I was in the blue room on the 1st floor. The B&B is very well equipped. It has a good bed; good bathroom and shower; it has a sitting area with coffee machine and water boiler for tea. The room has a nice decor and is very clean. In the B&B are toiletries, drinks and snacks available in hall. Pricelist shows reasonable prices. B&B is in center of Monschou. Everything is nearby. Car must be parked at 5 minutes walking from B&B. Breakfast served in basket is optional. Looked good. But I had breakfast at Hirsch cafe/backerei, open from 7.30. Not expensive and good products/breakfast on offer. It can be busy during day in Monschau, but in evening and at night it is fairly quiet. I can surely recommend this B&B

Two things. It is an old building when people on the 2nd floor walk or talk you hear that. On 1st day there was a family with children and you notice they are there. But it was always quiet from 22h. Another thing that has a disadvantage, but that is personal, is the farm door ( door that slides along the wall) between room and bathroom. It does not close completely and when I use the toilet I want privacy. My partner however really liked the door.

Amazing stylish and cozy room! Perfect bed and mattress! Stylish way by stairs to the room. You really fill this historical German life! It's better in reality than in photos! The only small remark is that the drawers for clothes are not painted, so we had to cover them with something to avoid damaging clothes with splinters Soundproofing is moderate, but I think it's inevitable for historical buildings. The ceilings are lower than usual. It's not an issue, but may be important for someone.

We got delayed before check in and the communication with the host was perfect . Very understanding and helpful. Room was lovely and quaint, the bed was super confortable, loving the pillows! Just right for a good night sleep after a long day walking and driving! Loved the slanted ceiling onto the bed! The bathroom was beautiful too, nice shower and the decor was very tasteful. All the towels and flannels were nice and clean. The complimentary little Prosecco and chocolate were a nice surprise. Wished we arrived earlier to enjoy it more. Got up early to enjoy Monschau early. Went for a walk at 8am thru town and around and it was a cute sleepy town but so peaceful and quiet and absolutely gorgeous. By the time 12 o’clock came it was a bit more buzzing and had a nice lunch Flammekueche, salad beer was perfect.

The apartment is conveniently located on the ground floor, making it easy to access without needing to navigate stairs, which is a plus when carrying luggage. However, the windows face directly onto the street, which can sometimes compromise privacy and bring in noise. The bedroom, while on the smaller side, feels cozy and inviting, offering a snug atmosphere perfect for a good night’s sleep. The kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine and kettle, great for quick drinks, but it’s worth noting that it lacks basic cutlery, which may be inconvenient for those planning to prepare meals.

The place was exactly as described in the listing. The amenities were complete for a comfortable stay. The bed was easily one of the best beds we’ve slept in and we had very sound asleep on both the nights so we were well rested in the morning. The bathroom is very spacious. The location is perfect as it is a 5 min walk from the parking garage and it is in the city center. Ivonne was very helpful during our stay and we will definitely recommend this place.

It was quirky and full of character - the location was fantastic. Getting up the following morning and going into the square for breakfast was lovely as it was almost empty of other tourists - cash is required by most vendors. Fantastic recommendation for a restaurant

Be prepared to walk about 300m with your bags to the property as cars are not allowed to drive up to the accommodation - a little bit of prep work from the night before helps. If you are very tall or have problems with flights of stairs - opt for the blue, green or yellow room - not the red (but oh it was quirky )

We stayed 2 nights in the Blue room. Charming bedroom on the first floor with a mix of authentic elements and modern decoration. Cosy sitting area and spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed (160 cm) We appreciated the 3 types of pillows and the seperate duvets (blankets) for sleeping comfort, and the availability of snacks and drinks for a fair price. Public parking is just 5 min away and cheap. Monschau is very small so you have plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner options just around the corner. Friendly and flexible hosts, you receive a lot of info about the accomodation and Monschau once you’ve booked.

The shower looks beautiful but is not very practical :) if you’re over 1.75m you don’t fit under the rain shower, and the shower head can’t be secured properly so you have to hold it while taking your shower. Not a deal-breaker for us though!

Excellent location!

The only drawback was the handing over of keys. We were sent a message saying we should call the property 10 minutes before arrival. However, since on holiday we were not able to check email regularly. It took us about 30 minutes after arrival to finally get into the apartment. Other than that, everything else was fantastic! The gentleman we met at the entrance of the building (key handover) was very friendly and courteous. Ivonne the lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and friendly as well!

The apartment was lovely, very nice and cosy and perfect for our one night stay. The location was also perfect, in a quaint little village and the host was very helpful with any questions we had.

It was not a problem at all, but as non-German speakers it would have been helpful to have an English translation of the welcome book - however this is still not a criticism of the host at all!

We were very surprised and delighted by the location and quality of this establishment. Right in the centre of town it could not be more convenient and the room itself was large with a great bathroom and decent refreshments. The owner met us when we sent a txt 20 min out and gave a great brief. Breakfast was offered but not taken die to our itinerary

Like anywhere in Monchau parking has to be remote and you walk in. We were on a moyand although i didnt know at the time i could have brought the bike right into town and parked opposite the hotel.
