Friendly staff, great location, food was good, and beds were comfortable, the room was spacious with an amazing view. They have 2 pools, a jacuzzi, Steam room, sauna, and a kids water area. You can also book the Majestic Lake cruise which is docked at the Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room I booked was not what I got as per the website photo. It was a premium room, with a view. The view I got was into the parking lot. They accommodated me, but I had to pay more. The transition went smoothly.

Great lake view from the room (we paid for an upgrade), large comfortable and spacious room. The bed was super sized and very comfortable. Everything worked in the room. We enjoyed our lunches by the pool. Quick service and really tasty local snacks and sauces.

The check in was agonizingly slow. It took ages for photocopies of passports to be made, constant checking and consulting with other check in staff. It took 3 people to check us in. It wasn't until a supervisor (I am assuming she was a supervisor as she seemed to take control) stepped in that things began to move. It took well over half an hour to check in for a one night stay. And the hotel was not busy at all as we stayed mid week. It really doesn't create a good impression for tourists. The staff themselves were polite and nice, but they really need much, much better training.

Great staff very helpful accommodating I recommend taking the restaurant trip during the evening. It’s great you get dinner you see the sunset and it’s a good time for a great price.

It was hard to get the JetSki rental. I think they needed more jet skis. They only had three and when we went there, I was there with two other people we wind up, waiting about one hour, but the jet skis was awesome. The staff there to help you get the JetSki’s was awesome I just feel like maybe they should. I had more than just three maybe have like five or six so it’s a little bit quicker instead of waiting for an hour to get on the JetSki.

The location and views are amazing. The food services were great. They cooked specifically for my children.

The food was ok. The kids meals seemed more appetizing than the buffet that was provided. The rooms are outdated and the hot water was not very hot. The jacuzzi that we paid extra for never got warm. And the mattress need immediate updating. It bowed in the middle.

The breakfast wasnt so good in relation to the hotel. And there must be maintenance of the showers , artefacts, accesories etc.. as the hotel is already 20 to 30 years.

The location and view of El Penol is the best thing about Los Recuerdos. Being able to look out at the rock from our room and the surrounding water and the closeness of it was amazing. The staff was also very helpful and friendly, the pool and sauna were nice and the breakfast was decent. We ordered dinner one night and found the food very good. If you want to do a Helitour it’s also cheaper if you’re staying at this hotel. The private boat tour we did with Hector, a hotel employee, was also excellent. He’s been with the hotel 30 years and was originally from the little town that was moved when the lake was created, so great history lesson from him!

We were there during the week when many of the hotel services aren’t offered like the spinning restaurant/bar and the yacht. Many spaces were closed off, but I think they could have at least a few extra niceties for those who stay there during the week, like a coffee station.

The location. This is the best you can get when visiting La Piedra El Peñol. The junior suite rooms has a great view of the lake and La Piedra. Great attendance/service. We were able to check in a bit earlier that required. Very amicable staff at front desk and the rest of the facility. Good speed WiFi connection and stable at all times. Facility has a gym and play room. We have also booked a trip with Majectic yacht. A definitely good one.

The food at restaurant El Tenedor needs attention to taste, presentation and quality. This is the restaurant at location that serves the included breakfast. Also in the room we were missing a coffee/tea maker.

This was our second time we stayed in this beautiful hotel. We liked the staff attention, especially the room service. The junior suite was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and with a spectacular view to la Piedra del Peñol. Our favorite part of the hotel is the big jacuzzi with beautiful views also. My mom enjoyed the 'Yate Majestic'. And the location of the hotel is very near and walkable distance to La Piedra.

The swimming pool temperature is very cold.

The room is HUGE -- and the view is the best -- Right on the lake. Helicopter tour; short flight was perfect and reasonable price. Two beautiful pools. Friendly staff...

The room below ours was playing LOUD music for HOURS -- Finally stopped about midnight, but I had to call the front desk twice...

It had very nice amenities and views. It was easy to access Guatapé and la piedra but if you wished you could stay on property the whole time and have everything you needed.

It was hard to get to la piedra, which is a short walk away. The road outside the hotel is very busy and there are no sidewalks. We found this to be the most challenging part, we felt very uncomfortable walking along the busy road.
