-the breakfast was various; -room was big, also the bathroom; -love the amenities they provide for bath; -cleaning everyday; -have a forest “attached” with some trails and animals (parrots, monkeys etc); -they provide free shuttle to Manuel Antonio park, 3 times daily;

-the bigest issue is the location: right near main national road so you hear all cars and big trucks everywhere anytime… so was very very dificult to sleep/rest; -the AC is directed right above bed-it is not possible use it when sleeping; -at the breakfast you can’t take directly from buffet, need await for a guy to pick everything for you-is a bit awkward to insist for more omletes or fruits; -pricing at the restaurant/bar are very high-around 25-30 usd each menu course so expect to pay 60-70 usd/person for a dinner there;

Nice place. Felt very safe. Good pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was very quiet when we were there -not many other guests, so can't comment on noise in rooms etc. We didn't see much wildlife but stayed only one stormy night so this might explain it. Nice gardens and a trail but again we didn't get to do the trail due to thunderstorm. Restaurant was not open in the evenings when we were there due to renovations but 2 sodas and a restaurant within walking distance. Little else near by if you are staying a while without a car but it suited our one night stop off on route further south.

A little remote if no car.

Really nice place to spend several days. The pool area and restaurant areas are great and the gardens are lovely. All the staff except 1 were really helpful and friendly and helped me learn more Spanish words. There is a free shuttle to Manuel Antonio a few times a day. There are birds, butterflies, iguanas etc all over the gardens and squirrel monkeys jn the trees. They have their own jingle trail from the hotel too. It was quiet while we were there and really relaxing, but if it is full it might be less relaxing. There are different types of room, our Suite room had a terrace which gave us great garden views. There is a good soda and another local restaurant 5 mins walk down the road. It is on the road so easy to catch local buses.

The road can sometimes be noisy but it didn't bother us, mostly we didn't really notice it.

We came here for a few extra days of relaxation and to get to MA NP after a guided nursing trip. So many animals birds flowers! Scarlet macaws in the native Guanacaste tree. Squirrel monkeys and toucans at breakfast! Birders and nature lovers will be happy. Yes there is road noise but unless you are super sensitive you can tune it out! Lots of trails with more animals, iguanas, butterflies. Nice hot breakfast and coffee included. Beautiful pool. We would definitely come back! Nice restaurant a little expensive but we took an Uber into Quepos for dinner one night and that was fun. Close to Manuel Antonio 15-30 mins and we were able to use Uber several times without issue - even found a private driver who took us to the airport and stopped for lunch and souvenirs at a wonderful place, El Jardin - about 2.5 to 3 hours to the airport!

Road noise as many have said but easy to tune out!

We loved our stay at La Foresta; the rooms were lovely and comfy, with good AC and wonderful showers/toiletries. The grounds are gorgeous and we saw iguanas, monkeys, and all kinds of butterflies. The Titi canpopy tour that goes right from the hotel was brilliant, and the pool area was lovely and clean - we never struggled to get a sun bed. The staff were wonderful, especially Ivan at the front desk who couldn't do enough for us - even decorating the room for our daughters birthday! All in all, lovely place in a very convenient location

I really liked the spacious rooms, working AC, the nature trails with garden, location, and most importantly the friendly staff. Overall, it was a pleasant stay away from the busy Manuel Antonio area. La Forresta’s location also offers a convenient access to all major roads and Quepos airport, and only a short drive to the beach areas. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The rooms were a bit dated, but very clean. However, some of the top luxury hotels in the area have somewhat dated rooms. This did not affect our stay one bit, after all, we didn’t come here to spend time in our room.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was beautiful and filled with wildlife. It felt like we were staying in the jungle. There were also trails at the back of the property you could walk to explore more which we loved. We did the zip line tour that is right at the property and had so much fun. The pool was so refreshing and clean, very relaxing atmosphere. Can’t beat the price either !

The food was overpriced in our opinion for what you get, but still tasted good. There is a super affordable soda and a ceviche place just a couple minutes down the road that we ate at often instead

it was fine, food was good, loved the pool, and the room.

I called ahead and explained how many beds, and how many people. they suggested I book online, which I did. the site said that if there were more people we would pay at the hotel. there was no option online for beds and kids.I booked 2 rooms as there were 7 people,, and when we arrived the reception had thought it was 4 people and put them in one room. took a while and pushing to get the 2 rooms that I booked. Not happy with that after a long drive, to battle with reception.

Great grounds with jungle walk, nice pool area and good bar and restaurant areas. You can hear the road but it didn't bother us too much. Good room and shower (nice toiletries too). Staff were all very friendly. Free shuttle to Manuel Antonio. We're booked to go back.

No extractor in the bathroom only a ceiling fan which was draughty in the shower! We had a seating area but the seats were hard wood. upright and not comfy.

Very nice relaxed atmosphere. The forest trails were good fun . Restaurant staff stood out , they were all really nice friendly people and the food was great . If you have a car it is a nice easy drive down to quepos or mannuel Antonio.

Not much . A coffee machine or kettle in the room would be really handy as the restaurant does not open until 6.30am .
