This was the 5th hotel that we’d stayed in on our honeymoon Costa Rica travels. I can honestly say the stay from start to finish was the best I’d ever experienced. We were greeted with much help and a refreshment at reception. Our concierge, Catalina was extremely helpful and helped us with any questions/needs. The rooms, studios and grounds are perfect… the hotel has its own reserve with trails so wildlife is on your doorstep… beautiful to wake up to. All the staff are soo friendly and go above and beyond to help you with any of your needs… Johnny makes the best cocktails… Abraham is welcoming and helpful with luggage/golf buggy drop offs and pick ups. He is also informative for local amenities for travels. Although the hotel has everything you need and the food is out of this world… breakfast, lunch and dinner. Totally recommend the fine dining menu with wine to compliment each dish. We can’t thank Gaia Hotel and Reserve enough for our stay and we will look to come back and stay here again in a couple of years time. Thank you again, love Colleen and James XX PURA VIDA ❤️🇨🇷🙏🏼

The staff are incredible, they couldn't be more helpful! Jose our personal concierge and Ada the receptionist were amazing and were so kind and sorted trips and storing our luggage when we went to Drake bay for two nights which isn't as safe. The golf buggy drivers are wonderful too and learn your room to take you there! The pool bar guys are also really lovely. The room is huge and lovely too! The nature hike is fun with Clarence and well worth booking him for Manuel Antonio national park as he spots animals that we would never have seen.

The bed sank in the middle meaning we kept rolling into each other. The pool is gorgeous with a great view but is small with only a few sunbeds. I can imagine there aren't enough for when the hotel is busy.

The hotel and staff were magnificent. We had made a mistake withour booking and the administrator/manager rectified it with no cost to us. Our Concierge, Jose Gamboa, was astoundingly responsive and helpful. We had a tour with Clarence who was the friendliest and most informative tour guide we've ever had. All in all it was a wonderful trip and stay. We especially liked the fact that the hotel is helping to bring Macaw's back from endangered status.

I honestly cannot think of anything to make it better. Maybe stairs along the driveway leading down to the parking lot but that is more of a "would be nice" item than something that is needed. The golf carts and staffs were always available to meet our needs going in and out.

The first thing that stood out was just how nice the staff were. The bar staff were incredible and happy to chat whenever. The staff that are at the entrance and drive the golf cart ensured that they found a sloth, monkey or scarlet macaw whenever possible and showed us every day which we loved. The food was great and the pools beautiful. It’s also a perfect location for other restaurants and bars and easy access to Manuel Antonio and the local beach! The sunsets make it worthwhile on its own

All the hotel staff, beginning with Catalina our concierge, were unfailing polite, helpful and professional. They anticipated and met all our needs. The breakfasts (included) were delicious. We ate a number of dinners at the hotel, and they were all great. Waitstaff could not have been more accommodating. Our room was spacious and well appointed.

The gym could use some updating, some of the equipment was not working properly.

Wonderful and charming Hotel, staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, no request too much trouble. Great breakfast and restaurant looking over fantastic views. (Sunsets were incredible). Concierge on WhatsApp and will book trips for you (which were great). Amazing wildlife everywhere and courtesy shuttle bus to the beach a real bonus. Rooms spacious, comfortable and immaculate.

Nothing to not like.

In this place you’ll feel at home right away. Well, a more exotic home, that is. Everybody has a personal concierge that is ready to help at anytime (we had Alex, he was great). The pools are genuis and the view from there is perfect. You can see some iguanas or monkeys right as you are taking a dip and sipping on a margarita. Last but not least, visiting the Macaw reserve on the proptety it’s a must. To be honest, I found the hike and the reserve itself more authentic, not to mention more private, than famous Manuel Antonio National Park. The sunsets from the viewpoint are unique. All in all, an amazing experience and hope to come back soon.

The breakfast and sushi was great The staff are attentive Beautiful grounds and the free macaw hike was a bonus

Whilst there was a shuttle until 4 pm it would have been good to have act so could explore more food options . Whilst the other restaurants are not far away there are no paths so cannot walk safely at night

Remarkable hillside pool perfect for watching the sunset. The property features a nature preserve and we saw many animals including a sloth and her baby climbing near the pool and a few iguanas and anteaters. The service and staff was exceptional and the food in the restaurant was the best we had in our whole trip.

The villa was clean, comfortable and well appointed but slightly dated.

The staff were amazing. Jose was a great concierge and was super accommodating with everything. The restaurant was great, and it was amazing being in a nature reserve. Seeing animals fly around, lounge in trees and by the pool was very cool. Their shuttle to Playa Espadilla and Manuel Antonio Park was always timely and super convenient.

It’s advertised as adult only, but that’s not true. There were kids in the restaurant and they define adult as 13+. It was fine but definitely not what I expected.
