View was amazing, the rooms were sparse but that helped focus the attention on the beauty of the location. We upgraded our room to a junior suite 104 and loved the fully retractable glass doors in front of the living area and jacuzzi. The tub was a great add on but not perfect. The breakfast was delivered to our room for no charge and was just spectacular in front of our great view.

The jacuzzi in our room did not have jets, but 4 bubblers that got water everywhere on the floor and side of the tub, additionally it did take quite a long time to fill the tub. Additionally while there was a smart TV in the room, there was only a direct TV remote, and it was unfortunately out of service during our stay.

I would like to thank the owners of this hotel for sharing this special place with the rest of us. This is truly a special spot on this planet and one of Colombia's true gems. The views of the Cocora Valley from this hotel are breathtaking. Truly! The location is amazing. The hotel room was above and beyond my expectations. The view from the king bed, just wow! The hotel staff were wonderful. The kitchen staff were so very kind and served me the best pancakes I have ever had in Colombia! Thank you so much to everyone at this hotel. Great experience.

That I had to leave!

Location was perfect. Property looks amazing as you arrive in the car. The lobby opens up to a great view of the mountains. The rooms are incredible with the view, hot tub, mini bar, TV, big bathrooms etc. we stayed in the Mountain View Suite. Amazing room! All of the staff we came across were incredibly helpful and polite. Rooms were very clean and well put together. Location is great, best of both worlds having unobstructed valley views and then being a 3 minute walk to the main colourful street and also some great restaurants for food. Greta choice at breakfast from pancakes to empanadas to a sandwich along with drinks and fresh fruit.

These points are not so much negatives, however they are points of possible improvement. The beds are quite hard, similar to those you would come across in Japan, however and extra blanket under the sheets this the job, it wouldn’t stop me returning. Perhaps some of the information material within the room could do with replacement as looking a little old and worn but that’s no big deal. Lastly, the hotel could really benefit from having a bar on site, even in the room with the fireplace overlooking the valley. I would much rather have a few beers with that view than strolling down to the town. Overall a great location and I would return if in the area.

The room was even better than expected when first booked based on the photos. The view was spectacular and we could see the entire Cocoa valley with a great opportunity for once in a lifetime sunrises. The patio was perfect to relax and take in the view along with the hot tub which we enjoyed one night. The staff was also excellent and very responsive and caring. This was also right at the edge of town and made it super easy to walk into town whenever we wanted.

The bed was rock-hard and very uncomfortable. The towels also seemed thin.

The view is insane ! The staff is friendy and nice. We had an economy room, so it is small, and is loud, as the window goes into the reception. But it was ok.

The humidity in Salento is high, and there is no additional ventilation in the bathroom, so everything is constantly wet. The breakfast is served (starts at 7:30 am), so you have to wait for the waiters to take your order (not all the options are announced). If you are in a hurry it is difficult, we were waiting for 30min to be served with 2 eggs and a piece of bread. It depended on the day and the person who was working. But the staff itself was nice.

The hotel is located at the top of Salento village, so you have stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty of restaurants at 5-8 min walk away. The location is great, 5 min walk from the center. We had a standard double room with an inner courtyard view, located on the ground floor, so we had the blinds drawn all the time so that people outside couldn't see our room, but the hotel's back terrace with the mountain view is a big highlight for this hotel and we enjoyed relaxing there whenever possible. Staff were very nice, they helped us with the transfer to/from Pereira airport.

This is a really beautiful hotel. Our room had big glass sliding doors on the first floor which opened up the whole front of the room. This helped to cool down the room as there is no aircon or fan. The view from our room over the Cocora Valley was absolutely priceless. The bed was very comfortable and there was also a hammock in the room. The breakfast consisted of fruit juice, toast and eggs made to order, and coffee. Although there was no variety, it was very tasty. There is no lift, but the staff helped to take our luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are 3 or 4 restaurants a short walk away, on the way to the Mirador de Cocora Valley. About a 1 - 2 minute walk away.

The staff are very noisy. They cleaned the rooms between 3 and 4 pm and were talking very loudly to each other while doing so. The rooms are close together and because the sliding doors open all the way above the patio, the noise and loud talking of the staff were unpleasant, especially as we wanted to take a nap after our hike to the wax palm forest.

This amazing hotel is all about the breathtaking vista! The view from our room and the terrace was captivating; we spent hours just gazing at the valley, watching the parrots, woodpeckers, swallows, and tanagers. But besides the great view, we appreciated the hotel’s commitment to quality, service, and cleanliness. It’s a short walk to the village’s restaurants, and the hotel is very comfortable and quiet, and completely avoids street noise. The room was well laid out, very comfortable, and perfect for the two of us. The shower was superb. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were flawless. We would give them an “11” if we could!

The reason for the wonderful vista is that the hotel is uphill from the town center. This may not be good for someone who would have trouble walking uphill.

The back patio overlooking the mountain is a huge highlight of the hotel and I enjoyed lounging out there whenever possible. I also appreciated the tasty breakfast and friendly staff.

It would be nice if the property had a set of binoculars available for people to use on the back patio. The room that I stayed in was a bit small and the tiny wooden chairs in the room didn’t really make sense as furniture anyone would want to use. Also be aware the hotel is nestled atop a large hill on the edge of town that requires a semi-difficult walk uphill but it makes sense to get the gorgeous view of the mountains.

Well located in Salento with a splendid view from the terrace (where you can have your breakfast) and from some rooms. Spacious room. I understand there have been reconstructions recently so most of the buildings and rooms look brand new. It’s the first hotel in Colombia where I didn’t hear the people talk in other rooms, or their tv. The breakfast is good. I had read some comments about the fact that it’s difficult to have enough time for breakfast if you have planned to start a trek at 8 am. Unfortunately it’s true. Some days all the guests show up at 7.30 (breakfast starting time) and as it is service at the table, they can’t serve everyone at once. I could see that the staff do their very best and for me the situation was ok as I could postpone my treks at 8.15. But since the management must be aware of the situation, I think they could consider starting breakfast earlier and/or amending the process.

The breakfast process/schedules could be improved (see above). Although the room is big, there aren’t many outlets on the wall so don’t expect to charge many devices at the same time. One side of the bed has neither outlets nor light switch. I had booked a transportation service to the airport the day before, like they told me, however nothing was ready when I had to go and there was some confusion. Fortunately that was resolved quickly and efficiently enough by the staff.
