The grounds are beautiful, it is kept very clean. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The buffet food was amazing!

For a 5 star this needs updating. The rooms were tired and one of us had a leaky bathroom toilet sink and ceiling that they fixed. The Asian restaurant was not high quality enough for a la carte. We had a dinner on the beach and one of us was vegetarian. We told them this when booking and said no meat no fish and then they brought out chicken ravioli that was replaced by veggies and salmon. If you choose to be vegetarian or vegan this wouldn’t be the best choice unless you are ok with buffet every meal. They need to have a vegetarian option on the menus marked clearly. If you want clear Caribbean waters this hotel doesn’t have the blue clear waters as the bay is murky.

I love everything, Servers like Buenaventura and Johan do a great service. Exceptional service. And I Love the entertainment crew, they make me feel super Special, Mickey is a great person with great personality like all of them. My Name is Ricardo Fuentes from Puerto Rico.

Too many flies in the buffet area, the other thing was the TV in room 54217, problems because I saw the TV with bright lines. Little things like the controller didn't work and sometimes I would report it to be fixed, the jacuzzi was fixed instantly because it kept emptying.

The staff is awesome!! Should check about the weather with the staff, they need to provide another kind of uniforms like bermudas because is too hot 🥵 and make them sweat and that’s normal but not fair for them.

The buffet air conditioning needs repairs ASAP. We need to decide to go another place because it was not appropriate and may damage the food.

Everything was 5 star, I can not fault this hotel in anyway, from arrival to departure everything was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful with lovely comfy pillows and four poster beds, they are cleaned daily and everything is immaculate. Food choice was fabulous, with A La carte Restaurants of various choices all serving quality food and with top notch waiting service, The Buffet was also 5 star, lots of choice and elegantly laid out with waiters filling your glasses up constantly. The wine was nice and the bar choice was amazing throughout the various bars and restaurants, serving good quality imported drinks, and good quality wine. Plenty of areas to sit, undercover and in the sunshine, bars, lobby areas and just pretty little canopy covered areas. There are 2 pools with plenty of sun beds and both with pool bars, additionally they offer food at lunch time on a snack trolley. I visited in May, there was a nice amount of guets and it never felt crowded. Beach is beautiful.

Staying at bahia bouganville adults only was an expirience like no other, the views, the daily activities and the amazing shows from the property are just worth your stay. The meals and cocktails offered by the all day buffet and the ala carte restaurants were an international expirience for the taste buds. Of course lets not forget the exceptional kind staff who were there to help us around the clock , teach and share the true expirience of how the dominicanos live in this lovely island. Over all loved it and will come back.

staff and facility was amazing

the food was okay, lots of it but bland in the buffet. the dinners you have to book asap for a restaurant. I was only there for 3nights 4days and I could only get a dinner reservation on the last night because it was all booked up. the one night we did get the last reservation for 9:00 and was at the steak house, the meat was amazing but the sides were cold.

The location itself, the entertainment opportunities, the size of the room, the food (buffet and a la carte restaurants). The lobby bars make good cocktails. Available buffet on the beach. Nice garden view, friendly staff. Powerful AC, although we've rarely used it.

If you are looking for the Caribbean white sand and blue / turquoise waters, this is not the place. The sand layer is very thing (it looks a bit as an artificial beach ) and it's brown. The towels can be cleaner. The fridge is not always filled back with what you've already used (plenty of water, though). Make sure you pack something against mosquitos. Poor wifi on the beach.

The grounds were beautiful and although not huge very nice for walks. Liked the idea of two wonderful pools one for louder fun activities and one for those looking for quiet relaxation with both serving good drinks. The beach and water is not “pristine” but still very nice with warm water, modest waves, clean sand, many shady palms and ample lounge chairs at pools and beach.

One cannot compare this beach at LaRomana to the Bavaro beach at Punta Cana but it’s still a nice beach.
