We are delighted we discovered Sotavento Cabanas. it is a true gem of a small resort. It is set outside the town of Guatape, but an easy 10 minute ride by tuk tuk to the activity, giving you the very best of both worlds. We were in coral cabin, which was on the second floor. The view of the water with the great rock in close distance was wondrous. It seemed that all the cabins had excellent views. We had dinner there two nights, both were first rate and reasonable. Included a lovely breakfast served on your balcony, which never disappointed.

This small resort strives for perfection both in the beauty of the facility as well as the welcoming service of the staff, no need for improvement needed.

It is a very beautiful, nice location. I totally recommend the jet ski rental and experience the various open water areas around the location. The supplied breakfast in the morning was perfect. It's close to the rock and also close to the city of Guatapé. Getting there via chiva was very easy. Staff was great, and they made sure that everything was perfect, answered.All questions and actually help with some transportation. I would definitely come back again

There wasn't much I didn't like other than the high humidity. It would have been nice to have a fan in the room..

I booked the smaller cabana with the view directly from the tub. The jets weren't working, so they upgraded me to a bigger room!

There's only one key per room. And of course I locked myself out. I'm already a native English speaker, and after the upgrade, for me to have forgotten my key in the room...I just felt like an embarrassed foreigner. The staff were great! They had to crawl through the window to get into the room and retrieve the key. I wish it was as easy of just getting another key from the front desk though!

Loved everything here. We had delicious lunch when we arrived and breakfast was also delicious. I loved that we could just message them in Whatsapp to order. Rooms are super clean and have everything you will need and there was a porch and terrace with a gorgeous view. The best part was the service though. The owner helped us to get anything we needed and a reliable taxi on our way to the airport.

There are a lot of items there you need to pay extra for, that I think they can minimize to fewer items.

All in all, it was great. Very nice and cozy in the cabin. The jacuzzi overlooking the rock is a delight !!!! Thanks for the awesome place. ☺️🙏🏻🥰👏

The staff is a little inattentive. For example, they didn't help us with our bags. A small thing, but still in places of this level I usually always get help carrying my bags to my room ☺️ This is a small suggestion for improvement ☺️🙏🏻

I liked EVERYTHING. The location is perfect. A short ride (arranged by staff) via tuc tuc from Sotavento to El Penon and to town. The cabanas are extremely well maintained and comfortable. Overlooking the lake and surrounded by lush vegetation, the setting is serene. availability of free kayak to use on the lake is a nice side activity. I though the food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. ALL the staff was exceptional and responsive. honestly, I lucked out finding this place and loved everything about it.

Located in the nature. Water sports available for free Rooms are nice.

Got to do something about the mirrored windows. Birds keep constantly flying into it / fighting the mirror making alot of noise and waking up guests at 5-6 am.

everything!!!!! if you looking for a good hotel in guatape then go to this hotel. in one word amazing! location, the food, and special all the people who work there they are amazing very friendly and willing to help always! I forgot his name but the manager there special thanks to him! he made it for me and my wife a special trip!! it’s a hotel like 10 stars!
