I stayed at this hotel for a four night biking trip in the surrounding area. The hotel has a secure room on the ground floor where we were able to store our bicycles. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet included with the room each morning was comprehensive. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is directly on the river, and there are many bike trails around the area. This trip was purely for breakfast, bicycle recreation, and a few evening beers, and through that lens, this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is directly on the Vltavá river, and there are canoe and raft rentals adjacent to the hotel but we did not do that. I am not including the hotel restaurant for optional lunch and dinner in my review of the underlying hotel stay. Outside of the free breakfast buffet, which was fantastic, the restaurant also offers a basic Czech lunch and dinner menu. It was mildly pricey, but not unreasonable relative to anything else in this small town. The restaurant staff was fantastic, which can make any meal better. My wife and I drove about 20 minutes north into Český Krumlov for Asian food one night for a change of menu, but still returned to the hotel brewery for a couple of evening beers. The brewery has range of beers that are very good. I typically do not drink Czech pilsners or lagers, enjoyed the Bilá Paní, and Pale Ale in particular. This brewery has enough styles of beers that you will find something that you like if you drink beer. This was particularly enjoyable after a couple of hours of bike riding in different directions each day.

Nice and brand new environment of a brewery that runs a very nice restaurant, a shop and an info centre, taking care of all your needs. Quiet nights. Good room equipment and hygiene. Perfect communication once we needed slight changes. Breakfast was decent.

The first room we got smelled of dirty carpet - perhaps carpets in public areas arent the best choice in an area packed with watersports enthusiasts. We got a new room instantly and the communication was great though. The windows are a little small and dim.

The place is absolutely stunning, with comfortable beds and exceptional cleanliness. The breakfast was fantastic, and we also had dinner there, which was simply amazing.

Unfortunately, one thing marred our otherwise excellent experience—the lack of air conditioning! We stayed in a room under the roof in August, and the temperature inside reached nearly 30 degrees. It was too hot to sleep comfortably. One more suggestion. It would be great to have insect screens on the windows.

Lovely hotel in a nice area, nice clean room, great bed, good restaurant.

From the first floor there was an unpleasant odd smell in the corridor, (maybe coming up from the brewery..?) which they should definitely do something about. They should also ask some of the the waitresses and the kitchen stuff in the restaurant to behave themselves. Maybe not everyone wants to hear their antics in the kitchen during dinner - let's say instead of some music that was turned off. At least they should close the door while they are 'having fun' in the kitchen.

Pivovar Rožmberk is only 2 years old so the rooms are modern, new and very clean. Restaurant/Pivovar was the only restaurant in town that was open (Off Season) but beer was great and we appreciated being able to get food without having to drive to another town. Price paid per night was an incredible value considering that a very good and plentiful breakfast was also included. Great housekeeping staff - we returned to our room with beautiful swans on our bed made from towels which was a sweet gesture to please us (we were very pleased and delighted with the swans!)

The second time is here. It has a great environment, clean room, comfortable beds, half board is very valuable, delicious dinner, you can try some local dishes, and cheap and nice Czech pivo.

There was not enough parking space, the waiter always spilled some of the beer while serving🙃 breakfast time could have started earlier

Good food in restaurant, comfortable bed, central located, nice view at the castle.

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned during our whole stay (3 nights). Paid parking - this could be complimentary service taking into account the price we already paid for accommodation. For such big hotel very few parking spaces.

The hotel is located on the river with a stunning view of the castle. The Beer Spa was very relaxing and both the dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The staff are all wonderful. Highly recommend.

The toilet in our room was very close to the sink so we had to sit slightly sideways on the toilet. A small inconvenience for an otherwise exceptional stay.

A charming historic hotel with cozy and modern rooms. A pleasant restaurant and excellent food — not to mention the beer. Definitely worth a visit and stay if you’re traveling in South Bohemia, Austria, or the Bavarian Forest in Germany.

There is no elevator in the building.
