (famous lake, gardens and scenic trails), Rock & Wood Cosy House was perfect for our one night stay in this part of Hangzhou. We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional hospitality of our host, Sally. Despite an early pm arrival, she warmly welcomed us in both Chinese and English. (Her English language skills are top notch.) Sparkling water and a fruit snack further enhanced our welcome. After our walk in Westlake Park we were offered fresh baked scone like treats (yummy) and hot tea. To suit us, breakfast was English breakfast style with fresh brewed coffee.

The property is located on a narrow, dead end, street with limited options for cars to park or trun around, so possible access issues if other cars already in the street. (Luckily, we had no issues.)

Viviens Place is close to west lake and the surrounding but rather a drive to the city centre. It is a perfect place to escape the noisy and busy city!! The area is very quite, the house very welcoming (feels like your own living room). The room was very spacious and very clean Vivien and her family are fantastic hosts and are available for every question and guide you perfectly through your stay in Hangzhou I will definitely come back!!
