I liked the breakfast, that the hotel is non-profit, and its cleanliness. The room has well-placed outlets and side tables, and it was the first room we've had that had an actual double bed, not just two mattresses smooshed together.

The location was a disappointment. It was about a mile to the part of the city with the interesting attractions. It's more on the outskirts of the city. They also didn't explain how to get a flat rate on the parking, and I only discovered that something was amiss because I speak some Danish. No instructions were given in English until I asked about it. The room numbering system is confusing at first, as room numbers don't correspond to floors.

Modern, clean and friendly. Great breakfast, free tea and coffee in the lobby ( no kettle in the room). We had a room with a balcony overlooking the car park which was quiet. Good AC. Comfy beds. Nice park next to the hotel which you walk through to get to the train station.

We chose to use the luggage lockers at the train station as the hotel charges a large fee to drop off luggage early before your room is ready.

Lovely stay at the Kompass hotel in Aalborg. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was very quiet and the beds comfy. The sauna (included in room cost) was an excellent addition; you ask to book and get the keys from reception and then you get private access to the sauna!

The shower pressure on the 6th floor wasn't great and the shower products (just shampoo/ body wash) could be improved.

Simple hotel with stylish scandic design. Very convenient to have a family room with bunk beds. Lovely seating areas and lounges inside and outside hotel with tea and coffee available all day. Amazing breakfast buffet. Quick walk to waterfront and city center.

Ideal hotel stay in Aalborg. Very centrally located with easy access to shopping, dining and sightseeing. Parking access was adjacent to the hotel and very affordable. Aalborg is the ideal location from which to see all of beautiful Northern Denmark. Breakfast selection was good and nutritious. Food service in the evening was sparse but service from the staff was excellent. Access to the gym across the square was a great bonus!

Very nice hotel in the eastern part of Ålborg city centre. The hotel is easily accessible by car and would also be so by train. There are plenty of nice eateries and bars in the vicinity of the hotel. My single room was a decent size with a small desk and the breakfast buffet was good and varied and very well laid out. All in all a hotel that I can recommend.

The breakfast was top notch, with many healthy and tasty options and a wide range of beverages to choose from. Also a lot of bread choices, and the eggs were cooked well. I would come back just for the breakfast!

The room itself was a bit smaller than I had expected. The temperature was a little too high and I was unable to reduce it. There was no shampoo/conditioner in the shower.

Excellent location in theheart of Aalborg. Plenty of parking spaces below and in front of the building. Room was good: nice and clean bathroom, excellent bed and even a nice little balcony.... Staff and breakfast were fine. Nothing special, but sufficient. Location is perfect for a stroll through the centre of Aalborg with it's nice car-free center, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and an inviting young, urban, creative atmosphere!

It's not possibloe to reserve a parking spot, which would be reassuring before driving the (fully loaded) car to Aalborg's city center during a holidat stop-over.

Initially given a room overlooking the main road corner on first floor, asked to be moved and asked for upgrade fee...when I retuned to pick up the key the receptionist said "there's no extra charge". Nice touch that prompts loyal, thank you. The rooms are clean, quiet, modern and very functional. Bathroom in very good condition with a good shower. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast food quality great

No dinner on offer in the evening, as it happens no problem - a good Vietnamese two minutes down the road

Very good breakfast, very friendly staff, convenient parking, very good beds. We had bikes with us and were offered to use the locked room in the basement free of charge.

The soap in the bathroom. It was a foam type of soap in both shower and at the sink. I felt it was too diluted, making me use a lot more than usual to get a clean feeling. Not suitable as shampoo.
