Location is perfect, just few steps from the entrance to the National Park. Or you can go through a private passage to the public beach with restaurants.

During the rain we got water flowing from the ceiling, so they have asked us to move to another room, lower class, without any apologies or compensation. It was rude.

I love the location. It was right next to the national forest. The beach was a short walk. There was lots of shopping and food all around the area to walk to the pool was beautiful and there was wildlife everywhere. The hospitality was fabulous!! During our 3 night stay: three different types of monkeys , iguana raccoons all outside our balcony. On our daily walk to breakfast, we could see different lizards, iguanas, a family of bats, a super cute green frog, and actually some Herbert crabs walking around here.

I have absolutely no complaints about the property

The location was truly amazing. You are basically inside Manuel Antonio Park. The staff were the nicest most helpful people. they were on top of our every need. It was quite wonderful to have that kind of consistent and upbeat customer service with every experience and interaction with the staff. The rooms were very nice. The pool was beautiful. The food tasted truly amazing. And it was a nice quick short walk to the beach. Very close to shops and restaurants.

There were two things that really stood out. 1. The first thing doesn't have much to do with the hotel itself but it's still a factor; Getting to the hotel was difficult because of the proximity to the park. If you're driving you have to drive through an absolute mess of people, very narrow roads and traffic. It is quite hair-raising. It was further frustrating to have to repeat this every single time coming and going from the hotel. 2. The hot water seems to be very limited. I think it's because of solar. Seem like on sunny days we had more than enough. But on rainy days or at night there was very little hot water. Also, there was a lot of noise during the day from construction. This really shouldn't affect most people though and is probably temporary.

It’s in a fantastic location, right next to the park entrance. There is a bus that leaves from the beach that heads to Manuel Antonio and Quepos, as there isn’t a great deal around in the evening after the park has closed. The rooms were bright, spaces and airy and almost back on to the jungle itself - we saw deer, monkeys, raccoons and countless birds from our balcony. The breakfast options were decent too, though would’ve been handy to open a little earlier at 6:30am to be able to get to the park for opening at 7am. Plenty of parking available too, with security on the front gate.

It was expensive for 3 nights - but so is everything in Costa Rica!

Breakfast was great including the staff, pool was nice but the jacuzzi is not warm which was a little deceiving in the pictures....room was nice with a fridge and coffee maker...I didn't like the bar of soap so bought my own body wash....small mini mart close to hotel...saw lots of monkeys, birds and iguanas.

The gym was terrible....treadmills did not work and they were missing half of the freeweights....spa and onsite restaurant were overpriced as well

Nice layout with excellent views from top restaurant. Nice large pool with several smaller shallow options around the sides. Breakfast was good with many options, great fruit too. Room and bathroom clean and spacious and staff were friendly and helpful.

Wifi did not work in the room on any device. Only could get it to work if standing right by the door. Told staff but nothing changed.

The rooms were spacious with plenty of room for your belongings. They offered a nice welcome drink, chocolates and a cold towel. But the best part was the location - at the entrance of the park and a short walk to the beach The guided tour of the park they arranged was phenomenal.

Housekeeping varied from day to day. Some days excellent - some days they did not replace coffee, wash clothes or leave enough toilet paper.

if you came by car then it’s really cool, you have a free parking place by the Manuel Antonio park and an east access to the park, which is really good! they change your 4000-5000 colones for parking before entering the park which is very expensive. I would usual price for parking is 2000 colones. breakfast is good but not too many options. for example no vegetables and only few fruits. though a vegetarian would be able to find smth. this is probably one of the few hotels we stayed in that didn’t have some sort of bugs, ants or other creatures in the room. cleaning stuff did a good job cleaning the rooms. hotel has free beach/pool towels. really cool because your own towel would just not dry overnight. because hotel is so close to the National park you get to see iguanas, monkeys and birds just from your balcony. however, hotel offers a guided tour to the park, which costs ~50$ (only cash), which I would recommend too.

the rooms on the ground floor are loud! on the other hand we stayed also on the 4th floor and it was much better. nothing would dry in the hotel and it’s not the problems of this hotel but in general any hotel very close to the ocean. beach is close but not as close as you wish it to be. also the road to the beach is a bit strange. I would say public beach is okay but the beach in the park is so much better, you just need to pay an abtrabte fee.

It’s location to the park and the beach

the hotel advertised a gymnasium (this is essential) but on arrival it was under maintenance and not useable, the gymnasium being out of order was not advertised on the booking website . other than that this hotel is a great option, its old but has appeal, the scenery is fantastic, the jungle, the birds, all magnificent and viewable from the 6th floor or ground. Rooms are excellent, breakfast has no labels on food so you don’t know what a lot of things are.

The staff was excellent 👌. Ready to help in everything. Respectful, friendly, it felt like family. Something that was bad timing was the broken elevator. The staff had it extra hard. They had to go up and down the stairs with heavy luggages. Never once did they look upset..alway with a smile, and they were doing all of that in super humid weather. Thank you so much, San Bada staff!!!❤️

I would have liked the buffet food to be covered so that bees and flys can not go on it.
