Our biggest gratitude goes to the staff who were always ready to help, especially in the restaurants. All of them were hospitable and humble.

The furniture in the room needs upgrading.

Stayed 5-12 May 2022 with family; booked though booking.com Stayed at Bahia Principe earlier in Mexico and had a great experience; therefore decided to stay at one of the Bahia in Punta Cana. Excellent experience at the Esmeralda. You have access to some of the other Bahia Principe hotels facilities located adjacent to Esmeralda. Food and staff were amazing. Make sure you book the à la carte as soon as you check in (can be done in the front lobby either on the self-service computer or the desk). We stayed 7 nights and were only able to get into 4 à la carte. Pools and the beach are really clean and do get busy during the day; but we always managed to find a spot. We stayed in a Junior Suite Deluxe; very clean and spacious overlooking the pool. Would recommend Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda to others. We booked an excursion - at one of the poolside booth – a day trip – that included Sea Aquarium, Swimming with Sting Ray, Snorkeling (more of a swimming with a mask on and not much to see lol ) , Underwater walk and a stopover at one of the natural pool site.

Everything was good

The food was great. We had lunch at the buffet and dinner at M.E.A.T. and El Olivo. Every dish was to everyone's expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The space and surrounding areas are very beautiful. Lots of vegetation!

Maybe having more shading areas around the pools (similar to the ones at the Fantasy resort). One more thing, particularly in our room (92015), the bathroom floor is not anti-slip --that is a hazard

The Staff was incredible. Joselito and the entertainment team went above and beyond to make it fun and interesting. Great for families. Didn't see people going overboard drinking and the activities were reaching every age. Several kids friendly options in the complex by the way. Great service all around. The buffet and the pool bar were awesome. Cold beer, variety of drinks. Wilkins, Rodolfo, Daniel, Luis and Teresa are friendly, provide a quick service and are always smiling. A great surprise: the buffet food is a better than expected for a resort. They kept it clean, organized and well staffed.

The room was a little outdated and at this time of the year, lots of seaweed in the beach. That didn't disrupt our stay. It was a great experience anyway.

Staff was very friendly! Food was delicious. Pools were so clean. The entire property is gorgeous. Very well organized buffet. Very good service. We really enjoyed our time there.

Some small things: Seaweeds on the beach aren't cleaned up well. Traveling to the main gate to catch an Uber was troublesome. Phone in the room didn't work.

The property was nice. Staff worked hard to keep it clean.

The rooms were very dated and in need of deep cleaning and make over. The bed is hard. The shower grout and calking looks disgusting. The power went and electrical plugs in the room are limited.

beach and pools are amazing ,shower bathtub was great ,staff are nice and kind I can recommend this hotel .I cant wait for next time ..You can find 24 hours food , meat varieties and fish varieties were amazing…

rooms should be a more cleaner and well maintained…

I was really pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our weeks stay here. It was clean, the pools were well taken care of. The restaurants and buffets were high quality foods. The attention and service was top notch. The shows were entertaining. There was something for everyone, traveling with my family that was important to me. The landscaping and overall cleanliness was immaculate.

The rooms need better lighting and the beds are super firm, but we don't come on vacation to stay in the room. We had a little trouble understanding the beach towel situation but another guest explained it to us. Remember to return your towels upon check out otherwise you will pay for them!

I loved the resort, it was great, the room service were very nice, and every staff member was welcoming. The pool area was fantastic, the beach’s sand and view were very beautiful, i would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a place to relax and enjoy with family and friends. I give it 4 stars!

Everything was great, no complains at all, I would visit again!

I am a big fan of the Bahia Prinicipe hotels and try to stay with them as much as possible and depending on the location. So far, the service was excellent (exactly what they are known for), the best drinks & food by far and the biggest resort grounds I have ever been to (you have access to the surrounding sister Bahia Prinicipe hotels, I think they are a total of 4 in the area). You have to try the excursions! We went to the Catalina Island and it was THE BEST!!!

It is a bit dated and my door had issues locking. Be sure to remember to keep key card away from your cell phone! The beach does have seaweed but I hear pretty much all of Punta Cana beaches have seaweed.
