The Hotel room is very specious. It is clean, beds are comfortable. It is a walking distance from the marine dock (5 min walk). Breakfast is very good. You can choose from several options from the menú. It is included in the price of the hotel. Staff is very friendly. Front desk staff speaks English. We were going to Tayrona National Park, where were stayed overnight. We were able to leave our suitcases in the hotel free of charge. It is a very good value for the money.

We did not have time to use the pool, but if you want to use it, it is a roof top pool but it is very tiny.

This is a mid-range hotel—not the most luxurious, but it offers good value for the price. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the manager deserves special mention for his honesty and professionalism. We experienced an issue with our room on the first night (the air conditioning wasn’t working), but the manager promptly addressed it. He moved us to another room and even compensated us with a bar credit as a gesture of goodwill. This level of service really stood out and left a positive impression. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re into kitesurfing, as it’s perfectly situated near ideal spots for the sport. The waitstaff are also very kind and attentive, ensuring that guests feel welcome and well taken care of. A unique feature we appreciated was the water dispenser available on the premises. In Kenya, even in more upscale resorts, this is not always a standard amenity, so it’s a big plus, especially from an eco-friendly perspective. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. While it’s not a high-end resort, the combination of excellent service, great location, and thoughtful touches like the water dispenser made it a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay, particularly for kitesurfers or eco-conscious travelers.

Rooms need more detailing cleaning (especially bathrooms, floors, etc). More food variety would be appreciated but for a short stay it's ok.

Location is key! you will find most of the lively places nearby. Even though the street at first approach might seem quite sketchy, the area feels totally safe with plenty of restaurants/bars, places to visit, such as the marina, and Los Novios Park. In spite of being in that busy area, the room was totally quiet, perfect to rest. Swimming pool is a bit small but perfect for relaxing with nice drinks served at the place. Breakfast was good enough, it included one dish with fruit beverages, but if you want more or additional things, you will be charged.

The location is perfect, a few meters from Plaza de Los Novios and few blocks from the port and beach. The hotel is quite recent; our room was big with bed, furniture and decorations almost new, spotless clean. We loved the breakfast, it was delicious and they offer some typical food options in their menu that we wanted to try on our trip. The staff is lovely and helpful; willing to give you any tip about restaurants, tours or places to visit.

Stayed there with my partner, staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room size was huge! Really comfortable. Breakfast was good and it was nice and quiet, had a romantic feel to it. Location is also amazing right in the historical centre just a short walk to the hot spots. Would 100% recommend and stay again!

Swimming pool was small other than that nothing negative to say.

This is a modern little hotel right in the historic center of Santa Marta. The staff were all very friendly, from the front desk attendants to the housekeeper to the restaurant waitress upstairs. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathroom was enormous.

We were given a somewhat dark room on the first floor with no option to move to a higher floor - the way the building is designed there was not much natural light coming in. Also, this was an accessible room, so there was no glass wall for the shower, so the water got all over the floor. Finally, there was a stain on the duvet (inside the cover) from a prior guest - I did not notice this until the last night of our stay.

Our room was big, comfortable beds, great A/C, the hotel in general was very clean. Great security. There was always someone at the front desk, as the door was always locked. They also have an elevator which always helps. The root top pool was small but perfect. We enjoyed many margaritas at the bar in the shade. Thank you Carolina! The hotel is in a perfect location. Close to the Marina, shops, restaurants and bars. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for all of your help Eddie, and all the wonderful friendly staff!

Alko Cotona is a modern, clean and very comfortable hotel. Bedroom was super clean, bed super comfy, tv where u could Log into Netflix, Prime Video, HBO max, u name it, it also has international channels. bathroom super neat, shower was amazing hot and cold water. I had read that due to its location it could be noisy at night, maybe our room was located perfect because we didn’t hear a sound at night. Breakfast is included and it was tasty .. you can choose between eggs, pancakes or fruit salad. every breakfast comes with fruit, orange juice, coffee and sweet bread. One of my favorite things was the staff. very attentive (not so common in the coast of Colombia), friendly, kind, fast.. the pool area is small but it’s perfect. you get sofa, sunbeda, regular chairs and tables.. it has a jacuzzi. they did a very good job taking the best of the space! I would stay there again!! totally recommend and I can be picky :) it’s 2 blocks away from Parque de los novios (a lot of restaurants and bars). it’s located close to a lot of things, but it’s not close to the best beach area, it’s important when you choose a hotel in Santa Marta. we were close to Palomino right on the beach on the days before so we weren’t looking for more beach

we had lunch on our first day at the hotels restaurants and it was DELICIOUS!! just a bit pricey for the quantity (but it was delicious). We ended up having a snack later on because we didn’t felt full afterwards

This is a fantastic hotel that is close to Centro. Our room was great: comfy bed, cold a/c, hot water, and quiet. We were in a junior suite located towards the back of the building - away from the main street. I really liked the layout of the room, but I didn't take any pictures - the ones on this site seem to be accurate. The staff were nice. The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was some of the best we had tasted.

The pool area is nice, but the bar was only open from 5pm-7pm when we stayed, so we couldn't have a drink while chilling before that time. The restaurant only serves breakfast, and it was not open for lunch or dinner for our stay. The WiFi was intermittent in our room, so it was difficult for my partner to complete a Zoom work call.

Love the front desk staff. They are always extraordinary! The location and how super spacious the rooms are is fantastic! Dinner restaurant, while not a busy place had delicious options and we were all happy to eat there a couple of times.

We stay here (and some other hotels in the city) with some frequency as we live in the area. The breakfast is pretty mediocre and the coffee-well let’s just say I bring my own now. Plus, no conditioner in the shower? Women/long hairs know this is a necessity, not a luxury.
