This property was really dog friendly. I was travelling with my small dog and the staff was really great and they also had another small dog at the property. Great accommodations and location. Very well maintained and big outdoor space, nice to be surrounded by lots of nature and being able to walk 10min to the center of Minca. Nice breakfast and restaurant on site if needed. The pool area is great and they have direct access to the river. Very cool place highly recommend.

The property is really nice, it's huge, with plenty of social areas to enjoy and relax, swimming pool (too cold water for me but my bf enjoyed it), jacuzzi (not the cleanest or warmest but it does the job), ping pong, pool table, direct access to the river. The garden is beautiful and kept so nicely that is a real pleasure to sit and enjoy it. The restaurant has very good dishes for a reasonable price. The room was nice, clean and the shower was warm. The team working at the property is very helpful and really nice people, they made us feel at home and very comfortable.

CHUNUU is a lovely glamping park descending from the reception to the valley bottom along the river. The plants and flowers are gorgeous and it has several spots for reading relaxing chilling out. Not easy to reach by car (but still reachable with a standard car), you can take walking shortcut to reach the village

The rooms are simple and no frills, despite the colorful paint. You definitely need insect repellant and pay attention to sandflies or similar insects. Breakfast could be a bit more varied on the biscuit/cake/toasts side.

Spacious dorm with good ensuite bathroom/shower facilities. Great location a short and pleasant walk across the river to town and very quiet in the evenings. Staff are friendly, can't comment on service as we never ordered anything from the restaurant/bar. Breakfast was good, the biggest breakfast we have had in Colombia that was included in our accommodation price. A/C worked well, although to be honest at night in Minca you don't really need it.

Wifi was down everywhere but the reception (few minutes walk form the dorm) during our stay so if we had come to use it as a 'Co-working' space we would have been very disappointed. Very busy at weekends, not really an issue if you hang out in town or go hiking as we were rarely at the hostel, but it does mean that breakfast on the weekends takes AGES to obtain if you are not the first ones there. Everyone queues up to be served the food from a buffet set-up and the serving takes a very long time! If you want to start hiking early, make sure you are first in line!

Breakfast was decent - they provided small amount of fruit, eggs and white bread, hot chocolate, and fresh juice. The location is a little up hill - but getting there on a motorbike from main area in town centre was easy, quick and cheap (5 mil pesos). I didn't walk but i think it would be at least a 15-20 min walk into town centre. Me and my child stayed in a glamping wooden tent which was such a wonderful special experience. We absolutely loved the tent and experience there. The room is small but enough space for a few nights - has a bed a night table and some space on floor to place your luggage and shoes, also have a fan in room and some hooks to hang clothes or towels. Also has a mosquito net which you'll need to use. Loved the wooden glamping tent! We had an amazing relaxing time connecting to nature and to each other. With no tv and hardly used my phone. We did outings and day trips during the day and came back to chill and rest at Chuunu in the evening. You can hang your clothes and towels right outside the room by the hammocks. We also had chill days or evenings by and in the pool with the bar right there to enjoy a cocktail and a game of pool. The property is on a hill slope with so many awesome areas to enjoy and relax - hanging hammocks, chairs, hanging cocoons. its absolutely beautiful and right by the river also. I wanted to stay longer but they were booked out so we didn't stay an extra night and we continued on to Santa Marta for the beaches. I would absolutely recommend this place. If you want to head to santa marta after your stay in Minca, get a busetta in town for 10 mil pesos, so much cheaper than a taxi o caro particular,

Things that were not so positive: They have some stray dogs on the property that are a little annoying when you want to relax. I love dogs, but one night i had a delicious cake i bought in town and wanted to devour it and left it outside mY tent for less than a minute as i went inside to grab my sweater and i came out and two dogs were eating it and run off. that really annoyed me and another night one of them kept jumping on me and dirtied my clean clothes with its muddy paws. More disappointing, the staff are not so friendly. They hardly smile and do not really greet warmly upon arrival. They're not so friendly and warm like people in Santa Marta. Also, I am vegetarian, and they have NO vegetarian options on they're menu at all, so best to eat in town as they're are more options.

Best breakfast ever! Friendly stuff Maaany places to chill around in the hostel - swimming pool, jacuzzi!!, Hammocks and plenty of sofas and other creative seats all around. Nice chilled atmosphere Very close to the main street with Moto taxi, and close to the Mirador hostel where you can go watch the sunset for 5000 COP. Hot water!! Wow Air conditioning 👍

Not good for sunset or sunrise which is the main reason people come to minca. Sun was going down behind the hostel where you can't see anything. Overall there are many trees around and the hostel is located to low, so the view wouldn't be amazing anyway When coming back to the hostel in the night you cannot see absolutely nothing, as there are no lights around. For a single person it can be a bit scary, but it's only like 10 min walk so not the end of the world:)

We stayed in the wooden tents and it was such a magical experience. The entire hostel area feels a bit like you're inside Alice in Wonderland. It's just by the river, so you can walk down for a swim any time, or relax by the pool or in the jacuzzi. There's an infinite number of hammocks, pods and other chill-out areas, so your harder decision every day may be to decide which of them you'll be relaxing in today. It's hidden away in the forest and still just a short walk to the centre of Minca and all the restaurants.

The staff could do with a bit more enthusiasm and friendliness. The showers were very old and only had cold water.

-good place if you want a little social break at a low price (for your backpacking trip) -amazing AC -6 mins walk from town -beautiful place, installations and next to the river -good breakfast -super nice staff

-if you want a social atmosphere and make friends don’t come here, it was saddly really empty (we were 2 in my 10 persons dorm) -they don’t have any social activities -it felt a bit like a resort/hotel more than a hostel vibe

It was a huge resort with lots of nice spaces to relax (hammocks/nets/pool). We had a room with A/C which was really comfortable and quiet. Best breakfast we’ve had in Colombia, buffet style with lots of options.

When we arrived all the windows had been left open in our room so there were 5/6 mosquitos waiting for us. The shower head was quite old and the water never got warm. Quite secluded resort, but still only 5-10 minute walk to the busy area.

The staff here were absolutely amazing and friendly. Dorms suprisingly comfortable (though curtains for the beds could be nice) with solid shower and bathroom facilities. Location along the river was great, though a walk out of town. Pool and hang out facilities were also solid - though mostly used by Colombian families visiting on holiday on the weekends. Food was good if on the pricier end for Colombia. Overall a nice stay.
