Perfect location, beautiful resort, amazing breakfast. We spent 3 nights as a family of 5 with 3 young children (4, 8 and 12). We loved the location, the beach is beautiful, we walked down every morning and came back up with the transport. We loved the free jungle walk with a wonderful guide, we were super lucky and saw all the animals and the free cooking class taught us how to make empanadas. The flat is spacious and has everything a family might need. The pool is wonderful with beautiful sunsets

The lift that arrives directly in the flat is unusual.

I loved the privacy of staying in the townhouse section. Our view was unbelievable, and the room was very interesting in its design. Modern lines and floating stairs. Floor to ceiling sliding doors that would allow you to wake up and go to sleep in awe. The shower and water pressure were amazing! The butlers that we had were the best👌 so helpful and really took interest in our happiness.

There's a lot of uphill walking

The pool area was updated and stunning. The views and wildlife on the property was unmatched. We saw toucans, sloths, macaws, monkeys, lizards snakes and so much more.The property offers a free hiking animal tour guide who was incredible. He brought a telescope of sorts to see all the animals up close. The food was also very good here. The drive down to the private beach is pretty cool. Although not really swimmer friendly it is stunning!

The rooms are not really updated and they are dark. Coffee machine was a bit dirty, some stains found on bedding but they smelled clean. They seem to be updating a lot so I assume the rooms will be next. When they do it will be a special place.

Gorgeous location. The condo was huge, with a beautiful view of the ocean and the jungle. The food was delicious. Staff was wonderful and went above and beyond pointing out the sloths and iguanas (the monkeys and red macaws speak for themselves;). You can walk to a number of restaurants easily. There are trails on the property and you can walk to the beach (down a hill). And if you are up for a longer downhill hike you can walk all the way to the nature park and more beaches (I recommend the bus back up).

Apartments are very large and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Loved the balconies. Great pool Fabulous views. Staff could not be more pleasant and helpful throughout the resort. We arrived very late and a staff member drove us around local restaurants to see if any were open. Breakfast was lovely. Great to see the wildlife all around. Will definitely come back

Not really a dislike but the resort us on a hillside and steep climb to the shops and restaurants. Beach long steep walk but hotel provides a shuttle. Could be an issue for someone with mobility problems if you don't have a car

I traveled with my 2 daughters to the Manuel Antonio area for a week long vacation. We booked at Los Altos after a bad experience with another hotel/spa in Uvita, where we planned to finish our vacation. After an awful 1st night at that terrible place, I booked Los Altos for our last night in Costa Rica. We had come for lunch here earlier in the week at the Karolas restaurant and was impressed with the grounds and security. We left Uvita and traveled back to Manuel Antonio for a far superior experience at Los Altos. The staff, Teilin, Alissa and Kenneth, were all so welcoming and amazing! Our suite was gorgeous and HUGE....2500SF+. I booked and ocean view room on the 5th floor and the views are spectacular. The girls and I enjoyed sitting out on the deck all night after enjoying the pool and hot tub. We had complimentary welcome drinks at the pool as well. The breakfast was amazing! The best we have had at any of the hotels we stayed at this trip....4 so far. We are sad that we didn't book this hotel for the last 2 days instead of the one we stayed at in Uvita. The service is top notch, the grounds are beautiful and the apartment suite is gorgeous. Upon entering there is a wonderful scent to get the senses going. I can't put my finger on the smell of the room, but it reminds me of a spa. It's wonderful! Our last morning at the pool, there were tons of monkeys, some with babies. They came so close and were all over the lower pool area where the trees are. It was so incredible and just was the best highlight of our trip! Highly recommend this hotel!

One complaint and it has really nothing to do with the hotel, was that we had quite a fright our last night when a ginormous palmetto bug was hanging out on our bedside nightstand in the master room. 😳 I'm deathly afraid of roaches and it gave me a heart attack. There was only the one and it was properly disposed of in the toilet.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location and views were phenomenal. Our room was spacious and beautiful.

Didn’t really quite understand why we had to buy a second bedroom when the suite had a total of three bedrooms

big family apartments for 6 persons

Booking suggested us to book two apartments for a 6 member family and that was exactly double of our needs. No one wanted to take full responsibility for this mistake neither the hotel nor Booking. in the end the hotel gave me a credit on extras for 50% of one of the rooms. Better than nothing but I believe that only full refund of one of the rooms would have been a fair solution for a problem that I didn’t have any responsibility.
