The rooms were very decent and decent size, we really enjoyed the place. The breakfast was great and the varied, I do suggest people to take the breakfast with the room, it is worth it, and the staff is really friendly. The amenities such as swimming pool and sauna are great, of course it is not SPA level or water park level and neither should they be: it is a hotel for visiting, not for SPA.

I felt that having just one lift was limiting, and that sometimes it was slow to respond, so we used the stairs a lot. Also, the parking fees were quite high, at 9€ a day, when one can park next to the hotel, at the RatHaus for 3€ a day (you have to get the discount from the tourist office).

The location is pretty good, just few minutes away from the town center. Wonderful sauna and swimming pool, very clean and everything is well arranged. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The pillows are very soft and only two (one per person). I like harder and higher pillows, so I didn't sleep very well. Of course, it could be provided but it was already very late. So I will advice the hotel to put an extra pillow in the cupboard or on the bed. Or request an extra pillow(s) at check-in,

We had the swimming pool mostly to ourselves. Our eight years old son loved it!

At arrival the man at the reception told us he gave us a different room. In his humble opinion a much nicer room. We were not impressed at all by the room and wondered how the other rooms would be like. (Like prison?) Couple days later we arrived back in the hotel and got a different room from different receptionist. Much nicer room!!! Funny sense of humour the first guy had.... The restaurant is only so so but in town we managed to find a restaurant so bad we wished we had eaten at the hotel.

Waitress making fun of an older customer by repeating his words thinking that the customer doesn’t hear or understand. This customer may be old but he hears and understands perfectly. Please some respect to all customers.

Nice hotel close to the center of Monschau. Friendly staff, nice room, comfortable beds, quite clean. Maybe a tiny bit outdated, but totally fine for a night or two. Beautiful swimming pool on the 5th floor, accessible to everyone. We didn't have breakfast, 21 euro per person looks too expensive to us.

Expensive breakfast. We didn't use the parking at the hotel, since they ask 9 euro a day for it, while the parking just a few meters above the street costs 7 euro a day.

We arrived by bus and it was just back up the hill to the hotel. That is easier than dragging cases over cobblestones in the aldstadt. The room was modern, comfortable. A bit warm, no air conditioning but an opening window. Breakfast was great and had options to suit most people.

We had a shower over the bath. I usually request not to have that, so I don’t know if there were rooms with shower only and we may have booked too late to get one, or they didn’t have any stand alone showers.

This hotel is in perfect location and when all facilities are open it’s a nice place luckily the lift is working now

Unfortunately without notice on website the pool was closed which was a shame as this is one of the reasons I picked to stay here! Breakfast has gone down hill a lot since last time eggs were cold and not much choice

Great location and a very comfortable room. The hotel is ideally located to explore the small town of Monschau. The hotel met all expectations with a nice breakfast also.

Parking is limited; we got the last space which was quite narrow in between other cars. Off street parking is available but needs to be paid for.

The bedrooms were very hot with no air conditioning. We came down for breakfast towards the end of service and the choice was limited and the staff were helping themselves to what was left. The makeshift bar was limited in choice of drinks. When I asked for a coffee with my cognac I was told the coffee machine was broken
