the location is ideal, the staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic!

i booked a holiday for three people and was very careful to reserve a room that sleeps 4, but when we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room with one king bed for 3 adults to sleep in. The front desk promised to send us another bed but it never arrived. Instead the hotel changed our room to two double beds (smaller than a queen) … so our family spent 10 days in paradise with me and my husband in separate beds and our 17y old son slept on a bench. Also, we only ever got 2 of anything- cups, glasses, towels, even though we specifically requested a room for 3 adults

Beautiful property, convenient shuttles, buffets, shows, quick response to any problems. We really enjoyed most of everything!

I would have rated this resort excellent overall, had it not been for the front desk staff and the resort website. Upon arrival, we waited a very long time for check in. Many of that staff stood around and did nothing while watching the waiting guests. They were unfriendly and presented a very uninviting first impression of the resort. Before our arrival, I called the resort. The person that answered hung up on me twice. The website was often non-functioning and questions went unanswered.

It was very nice and convenient that we could use the Bavaro pool, Grand Punta Cana pool, AND the main pool at the beach. The trollies were very convenient in taking us to and from the beach especially since it was a bit of a walk from our room. There was a lot of entertainment. Live music every night at the lobby with long hours, sometimes karaoke, tropical night, and white night party at the beach was very entertaining. The rooms and the resort overall were very clean and well maintained. The food was amazing, lots of variety. There were culture nights at the buffet including, Spain night(paellas, seafood, etc), Mexican night (tacos, quesadillas, nachos, etc), Japanese night (sushi, yakitori, tataki, etc). The lobby front desk staff, bartenders, and housekeepers were very nice and friendly. The entertainment at the pool and beach area were very inclusive and varied.

Some of the rooms were under construction and I believe we got one of the old ones, which was small, not much lighting, and no body mirror. My biggest worry during this trip was the staff; most of them were friendly, but some were rude and pushy. I stayed with my 2 girlfriends and the waiters at the a la carte restaurants, pool entertainment staff, and the trolly drivers were constantly asking us to leave the resort with them and party. One night, a driver even asked us if he could come to our room with us. If it was once or twice in jokingly manners, we would have thought it was silly, but it was constant and they were making us uncomfortable. We did have a great stay overall, however, the staff need to be picked carefully and trained better.

How spacious and diverse was! THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING!!! The frozen margarita was top notch!! The staff were so nice (shout out to Guillermo who helped us with our bags, 10/10!!!)

I know its difficult to control but there were way too many mosquitoes, in the rooms on the first floor, in the buffet and the lobby, we even had to change rooms because our kids are allergic to mosquitoes bites. Also, I know they are going through renovations, but there were areas with paint peeling off, the tables at the buffet not in their best shape, etc

The buffets are incredible. We reserved nightly ala carte dinners, all at different restaurants which was incredible. I used the app to book dinner reservations ahead of time, but when we upgraded, I had to redo them. There was no way to cancel a dinner reservation if you changed your mind, however, we just showed up (without reservations) at two restaurants, and they graciously let us in. The two excursions we booked through the hotel were excellent, and we felt safe. This is a lovely resort, and well-kept. Transportation to and from resort worked well as I booked that ahead of time.

Paying for this booking was different from what I was used to which concerned me, but it all worked out. Many staff do not understand English, so it would be nice if there were maps posted with "you are here" to make it easier to get around the very large resort. Check in process was extremely slow, but that is island life. We did decide to upgrade at a nominal cost which was nice.

Customer service was excellent . Jaime at checking in/ out counter was exceptional , very jovial and friendly. He made our stay good as he was very informative. I also will like to say Ishmael was also exceptional he helped us with our luggage and he help us well! Carlos at the buffet was also exceptional as he also got us.. overall it was great. Thanks to everyone who made our stay worthwhile.

We loved the staff at Bahia! They were so kind and accommodating and really made our stay! The resort was beautiful and really worth the amount of money we paid. The a la carte restaurants were fantastic! The rooms were a little dated, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool was beautiful, the beach was clean and had plenty of seating. We never had to wait for anything or lift our fingers for anything. Our bar tender at the pool was amazing, as were our waiters at the restaurants. The excursions through the resort were great as well. We would definitely come back again to stay, we didn’t want to leave!

The food at the buffet was just okay - it was hit or Miss but I expect that in foreign countries. One day the line for the buffet wrapped around the Lobby but that only happened once. The beds were kind of hard but still got a good nights sleep. The wifi was spotty everywhere but our room but that wasn’t a huge issue.

The beach, pool and room at Bahia Fantasia were impressive along with service at buffet.

Two things could be better. First, I paid for Bahia Principe Grand and during check in was told my access was limited unless I upgraded for $320 more. They will not mention this upfront and it created stress which should never occur on a vacation. Second, I drink top shelf alcohol and was told I could not get that even after offering to pay extra! I was told buy the bottle for $110 USD or nothing by Nathaniel the bartender. Ruined my night. The weird thing I haf no issues on days 1-3 getting what I wanted. Don Julio anejo which is so.ewhat basic in thestates.

The room was bigger than expected, bed very comfortable, good size for bathroom. Pools were amazing, big and not overcrowded, spent most of the time at the pool near the beach. Drinks and food plenty and very very good. Staff was amazing and attentive all the time
