The view to Valle del Cocora is just amazing and I mean it. You can’t get any better view and we have been in Salento many times in different hotels. Breakfast was to die for: fresh fruit, eggs in many presentations and the best coffee. The hotel it’s located close to the main area of town, La plaza del Pueblo and close to all the curio shops around. Get some “Cafe de Origen” so you can try different flavors of coffees made in the region. Love this town and this a great choice of hotel if you are planning on a visit.

The view! It’s the best.

We got a mountain view room and it did not disappoint us! The view was spectacular. It is the same view you get from Mirador (viewpoint) close by. The room was clean and the hotel is very quiet (especially at night). The breakfast was very good. I would come back and stay here.

Remember that the hotel has a great view. This means it is at a higher elevation than the rest of the town. So, coming back to the hotel is an exercise for your quads! The only thing that I would fault is that the WiFi is spotty. It may drop depending on your location in the room.

View was amazing, the rooms were sparse but that helped focus the attention on the beauty of the location. We upgraded our room to a junior suite 104 and loved the fully retractable glass doors in front of the living area and jacuzzi. The tub was a great add on but not perfect. The breakfast was delivered to our room for no charge and was just spectacular in front of our great view.

The jacuzzi in our room did not have jets, but 4 bubblers that got water everywhere on the floor and side of the tub, additionally it did take quite a long time to fill the tub. Additionally while there was a smart TV in the room, there was only a direct TV remote, and it was unfortunately out of service during our stay.

I would like to thank the owners of this hotel for sharing this special place with the rest of us. This is truly a special spot on this planet and one of Colombia's true gems. The views of the Cocora Valley from this hotel are breathtaking. Truly! The location is amazing. The hotel room was above and beyond my expectations. The view from the king bed, just wow! The hotel staff were wonderful. The kitchen staff were so very kind and served me the best pancakes I have ever had in Colombia! Thank you so much to everyone at this hotel. Great experience.

That I had to leave!

Location was perfect. Property looks amazing as you arrive in the car. The lobby opens up to a great view of the mountains. The rooms are incredible with the view, hot tub, mini bar, TV, big bathrooms etc. we stayed in the Mountain View Suite. Amazing room! All of the staff we came across were incredibly helpful and polite. Rooms were very clean and well put together. Location is great, best of both worlds having unobstructed valley views and then being a 3 minute walk to the main colourful street and also some great restaurants for food. Greta choice at breakfast from pancakes to empanadas to a sandwich along with drinks and fresh fruit.

These points are not so much negatives, however they are points of possible improvement. The beds are quite hard, similar to those you would come across in Japan, however and extra blanket under the sheets this the job, it wouldn’t stop me returning. Perhaps some of the information material within the room could do with replacement as looking a little old and worn but that’s no big deal. Lastly, the hotel could really benefit from having a bar on site, even in the room with the fireplace overlooking the valley. I would much rather have a few beers with that view than strolling down to the town. Overall a great location and I would return if in the area.

The room was even better than expected when first booked based on the photos. The view was spectacular and we could see the entire Cocoa valley with a great opportunity for once in a lifetime sunrises. The patio was perfect to relax and take in the view along with the hot tub which we enjoyed one night. The staff was also excellent and very responsive and caring. This was also right at the edge of town and made it super easy to walk into town whenever we wanted.

The bed was rock-hard and very uncomfortable. The towels also seemed thin.

The location is very beautiful!Rooms are very clean and comfortable.The staff is really helpful and warm and yes,they speak also english,which is very uncommon for Colombia

1)Sometimes I had to wait 30 minutes for my breakfast to be prepared as there is no buffet. 2)I lost my key card and they charged me 15.000 cops for a new one.Ok it was my mistake but for a plastic card I think it was too much.

The view is insane ! The staff is friendy and nice. We had an economy room, so it is small, and is loud, as the window goes into the reception. But it was ok.

The humidity in Salento is high, and there is no additional ventilation in the bathroom, so everything is constantly wet. The breakfast is served (starts at 7:30 am), so you have to wait for the waiters to take your order (not all the options are announced). If you are in a hurry it is difficult, we were waiting for 30min to be served with 2 eggs and a piece of bread. It depended on the day and the person who was working. But the staff itself was nice.

The hotel is located at the top of Salento village, so you have stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty of restaurants at 5-8 min walk away. The location is great, 5 min walk from the center. We had a standard double room with an inner courtyard view, located on the ground floor, so we had the blinds drawn all the time so that people outside couldn't see our room, but the hotel's back terrace with the mountain view is a big highlight for this hotel and we enjoyed relaxing there whenever possible. Staff were very nice, they helped us with the transfer to/from Pereira airport.

This is a really beautiful hotel. Our room had big glass sliding doors on the first floor which opened up the whole front of the room. This helped to cool down the room as there is no aircon or fan. The view from our room over the Cocora Valley was absolutely priceless. The bed was very comfortable and there was also a hammock in the room. The breakfast consisted of fruit juice, toast and eggs made to order, and coffee. Although there was no variety, it was very tasty. There is no lift, but the staff helped to take our luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are 3 or 4 restaurants a short walk away, on the way to the Mirador de Cocora Valley. About a 1 - 2 minute walk away.

The staff are very noisy. They cleaned the rooms between 3 and 4 pm and were talking very loudly to each other while doing so. The rooms are close together and because the sliding doors open all the way above the patio, the noise and loud talking of the staff were unpleasant, especially as we wanted to take a nap after our hike to the wax palm forest.
