Booked the superior room When arriving to the room I checked there were a few things missing I went to reception & asked for a robe which I presumed was in my package & it was ! The receptionist told me no superior rooms have robes in them & it’s booking.com mistake But it clearly says robes/slippers in superior rooms She asked me for a copy of my booking which was proof !& I got a robe which without this proof this wasn’t going to happen She also said she would contact booking .com & tell them to take this off there website ! There’s a very similarity of the superior room and the luxury room which are very deceiving ! & needs clarifying for future guest arriving to be disappointed ! Breakfast wasn’t to my taste Also I’d rather cups with handles in the bedroom when holding hot water etc Not enough creamers & sugar in bedrooms Maybe a biscuit of some sort ( just a jester My whole experience of this hotels needs adjustments ! Been in the hotel trade myself it’s been a very disappointing stay !..

Location is very convenient, on the fjord and walking distance from the center. Well maintained nice eco friendly hotel. Nice breakfast area.

Very noisy room with cars passing by, people talking. Even there are earplugs provided by the hotel. Some stuff is very rules and policies oriented. They rather stick to the rule, than help to improve an experience of your stay.

The room was spacious and well laid out and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast options were excellent - fresh and delicious! Location was fabulous - very easy walk to city centre, restaurants, shopping and places of interest.

No built in fan or cooling: although I understand that is isn't often required in region, it was extremely hot during my stay and the only option was a very small and very very noisy desk fan. It would also be good to indicate when stairs are required for room access - I was not informed of this and had to manage my luggage up 2 flights of internal stairs to get to the room as the lift did not reach the 3rd floor. This should be highlighted as guests may have mobility issues.

Pier 5 is a superb hotel situated right next to the water. Everything we needed was so close by. We walked to the best part of town and we’re able to eat in a quaint restaurant and coffee shop. The receptionist, Selle, was a life saver. She arranged for us to go to our room early, and go to a medical facility on a Saturday for treatment for a fall my husband had on the train. She called us a taxi and we could never have managed all this without her!

I am not sure why there was no coffee/tea in our room or in the lobby. We needed to sign up for their breakfasts which looked great. We were able to purchase coffee and a pastry in the reception area.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are equally so. Very interestingly decorated. Everything looked the same as in the photos. The staff was super nice and helpful. Very easy with the online check-in and check-out. We checked-in online while we were still on the way to the hotel and received a room number and a code to enter the room. The same with the check-out. We checked out before we went to sleep since we had to leave early, entered the planned leaving time, and that was it. No problem at all. There was not enough parking at the hotel, but we parked across the small street using the Easypark app.

We had a room that was possible to have as a connected room and we were able to hear voices coming from the other room. People there were not yelling, but they were having a normal conversation.

I have asked for a quiet room, on the upper floor. This request was confirmed! I got a room at the 1st floor, noisy, on the street side. After failing to sleep because of the street noise, I complained but the answer was that the type of room I have chosen is available only on the 1st floor, facing the street ?)!! I had to upgrade to the only room left which was a junior suite on the 3rd floor, facing the water at substantial additional cost! (It was quite indeed). This is not right!! Also-at check in I have asked for one receipt to show all my payments. It was confirmed by the receptionist. When Apparently when I checked out it was not possible, and I was promised that I should get it to my mail. Still waiting There is no light on the working desk.

The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The common areas were lovely.

The breakfast wasn't included and is expensive. It was hard to regulate the room temperature -- I had to keep the window open, but there was a lot of street noise.

We loved the position of the hotel on the waterfront and so close to everything we wanted to see. Also the parking was very convenient right at the front door! We enjoyed having a drink in the hotel bar and one evening, enjoyed their beautiful salad and pizza. We didn't use the breakfast option.

We would have liked a sheer curtain as well as the heavy one - our room was very exposed to all the neighbouring windows and the big car park area - just felt a bit 'public'!!

Nice hotel with modern furnishings. Excellent location in Aalborg. The room on one of the top floors facing the garden was good and quiet. Bathroom had nice toiletries. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection of sweets. Check-in/out process was smooth. Staff was very helpful.

Sea view was a bit obstructed by buildings, which didn’t matter much in the end. Curtains are not enough to keep the bathroom floor free of water after a shower, but not a big deal.

- the emplacement next to city center and in front of the river / fjord - the kindness of the responsible at the reception that helped to solve all potential issues - the communicating rooms - the public space that is really cozy and with games available - the breakfast healthy and complete

- the parking is a bit of a nightmare (we got a fine despite we paid the ticket because we parked in the other side of the street)
