The location by the lake was ideal for visiting Viborg. The spa bath, sauna & pool were open until 22:00 in the evening which was great to unwind after work. The breakfast was also good.

The only issue we had is that the wifi was very unreliable and the internet access ports in the rooms did not work. This seems very strange from a business hotel though the staff just explained that this is the way it is. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to do online meetings or calls using the hotels WiFi. If they fix this,I would give a perfect 10.

I am giving 10/10 not because the hotel is most modern nor it has the newest facilities. I am giving 10 because this hotel is a hiden gem for weekend getaway. Amazing value for reasonable price that you pay for. Everything from amazing breakfast, cleanliness of facilities and spa. As mentioned the hotel is not the newest one, but is very well mantained and kept. If you are going for one night I recommend to visit Pizzaria Pavarotti or Ølluminati that are in walkable 10-15 minutes distance. We will definitely come back. Thanks again !

Charming hotel by the lake. The rooms (we had 2) were spacious and nicely decorated with Danish furniture. Great views over the lake from the breakfast table. We enjoyed the spa with indoor swimming, an outdoor hot Jacuzzi, a Viking shower (cold water bucket), a sauna, and a steam bath (pic from our hotel room shows the outdoor spa facilities). It turned to a rainy day, so heading to Mønsted Kalkgruber (lime mines) was terrific and one of the highlights of our tour. Endless caves with magical light. Kids and adults loved it.

Caulking at the spa's showers needs renewing, but they always do after a few years when the mold protection wears off. Considering that's our only "complain," things were quite nice.

All aspects of the hotel were top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant twice and we had breakfast three mornings where the quality of the food and the staff were great. Finally, the location for our visit was brilliant with 5 minutes walk to the centre of town. Not to mention a fantastic lakeside location for great walks, runs and cycling.

Very poor WIFI reception in the room and intermittent at times. On the sunday when I returned to my room the water was off and I was informed that there would be none for at least an hour. Having completed a walking event I wanted a shower. There was also no use of the pool or spa facilities during this time.

I used to live in Viborg 35 years ago and the Golf Hotel was the place to stay back then. It is very nice however the rooms are quite dated and they could make more of their lakeside spot. Staff were helpful and kind and the food was great. An easy walk into town.

The hotel is situated in a fantastic location! The staffers were friendly. Beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was. Also, I absolutely loved the wellness area and the gym. Both spaces had long opening hours, they were fully equipped! Enjoyiny the jacuzzi outside was outstanding!

The bathroom wasn't clean enough on our check-in. In the corner we found some hair, also, there was some dust in the room's facilities such as kettle.

The staff is super nice and friendly. Breakfast - very good. I would add a little bit more as a 4* hotel, but yet, a very good breakfast. Location - free big parking whoevere comes with car. 10 min away a supermarket if someone needs.

Room - outdated, and needs small repairs. Bed - wasnt that comfortable. Swimming pool - small, dirty, and super cold (jakuzi was awesome under the sky) Restaurant - I think is very pricy, but tasty dishes.

price/quality is in balace! the spa zone is clean and we were lucky to be just us there! food at tge restaurant was good and the breakfast is nice and have sugar free options. rooms are quiet and comfortable.

I think the hotel could do a bit better, bleaching the tiles on the bathroom once a year or changing the shower telefon when it gets old. the fridge was smelly as well…

Great location, next to the lake. Useful to have a swimming pool on site. Staff friendly and helpful.

Wifi reception in the room was poor - we needed to go to reception to access this reliably. Limited seating in reception area - at times we wanted to use lounge seating but this was full.
