A wonderful historic hotel with character; a lot of rooms and shared spaces (bar, poolroom, various seating areas); the restaurant/ breakfast room had a lot of windows with a seaview: the grounds are very large with a lot of greenery, a wood area and a sculpture park; there are a lot of rooms (perfect for conferences, weddings etc); very good breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff and the environment is stunning, especially in summer (and the Karen Blixen museum is next door). I highly recommend it.

A minor thing and not a problem for me: the room and the bed were a bit small for a double; however, since I was travelling alone it was perfect. Probably you can ask for a larger room since there seems to be a lot of them.

The location is truly marvelous, across from the sea and small harbor, and surrounded by an extensive park with very old trees. The room was as described and photographed, comfortable, roomy and well appointed. The breakfast was ample and served in another section of the property. This turned out to be a problem only because we both were so ill when we arrived, that getting a cup of tea took a major effort.

Because we both were so ill with a flu that we could barely stand, it would have been helpful if there had been some form of room service. I want to point out that this is not a shortcoming of the facility, which does not offer that level of experience, and under other circumstances would have been fine.

This is our third stay, and we keep coming back because of the location. However, the staff is always super nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet is big and there's always something nice to eat. There is always a noon to relax in outside of the room, billiard or table tennis, a bar room, sofas and chair all around, and the coffee stations wit water, coffee, tea, and fruit is a really nice touch. And you can rent bikes and borrow stand up paddle boards.

Egg quality at the breakfast buffet, the scrambled eggs were runny and the softboiled eggs were a bit too runny. The room is what it it is in terms of decoration and it could use a face-lift, but the view is nice and the bed is comfortable even though quite soft.

Cannot say enough good about this place. Room in main building a bit small, but well laid out, had a park view. Have previously stayed in the Park rooms, feels like you are in the forest, just lovely. Breakfast is amazingly good, so many different things to choose from. The beach and the harbor is right across the street. Harbor has a lot of good restaurants, from fancy to a burger. Btw, had the burger at the smallish place, highly recommend. Just a lovely place to stay, third time there, definitely coming back.

This hotel has the perfect location right by the sea ,not too far from Copenhagen, yet offering the peace and quiet of being by the sea. The staff is extremely friendly, and while the rooms are a bit smaller, the service is excellent. Free coffee, breathtaking sea views, and an outstanding breakfast with a healthy, carefully selected menu make the stay truly special. Absolutely recommendable I’ll definitely be back

Very nice hotel offering all that you might need no matter if you're there for vacation or work. Beautiful sight, definitely worth seeing. Bikes available for hotel guests are a nice touch. Very good breakfast. We were leaving very early in the morning, the hotel staff prepared for us sandwiches and water to go. 100% recommend this place.

Everything was perfect.

The breakfast buffet is excellent. Our room was in the 'Park' section, which we highly recommend as our room was larger, had a balcony, and looks out on a beautiful landscape. The hotel's closeness to the harbor (a 5-minute walk) with all its restaurants etc is a real plus. We stayed at the hotel as we were seeing close friends in the area, and because we had visited it in the past. Access to Copenhagen is easy via train or car.

We were a family group including my 8 year old grandson. The hotel is clean, comfortable and extremely relaxed. There are footballs and other outdoor toys in the foyer which you can use. Trampoline outside too which kept Joe happy. The breakfast is really good with a variety of food.

We liked everything really. The rooms are a bit small but they are fine.

I ended up swapping to this hotel at the last minute for my holiday to North Zealand and I didn't regret it. It is a large conference hotel, set in its own sculpture park grounds, overlooking the sea and a marina, and I imagine a gorgeous venue for a business meeting, but out of season, I practically had the place to myself, which felt very luxurious and extra peaceful. The room was quite small & functional, but very comfortable, however you would expect this from a conference hotel. However, it was all the little extras that made it special, such as the free tea and coffee and water taps, lots of things to borrow and buy at reception, and beautiful communal spaces. In the main house - an historic building - there were several appealing lounges for less summery weather, and then beautiful outside spaces: my favourite was the chef's garden, where I sat and read every evening, in the most tranquil space. The food was excellent, both breakfast, and the dinner I had on one of the evenings. It was also in a fantastic position for touring around this beautiful area of Denmark, yet only c.40 mins from Copenhagen airport by car.

The chambermaids were trying to clean rooms too early for out of season, so that could be adjusted to suit the holiday season…and them! Also the wet-room style bathroom was a bit impractical, and took some planning, to ensure you didn't soak the entire floor and then slip over whilst trying to clean your teeth etc!

It is an amazing location. Cosy and nice place. We were in a black building with wonderful view on glade. Silence (comparing with a Copenhagen), tranquility, atmosphere, space!!! A special impression - art objects. They are everywhere.
