This gem is tucked away from the wild hills of Manuel Antonio National Park but close to the town of Quepos. The location is spectacular. Our room (Toucan Suite, I believe) granted us both ocean and jungle views. On our very first day we were visited by white-face monkeys, and every other day by another species of monkey. A variety of birds and lizards visited daily on our balcony. Our morning "alarm clock" were two beautiful red Macaws whose home is a palm tree on the property. Ther are options for breakfast which is included. We always chose the Traditional Tico breakfast which is fruit, eggs, toast, and rice & beans with cilantro, plus either coffee or orange juice. The pool was lovely and refreshing after a day of beach-hopping. We rented a car and drove into town each day. I saw many guests called for taxis. There is a local small community park nearby to look at the marina and watch surfers, with a small playground and some artwork. Also at the bottom of the hill is the posh Marina with a few restaurants and high-end boutiques, as well as a hospital with medical clinics and laboratories (including some medical imaging). On the other end of the street are the restaurants, small stores, and markets for an authentic experience. We did light shopping for snacks, a swimsuit, knock-off Costa Rican futbol jerseys, empanadas, and groceries. We used the kitchen in the hotel each night which saved us some money and allowed us to really enjoy the hotel balcony with a gorgeous view of the moon and the water with a stunning sunset I won't forget. I highly recommend this property.

Staff was very welcoming. We had a room right by the pool which was great. We loved the property and got to watch all the birds fly around every morning. The breakfast was amazing, my son loved the coconut and banana pancakes. The waterfall on property was great! Would 100% stay again.

About a 20 min drive to Playa Espadilla and the majority of the restaurants. Wish the room offered two beds instead of a bed and soft couch. Lights on our patio did not work. Wish they had a restaurant that offered more dinner options given how far they are from town.

My wife and I loved the view; we could see the ocean and exotic animals like macaws, iguanas, and monkeys from looking out the many windows in our room. We had breakfast each morning on the property, which was both delicious and could be eaten quickly so that we could go on early morning excursions. The were times we were running late, and the staff would make the breakfast for us to go, and we would take it on our 8:00 am tour bus. Every single person we met was extremely friendly and pleasant to be around.

Everything was perfect. I would not change a thing.

Good location if you want to be able to walk into Quepos. The service was excellent - really friendly welcome and good communication by what’s app before arrival and help booking tours (we booked a tour of Manuel Antonio park via the hotel and it was great). Quirky and original design.

The rooms are a bit dated (although still clean and comfortable). The parking lot was too full at times. The apartment we were in needed a few more cooking implements in order to be really functional (but they let us borrow what we needed from the hotel kitchen, so that solved the problem!)

We saw quite some wild life on the hotel premises: different types of monkeys and parrots. You could see the sea in the distance. We spent time on the terrace, was nice to have one (we booked The Nest). The staff was nice and they have 2 really chill dogs.

Restaurants are 15-20 min driving from the hotel (sometimes on pitch dark roads) - that was not an issue for us but i guess you need a car if you stay here. Make sure to let the staff know if you have mobility issues - the way up to some of the studios is easy but you need to take some stairs (heavy suitcases can be problematic). We booked The Nest and it was quite small but comfortable overall (the sliding door from the bathroom was broken so the door was not closing all the way).

Very unique boutique family run hotel! Loved the creative design integrating the hotel into the landscape , wonderful views & location surrounded by trees. We stayed in the Nest, which was small but had great views & a little outdoor seating area. Hotel has a refreshing small pool with waterfall. The sons of the owner that worked there were extremely kind & helpful. They were accommodating - allowed us to drop our luggage off early before check-in & packed some fruit for us to take on an early morning excursion. Walking distance to Marina & Quepos.

This wasn’t an issue for us, but there are a lot of steps depending on your room choice.

This boutique hotel was a small piece of paradise. Everything was beautiful, from the intricately carved wooden furniture, the wall paintings created by an artist, the pool although small was so relaxing. My room was clean and they even put little flowers on my bed in the morning. Breakfast was simple and made with fresh ingredients including fresh fruit, eggs and delicious coffee. There is a full bar by the pool. i don’t drink but they had great smoothies and homemade pizza. In addition, it’s a family run place and a lot of care is put into everything. Dylan was so kind. He helped us plan our excursions, gave us tips on where to eat and what to do in the area. My first two nights, I stayed at the tree top room. I wouldn’t recommend it for someone who isn’t in good physical shape because there is a steep incline to get there but if you can manage you should definitely book this room. It has panoramic rainforest views. Parrots come to visit the trees right outside of the room and a couple afternoons I had lots of monkeys visiting. They got on the roof and peeked through the window. I even got to see a momma monkey and her baby. I didn’t get to see as many monkeys when I went to Manuel Antonio. The third night I stayed in one of their family rooms. it was quite spacious with a couch that turns into a bed in the living room a queen bed in the bedroom and a full kitchen. ideal for a family. I 100% recommend this place.

Great room, comfortable and lovely decor - very welcoming and friendly staff, great location surrounded by nature! Nice hikes nearby and the Marina at the bottom of the hill. Nice swimming pool and areas to relax in. Kitchenette was very clean and great facilities for cooking. They have a lovely breakfast in the morning also. If we had any issues (or needed help) they were more than willing to help us. We loved our stay and would really encourage others to visit - Pura vida!

I believe the lady at the reception needs a raise as she handles so much from reception to breakfest service and I think more people should be employed as the waiting time for breakfest was more than an hour.

the staff was really friendly and helpful. the hotel room was huge and equipped well. the bed was super comfy, the pool was great, the breakfast was delicious aswell. would recommend this place to everyone :)
