We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Manuel Antonio! The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach and just a short walk to the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. It made it so easy to explore the area without needing to rush or plan too much. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, and Uber is available if you need to get around further. We also appreciated that private shuttles to San José can be arranged in advance — very convenient for planning your travel. The stay was comfortable, the staff were helpful, and the location truly couldn’t be better. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Manuel Antonio!

First of all the location was CONVENIENT - very near and walking distance to the MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK, and near the beach of PLAYA ESPADILLA and just right infront of the bus stop if you ride TRACOPA public bus transportation . Very easy to get back to San Jose =) They served really nice and affordable breakfast , Coffee was great! I had Gallo pinto, traditional, local Costa Rican breakfast. Yummy. Lots of plants around the faciltiy and birds flying around. The room was huge! Has a safety lock as well so if you want to go swimming and not worry your money/passport. They let me store my luggage because I had a tour at the national park. Friendly staff!

Outstanding location and friendly helpful staff. The hotel is located truly directly across from the beach and a short walk from the Manuel Antonio National Park. Hard to imagine a better combination of location. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were very helpful.

Cheap feeling motel. You're not staying here for any comfort or semblance of luxury. Bare minimum accommodations.

Hotel is located very close to the Manuel Antonio national park entrance (very convinient as your car can be parked for free at the hotel secured parking and then you can just walk to the park entrance). At the same time, great and long beach is just across the road - amazing for morning walks! It takes a few minutes of walk to several good restaraunts nearby, if you do not want to eat in the hotel cafe itself. My room had a nice view of the palms facing the beach.

My room was on the ground floor, so there was not much of the ocean view.

The property has a fabulous location, we were out in the waves at 6am. The National Park entrance is at the back of the hotel, through a lane, so really convenient. The room and hotel were super clean and tidy. Staff are really kind and helpful in every way.

The rooms are quite basic, no mini fridge or tea/coffee facilities and some things really need fixing (Our curtains for example had tears. It doesn't stop us using them but overall could have been repaired or replaced). We didn't mind really as the beach for us was the draw here and all was clean.

The location was GREAT! You can walk across the street to go to the beach, and Manuel Antonio Park is just a short walk around the corner. Some people complain that the rooms need updating, but I thought they were quite nice. And the beds had ample pillows -- a plus! Overall, a great value.

Unlike many hotels in the area, it doesn't include free breakfast -- you'll need to discount that from the value.

- please arrange a breakfast deal with the neighbouring restaurant: now it's not included, very extensive and not really special in any way. A breakfast package deal would be a gamechanger! -Room windows did not close due to bad installation (could be solved within an hour with the right technical service). Airco did it's job regardless

Perfect location. Right across the street from a beautiful good-sized beach, perfect for surf walking. I walked the beach 7 times, left my sandals in the room and did not have to carry them. Guided tours will pick you up at the hotel. Does not include breakfast, but nice little cafe next door has breakfast staples and there are plenty of options within walking and short driving distances. Note: 2 story building, if you need the 1st floor be sure to ask for it.

No coffee maker in room or coffee in the lobby. The beach area parking attendants are aggressive. They will step in front of your car. The hotel has its own parking.

The rooms were clean. The location is amazing, right next to an amazing beach which is perfect for swimming. The entrance of the park is only 5 minutes away (walking). You are surrounded by lots of wildlife. We saw monkeys and a crocodile near the hotel in a river bed.

It is quite expensive for what you get. The hotel is old-style and when we arrived the remote control of our AC was missing. We got it the next day.
