Lovely staff, very clean and comfortable hotel directly in the middle of the village a block from the harbour.

If I have to mention two very very minor things I’d say that breakfast starts a bit too early. We needed to leave by 07.30 and it would have been good to get a coffee and a pastry at 07.00. The other was that the bathroom light was really bright and the bed faced the door, so if your partner gets up in the night for the bathroom you’ll be woken with the light… this was room 11. Both did not take away from the fact that this is a wonderful hotel and I’ll definitely plan to come back

The staff are great - I accidentally left a ring behind in our room and the receptionist called me to tell me they had found it and then made sure I got it back after we returned home from our trip.

Our room was above a popular pub and we were there over a public holiday meaning the pub was loud and open late. The earplugs left in the bedrooms were a clue that we might be disturbed by the pub noise (until 3am!) but it would have been better if we had been given a choice of another room.

Bright, clean, airy, and spacious - having many windows in the room was nice. Lots of space for storage of luggage or for longer stays. The balcony with seating was good. Lots of seating area to lounge on and beds were comfortable. Great location - walking distance to sights, restaurants and shops. Had ample parking spots.

There was a distinct smell in the room (like unattended wet laundry, used bathroom and fishy smell). This was slightly remedied by having the windows open but that was a bit hard during the evening when the folks from the bar down below were outside smoking. Carpeted floors

We found our lodgings, the Hotel Marie easily and what a truly delightful place it was. From our initial warm welcome, to our spacious room, to the generally high quality air of the whole place, it was a little gem. At breakfast, the variety of dishes on offer was well in keeping with the high-standards, the waitress even found a pot for my (English) husband's tea. The garden was well kept and inviting for a bit of relaxation.

Friendly, welcoming staff and very clean rooms / property. It was a bit of experience like at the AirBnB. In that good sense of being a guest in the someone's own home. Great location with close access to the main street and the waterfront.

There is a bar nearby. Can be noisy, But on another side, it can be a big plus if you are up to go away with friends. PS. the quality of windows is very good - so as long they are closed - it is quiet and comfortable inside.

The friendly and warm welcome and service at Hotel Marie was much appreciated! Everything was immaculate and beautifully furnished and the fact that we were upgraded to an apartment, was unexpected icing on the cake! We truly appreciated the gesture. This was one of the most efficiently and expertly run hotels we have had the pleasure to stay in and it helped us enjoy our lovely time in Skagen! Another pleasant addition was that they had a comfortably furnished bar/breakfast room and a pleasant late afternoon drink was shared on a couple of occasions.

Location - shops / restaurants nearby and just a 3km gentle bike ride ( mostly bike track and quiet roads) to grenen. Bike hire was available from the hotel. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Able to use the lobby at night with an ‘honesty list’ for drinks and snacks. Large 2 bed apartment with very comfortable beds.

Our 2 bedroom stay was directly above a pub. It wasn’t very noisy but Ask for a room at the other side of a little noise / smoke bothers you when windows open.

We loved the location, rooms, comfort and service.

The breakfast could have been better, given the price. I'm lactose and gluten intolerant, so I can only eat hard cheese, but they were all soft cheeses. I also don't eat meat, so I had boiled eggs. The other hotels we stayed in Denmark on our trip had higher quality pastries for the rest who could eat gluten and options for the non-meat eaters: artichokes, vegetables, potatoes etc. However, this, to me, was minor compared to the service we had, which was exceptional, the rooms exceptional and the location. I am only giving for further improvements.

Loved our stay at Hotel Marie, we were in an apartment at the front of the building and it had two spacious bedrooms, a good bathroom, and even a mini kitchenette with an oven and dishwasher!

No complaints about the hotel itself. There is a bar next door which was a little noisy through the night on Saturday night, but as we had two bedrooms we could switch to the one at the back of the property.

Our apartment was wonderful. Plenty of room and everything you could need in the kitchen. Even earplugs in the bedroom which we did not need. We did not think breakfast was included, however it was and was fabulous. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The private parking at the back was another bonus.
