First of all, the host/stuff were amazing. The lady from the reception is one of a kind, she helped me with everything I needed, including extra activities as jet ski, paraglading or taxi to the airport. Also: - the view from the bungalow is amazing - the food and serving were good as well - very close to the center - you cab exchange money there

very clean, First Impression just incredible, the housing is really beautiful, rooms are light and clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly. great view, very calm and safe. kayak rental available for 40K for 4 hours

the mattress of the bed was quite old. when you order a granola bowl you get cornflakes with flavoured yoghurt. the better option I would say is a selection of the eggs with some sides. but these are just minor things. we had a fantastic stay!

I loved my little bungalow on a beautiful secluded lake in this quaint town of guatepe. The room was small but comfortable for one. The staff were very nice and always wanting to help; even though lacking in English. The ability to kayak was a great bonus for me.

Neighbouring construction; not too bad.

The receptionists, Sandra and Juan, were very helpful in arranging transportation with a taxi from the airport to the hotel at 10 at night. Excellent communication through whats app. Sandra helped us arrange a hiking tour one day. We rented their kayaks only $10 for 4 hours, put sunscreen on the sun is very strong, we kayaked to the rock and saw many properties. Breakfast was very good! View of the lake from our bungalow was gorgeous. Very peaceful.

There is no warm water, there is not even a control, so no water heater. Hard to take shower.

This place was incredible! The view from the common space and the rooms is so beautiful. My friend and I literally felt like home, thanks to the generous staff. Let's say that Mia, the adooorable cat, added something to it as well ;) You can rent kayaks or paddleboards directly at the hotel: it's worth doing it!

I loved the warm welcome and treatment I received by Sandra from the front desk. She assisted me with booking a tour and was incredibly kind and helpful as I was traveling alone and this was my first time in Guatape. The views from the hotel were amazing and my room and bathroom were clean and tidy. I would absolutely stay there again!

The place combines the simplicity of a local house, with amazing views, nice rooms, and organized and client-oriented staff. I would totally recommend the Presidential Suite as it has an amazing view, hot tub, and a welcome bottle of wine. Finally, the location while not totally central, is quite good as you are away from all the noise and still only a 10min walk away from the main square. PS: Free parking on premises was very convenient.

When we received our room, it had open doors to the water to enhance the amazing view. However, this attracted a number of bugs that we had to deal with later on. This could have been prevented. Also, you can easily hear all people walking around in the morning as the floor/ceiling is quite noisy.

Everything was new and clean, very nice place. Amazing view, on the lake and you can see the rock. There was a net you could sit on to relax and see the sunset. You can rent kayaks and go for a paddle in the lake. Breakfast was included, simple but nice.

Wifi didn't work in the room, we had to go out to the shared area. The room was crowded, we had 1 doubke bed and 1 pull out mattress that took the whole floor space, wasn't so comfortable during the day. Bring mosquito repellant, once it gets dark they come out

We booked 3 double rooms at La Madriguera. The hotel was located about a 10 minute walk from downtown Guatape. It is located towards the back of the city up a hill so it has great views overlooking part of the lake, the city and El Peñón. It was quiet compared to other parts of the town which I greatly appreciated. The rooms were basic but comfortable, check-in was easy, and everyone at the hotel was friendly. Best part: they have an adorable kitty named Mia who was the star of the show. We would definitely stay here again!

There was no bar. Internet was spotty in our rooms (but strong in the lobby).

I had a very pleasant stay at la Madriguera. The hotel is located a bit outside the town, which is why its very calm at night. From my room I had a great view over the lake and the mountains. The staff was very helpful and nice.
