The owner, Clemencia upgraded our stay to an apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchenette, and living room/tv area and 2 balconies. One facing the pool and the other facing a garden and horse pasture. The latter having a small table and chairs perfect for your morning coffee or reading a book in a hammock. It was beautiful, comfortable and perfect for our 5 day stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a delicious breakfast included in our stay as well. The hotel has a nice tropical atmosphere with views to the jungle where you can see numerous species of birds and howler monkeys. The beach is a short 8 minute walk away and the town of Samara is just a little less than 2 km away. We enjoyed our stay so much we wished we could have stayed longer.

My only recommendation would be to add orquídeas to the pool garden to attract more hummingbirds.

The zone is along a dusty road far from the (relatively small) buzz of Samara but still at walking distance. The pool area is cozy, the management professional, the quality price ratio and a friendly night guardian sometimes feeding super cute raccoons. Fast breakfast service with tasty products.

Triple rooms maybe somewhat small sized but with Samara’s great weather quite useless to spend time inside the room!

I found it quite comfy and relaxing. I would almost call it a retreat than resort. Great staff and restaurant. We stayed for dinner first night and they happily split our salad and entree to share. Also added chicken to the pasta entree. Breakfast was simple yet very good and healthy. Great Coffee! Out of town but still close. So quiet. Was about a 10 minute walk to the ocean at a less crowded beach. A small Bodega was well stocked just a few minutes away. The restaurant also had a small bar. Limited in it's offerings but worked fine.

Like I said, like a retreat which was fine with me. My friend missed having a TV, not me. Although we missed having a mini fridge or at least a cooler. The beds could use some upgrades. I was fine but my friend has some back issues that a different mattress might have been better

Huge pool, the water temperature is perfect, nice and relaxing environment. The room is spacious, bed is comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is fine. Breakfast was delicious.

There was no wifi in the room, only around the swimming pool. Was good enough to use Whatsapp, but when I wanted to work a bit in the morning the internet was insufficient for that. Bit far from the beach if you plan to walk, but it's still ok.

Very pretty little hotel with nice gardens and lovely pool area! The bedrooms are decent size, beds are comfortable. We were 5 in a room for 4 and the owner kindly gave us a blow up bed for our little one! The restaurant is very good, lovely breakfast with view on the pool and gardens. Fresh fruit and juice every morning were a great start to our day!

The facilities were beautiful and so clean. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating. The pool was beautiful. The location was great as it was 5 minute drive from downtown and maybe 10 minutes to the beach...so away from the busy center. The only thing that could use improvement are new pillows and maybe blankets. Otherwise we would stay here again and recommend. Thank you for having our Family of 7.

Very nice and clean room for three with two patios: one to the refreshing pool, the other is facing the garden. The beach nearby is stunning. Breakfast very tasty and nice and helpful staff around. We planned to stay for one night only and made it three.

There is no Wi-Fi in the suite. Too weak signal overall. Not considering the Costa Rican wifi reliability which we understand is not in your scope.

Pacific Lodge is a little gem of Sámara, located in the beautiful Buena Vista neighbourhood. We came for two weeks with our four children to explore the region. The owner Clémence was so kind, she even provided an extra small fridge for us. Breakfast (3 delicious options) is included, with freshly squeezed juice and fruit salad. The staff have been incredibly friendly and sweet, this place carries the flavour of a corporate family founded on trust and respect. And what a nice pool, plus the howler monkeys in the jungle accross, and the view over the back terrace/balcony over the fields of BuenaVista with horses and kettle and wild pigs serenly living their natural life. Albeit a little far to walk at night, it’s still a great location to the beaches. We loved the layout of the hotel and the beautiful pool was perfect for swimming and bathing

The bunk bed area of the room was very warm at night as the air con didn’t reach that part of the room well and the bunk bed moved quite a bit!
