This was one of the coolest place we stayed at during our trip in Costa Rica. This was as they say, living in the jungle! It was very relaxing waking up early due to the howler monkeys. We saw many animals even a moving sloth on the way to the beach. This place is a hidden gem. The beach Playa Chiquita is also very nice and if you go a bit further to Playa Uva you find another great location. Great restaurants nearby and the hotel is also offering bar- food service.

We had such a good experience. It seems like you are in the middle of the jungle with a lot of privacy. Everything looked fabulous. My daughter love the swimming pool. Amazing staff. Especially I would love to say thank you to Jeremy. He was so nice to us and showed so many animals that we would not have seen without him. We have seen two sloths living there, two types of snakes, multiple frogs, and monkeys, jumping on the top of the trees while we were swimming in the pool. Thank you so much for such amazing time.

Fantastic to be in the middle of the trees. The staff were so friendly & we loved hearing & seeing the frogs & other wildlife, including a sloth in a tree above the pool one morning.

No aircon if you are used to that, but we knew this beforehand & the fans in the rooms did a pretty good job. We could also open the flaps to only have mesh to outside to let air through.

What an amazing place! We enjoyed every minute of our three-day stay and will recommend everyone to visit. The bungalow was clean and cleaned daily. We appreciated the open space, no closing windows, the jungle sound. The staff was very friendly, ready to help us find animals that live around - a red eyed frog and a sloth included, and ready to explain everything that we asked about. Breakfast was tasty, so was our salad for dinner + an exceptional passion fruit pudding!

Very thin structure gets noisy if you have neighbours- second bed did not have mosquito net ( during the night a geco felt right in the face of my husband) - had laundry service, for the cost (20$) I woukd have expected clothes if not ironed at least neatly folded

All the staff at the property were super friendly and helpful. The location was off the main road and about a 5 minute drive to the downtown area so all you could hear was the jungle. The whole grounds of this lodge were beautifully kept and the pool area was nice also. The room was large and clean with bug netting for the bed, although it wasn’t really necessary when we were there.

This was actually something that we loved but potentially not everyone would, the howler monkeys were very vocal around dusk. It was super cool and definitely woke us up!

would be nice to have a little fridge in the rooms - for the price and due to the heat it should be included I think.

We adored this beautifully-designed property, set in the jungle with easy access to the main road. After spending our first night in a lovely room, we were able to upgrade to the fantastic upstairs apartment for the following six days where we spent a great deal of time lounging on the expansive deck and watching for monkeys and listening to howler monkeys. The Spanish family owners and staff could not have been more kind and helpful. And the breakfasts and meals there were creative and delicious.

Breakfast was amazing as well the staff (the owners and their team were incredibly friendly and helpful, best service ever) and property / room was also pretty nice in the middle of the jungle.

Bathroom had a funky smell, there is too much humidity so it makes everything smell strange. Due to the location is impossible to get your clothes and towels completely dry.

It was close to the beach but like you were in the middle of the jungle! Lots of wildlife to see and hear in the gardens. Sonya and her husband were lovely hosts and breakfast in the mornings was great, I even bought some coffee to bring back home!

As the lodges are open vented you can hear your neighbours easily.
