This was our second time staying at Lomas del Caribe, and we’ll definitely be coming back! The combination of a private pool surrounded by lush jungle while being just minutes away from some of the most breathtaking beaches on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast is unbeatable. We traveled with my 94-year-old grandpa, and he loved the convenience of having a pool right outside without needing to walk far. The villa’s kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the pool is cleaned daily, ensuring a pristine and refreshing experience. The peaceful atmosphere, the sound of monkeys in the trees, and the sight of parrots flying by made the stay even more magical. Lomas del Caribe truly offers the perfect balance of comfort and nature!

It's important to note that Lomas del Caribe is not on the main road, so getting around without a car can be tricky. Also, check-in takes place at another property first, so plan accordingly. We highly recommend renting a 4x4—it’s not a must, as the roads are generally in good condition, but if it rains, it’s definitely the safer option.

The Villa was very clean and well equipped, the pool was also great and definitely a highlight of the stay. Overall it was a great stay. We forgot an item as well, and the staff informed us and even helped us ship it.

An opportunity found was the price of the breakfast which can be acquired in terrazas del Caribe, since on the document that can be found on the Villa it indicates that it has a cost of $12, yet when we called to let them know that we were going to have breakfast the receptionist indicated that it had a price of 12.500 colones, which is roughly double what the document indicated, therefore we searched for other options instead

Love the privacy, staff was efficient and helpful, great unit for a family. Surrounded by wildlife all hours of the day.

Paid $3500 for a two week stay and made me pay $10 for more drinking water. This is after I’m told at check in that I can have more because of the length of the stay. Of course when you call reception you talk to a different employee who made no such arrangement and charges you for it. Minor annoyance but only because you pay so much for the stay.

We loved being surrounded by nature and spotting animals right from the property, all while feeling completely safe thanks to 24-hour security. The swimming pool was a highlight – pristine and perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was a dream, fully equipped with high-quality appliances and everything needed for a great stay. Highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway!

Nothing that we didn’t like!

The villas are very well equipped to cook anything you like! You can tell the person in charge cares about maintenance and does a good job at it. The pool was cleaned everyday, I asked for more sheets and towels and they were provided right away. Communication was excellent and easy via Whatsapp. Highly recommended for a group of four or family with kids. Very private, you can hear the monkeys howling and all kinds of birds chirping. Close to all main beaches (Cocles, Puerto Viejo and my fave, Punta Uva).

Maybe the bathroom layout but nothing really to complain about. Do know that the road is very dusty. I think the best bet is to go in a 4x4 car.

Private pool was cool. Very private. Has bedroom A/C (that was vibrating noisy). Patio was very nice in the mornings.

Tap water smelled a bit like sewage. Floors sound like an old sailing ship. Supplied drinking water doesn't taste/smell drinkable. No hairdryer. Dirty floors. You could count the bedsprings. Very narrow/ blind roads for access. For the cost you don't expect to see through the roof. Pretty cool for a low budget, but it was NOT cheap.

Very private location far from the main hotel (about 3 kms). Splendid units with private swimming pools. We rented 2 villas for 6 people. Plenty of room. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Overall excellent comfort.

Far from the main hotel. No service on site. Closest market about 2 kms away. About the same for the closest restaurants. Must have a car or love to hike like us. Walking back at night time is a bit of an adventure. No light and screaming monkeys over your heads.

As a remote part of the hotel someway distant as a self contained villa,the kitchen lacked many basic amenities and aids to cooking. Eg kitchen paper roll, decent knife, basics like salt & pepper etc. At the high price of the Villa you should be able to expect something more.

Great villa!. Has all the neeed ameneties (fridge, microwave, small oven, etc.). Very private. Comfortable rooms, very cozy. Very spacious. Located very closely to the beach and a lot fo great restausrants. Will definitely return.

Seems the maintance is not up to date. The shower was leaking, one of the AC units was frozen and the lock on one the bathrooms broke. Had to climb out of the window to get out of the bathroom.

The villa is amazing, very private and was fully equipped with everything we needed. They even provided bottled drinking water

The location is up a steep gravel road. The road was in bad condition when we stayed and although a 4x4 is not strictly required, our low car ended up with a flat tire and many bumps from loose rocks and gravel.
