Eet good value and an extremely convenient location. You drive off the ferry and 300 meters down the road is the hostel. Knowing the ferry arrives very late, they have a simple self-check-in process. Very user friendly! We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids and we had 1 room together. Nothing fancy, no superfluous knickknacks, just everything you need: 6 beds, a bathroom, bed linnen and towels. They serve breakfast in the morning as well. The staff were also very friendly.

There is nothing we disliked, but I wish we could have paid an extra fee to get beds that were already made. Because making 6 beds at 1 o’clock in the morning was a bit of a hassle. But as said, this would have been a nice option to have. Nothing wrong with the hostel not having this option.

It had a fantastic location only 10 mins from the train station and 5 mins from the ferry terminal! The high street was really close for food, shopping, history. The whole place was comfortable with clean bathrooms and a great shared kitchen / dining space. Also very friendly staff.

There was only 2 hours you could check in but the late check in was really, really easy.

Spacious room, very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Handsome old building with somewhat dated and quirky rooms. This isn't a hotel, so manage your expectations a bit. Late arrival worked very well. The location is perfectly situated for exploring the center of Frederikshavn, as is the free parking, which can otherwise be somewhat pricey.

We were recommended not to use the elevator after staff hours (18:00), so we didn't. We also didn't think to order breakfast - which at least in the off-season needs to be ordered in advance. Completely understandable, so that's on us. The person on staff when we left wasn't aware that our room was pre-paid through booking.com, and I couldn't remember whether it was or not, so I ended up paying twice. This was easily rectified by the owner/proprietor by email communication later.

Very close to the shops and restaurants, and in walking distance to the ferry terminals. Free parking is a good service. The room is clean and large. The building is old, but it's a part of its charm.

The common kitchen, especially the freezer was not very clean. The TV in our room didn't work.

Very warm welcome even If I was too late with my arrival. Hostel is very cental and it ist near to the Ferry harbour. Room was very nice on the third floor with a private bathroom. Hostel can be very well recommended.

Good central location, easy check in (as arrived outside reception hours). The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast available to purchase if wanted and use of a shared kitchen. Good value for money and would certainly stay again.

This place is very close to the ferry, about a 1 minute walk once out of the walkway. It was probably the cleanest place I had stayed during my travels in Denmark. The room was quiet other then some people on the street when the window was open. We did not stay for breakfast but it looked good.

The bathroom was a little tight sized at the sink. No place to set much down when you had 5 people in the room.

One needs to remember that this is a hostel and I'm rating it based on on that. The location is great and this hostel offers a clean room, bed and bathroom. Would recommend the breakfast as it is plentiful with a lot of different choices. We contacted the front desk to confirm our arrival time and he was kind enough to say that he would wait for us since we would possibly be later than planned. For a hostel stay this is a good one.

Even though we did not order the breakfast at booking we told the employee we wanted breakfast and he had breakfast ready for us. It was also a very good Danish breakfast.

We were coming in late and we said this on the booking, but we didn't see that we needed to call the day of at a certain time. The emergency number given was good and we were able to complete the day knowing we had a place to stay. It would have been better to have been notified before the day of travel.

The room was much nicer than expected for the price. Great location to catch the ferry!

A bit weird check-in system with strict schedules, but completely understand also again with the price.
