We had a great stay at Pension Pod Skalkou. The pool and garden was a real highlight—clean, refreshing, calm and perfect after a day exploring. Breakfast was varied and served hot in the morning between 8-10am, with plenty of options to choose from. Unlimited tea, coffee and water was offered all day. The staff were very friendly and attentive, offering helpful tips about the local area, including how to catch the bus back. Helpful hint: the train station is quite a walk (25 minutes) and up a very steep hill, while the bus station is 10 minute walk up a short hill. The location is ideal—less than a 10-minute walk to the town centre, but still quiet and peaceful. Beds were comfy, and we appreciated the option to rent a fan for just 100 CZK, which really helped in the summer heat. Overall, great value and excellent hospitality. We’d happily stay again!

Amazing welcome from Lubos and the apartment was perfect for our overnight stay with a great bedroom and separate lounge. Everything was very clean and we even got to use the pool (despite the weather). We also liked that it was 10mins walk from the busy part of town so we had a good night's sleep.

Only thing missing was a holder for the toilet roll in the very new looking bathroom. If you want to eat out the nearest restaurants are around 10mins walk, but the breakfasts in the hotel will fill you up

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! Our room was very clean and tidy, which made us feel right at home. The location is excellent—just a short 10-minute walk to the main tourist area, so it's convenient yet peaceful. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise—delicious and definitely better than what we've experienced at other hotels. Highly recommended!

no lift at the hotel and our room is located on the 3rd floor. it's a bit of an exercise as we had to carry our luggage all the way up.

Very friendly host, we received tips for other nice locations to realize a day/trip, hotel is closed to the centre of the town, quiet,pool at the garden was nice to have some fun ,even at this hotel area we did a walk uphill to a viewing point ( church) over the whole city, breakfast was now then enough, all day long free water and tee!

Location is excellent - very quiet street yet just 5 min walk to the historical city center. Plenty of parking space. Spacious room, fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Comfortable beds with soft matresses and large enough pillows. Nice outside terrace, picturesque and well maintained backyard. Good breakfast. Super friendly and accommodating host who gave us plenty of valuable recommendations on local places to eat - many thanks for that.

Just an additional roll of toilet paper would be very much in place in the bathroom ...

It's a great location, just a 10 minute walk to the old town. Breakfast was substantial for the price, a very good spread with a wide choice. Comfortable beds,I had a great sleep as despite its central location the area is very quiet. Ample parking for a number of cars. Can recommend to all and would certainly stay again

Not really a dislike, but it's an issue that is relevant to many b and b . An instruction folder on the operation of the different appliances would be invaluable. I don't wish to call the owner to operate a TV , Washing machine, dishwasher. Most guests speak a language other than the host country so a little blurb on relevant appliances would be more than useful.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and refreshing environment. Additionally, the location was perfect—close enough to the city center to easily explore, yet far enough to enjoy a peaceful and quiet setting. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Wonderful reception on the first day with all the relevant information. Very kind, helpful and professional. As we stayed only for one night we didn't get to try outside swimming pool. Very good location with free parking. Very nice and relaxing garden/pool area available. We loved the breakfast as well.

I cannot speak highly enough how wonderful Hotel Garni Pod is for the best of experience in Cesky Krumlov. During check-in, the owner/host (who is very friendly and cordial) provided an extremely detailed and most helpful overview of the city and its best attractions and restaurants. The convenience of its location to the historical area and bus station (I recommend Flix Bus for transport), at most 10 -15 minute walk in each instance, was perfect while being on a quiet neighborhood/street. The room was completely comfortable, and the home-made, traditional Czech breakfast offerings each day were exceptional. We had a most pleasant and enjoyable stay, and most highly recommend to anyone wanting a true Czech experience in Cesky Krumlov.

What could have been better? Nothing.

Hotel Garni Pod Skalkou is situated just outside the city centre (15 minutes walk) and has ample parking space. The rooms are spacious and clean and the host is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good spread of items with all the usual condiments. We enjoyed staying here and would certainly come back another time.
