JW Marriott Surabaya is an absolutely beautiful property that boasts many of the best amenities in the city. It is fully self-sufficient with everything you may require within easy reach: not only do you have the usual comforts, like the 6th-floor rooftop pool next to a loveable observation deck and meditation grounds, massage parlour, gym etc.; but also no fewer than five different eateries, each of them a culinary attraction in its own right. We had a very memorable welcome coffee in the lovely bakery downstairs (hi Fera!) and a very enjoyable dinner in the steakhouse, rightfully proud to be the best in Surabaya. In fact, while the city itself is vibrant, colourful and alive, it can also be a bit much at times, and this hotel with its lowkey luxurious rooms, comfy beds and immaculate facilities is just what one needs to recharge. Speaking of recharging, the absolutely mind-blowing breakfast deserves a special mention—I don't think I ever saw a similarly wild choice of different cuisines and mouthwatering dishes served with comparable elegance anywhere else. You could basically disregard everything else I wrote and simply come for the breakfast and you wouldn't be disappointed. Finally, staff here are exceptionally friendly (shoutout to the extraordinary Afdilah who had to tolerate my incessant questioning and helped us throughout our stay) even by Indonesian standards, and that's a hard bar to clear. All in all, it's a place I'd come back to just to stay in the hotel, even though venturing out is a breeze, too—JW Marriott is very well located in the centre of the city and most of the local attractions are within easy reach.

Your websites description of the room was totally wrong. There was no hot tub in the room. Very disappointed with booking.com and will probably not use your service again in the future. With regards to the hotel the only complaint was in relation to the spa. It's located in a section with the child care area. So very noisy and not relaxing during treatments. I was so annoyed I considered moving to my room.. The staff at the spa were fantastic and apologised for the this.

We liked everything! This has been our best stay ever. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is beautiful, calming and not too busy. The sauna is also a good touch. The breakfast was extraordinary with so many options. The morning we weren’t able to make it to breakfast because of our climb to Mount Bromo, the concierge had breakfast for us ready the night before for us to take away. When we left we had the best help from the concierge to send one of our suitcases to send off to our next accommodation. Every single staff member was super friendly and always willing to help with everything. Thank you for this amazing stay!

Breakfast had many great options. Very tasty, high quality. The behaviour of the staff is just amazing. They treat you like a queen. Because of this kindness and hospitality, I will come back exactly to your hotel. The bathroom is amazing, and the room is spacious, with amazing views of the Surabaya panorama. All the best recommendations. I think it is the best hotel in the whole Java!

its a high end hotel but with an old interior, i guess maybe it was build like 10 years ago. the room environment is a bit too old, however everything is work perfectly, bed was huge, pillow also so comfy. the TV is not smart TV yet only normal cable channel the Pool is actually kinda too small for this kind of hotel brand. Gym was great Breakfast was great (the restaurant also so comfy)

actually nothing. maybe only a bit of information to the next guest, since this is consider 1 of the grande hotel at surabaya so it will be used very often with top VIP government therefore you will see a lot of guards (maybe somebody will feel not comfy on this)

Beautiful hotel with superb service and staff. Stunning swimming pool, large, and with beautiful mosaic floor. Great gym. Breakfast was great. The room was large, clean, and super comfortable bed. Good location. Highly recommend the massages in the spa!

My room didn't have a bathtub. The swimming pool is really at the center of the hotel, so it is less private. The western breakfast could be slightly better, like adding cheese.

Location, breakfast, very friendly staff, clean hotel, have smoking rooms. I enjoy hanging out in the swimming pool area with a beautiful garden. The spa center is great, skilled therapists. The bar and executive lounges are great.

The room lighting a bit dark, can do with more lights. Some towel although clean but very worn out and yellow ish in appearance, they need to change this. Filled up the bathtub and the water appears yellow.

It was clean, and located in a very convenient location. Great and fast service from the staff. The bellboys, security, receptionist, concierge, and housekeeping were all very friendly and warm. I would like to give thanks to Agim from housekeeping in particular. He was very attentive to our needs.

The bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, they were too soft. The hotel, especially the bathroom, is a bit old.

The Colonial decor, very spacious room , delicious breakfast and exceptional staff. Beyond expectation. Fantastic Location . Only 500 metres from TP 6. . They offer free shuttle to Tunjungan Plaza daily. Enjoyed our 3 night stay. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately they allow smoker at the Lobby pub so we decided not to sit and enjoy the music and drinks there. We can smell the strong cigarettes from the reception area.
