The beach. Breathtaking. Shallow, without waves. Perfect for anyone. The rooms are gorgeous. The food is very good on most restaurants. Especially at the main one that serves breakfast as well. The Indian restaurant is also a must. The staff are the best staff ever. The fire pits with the sofas to chill out. By far the best gym ever. Overall an amazing experience. Good job to everybody, from the person who designed it, to the managers and the workers. Bravo bravo bravo

It's far from the airport

Beautiful hotel. Not too big, but enough to wander to different areas. Staff was super nice. Room spacious and clean. Pool area was awesome. Food was all very good. We loved the Club cafe and lounge. I loved the covered seating options at the club pool.

I wish you could buy a day pass for the spa. Especially when it’s not as busy in the hotel. The food was very health conscious, lots of great fitness options and not having access to a sauna/steam room (even for pay) is a miss. They could use more entertainment at night. Not every night. But literally everything closes down at 11. It would be nice to have a night or 2 a week with an option to dance/socialize later. Other resorts do dancing on the beach or small dance club options.

Upon entry the staff was very friendly, our room was ready early and the welcome cocktail was delicious. The room was spacious and clean and our location was quiet. The pool was gorgeous and refreshing. PLENTY of chairs. The beach is also a private short walk and there were many chairs. The staff was phenomenal- mayreni and Alfred really made you feel remembered. Also had a great sense of humor. The activities were nice, we didn’t do many but that was just a personal choice. The gym had just about everything- we didn’t use it much because we were trying to just relax. All the restaurants were clean and accommodating to allergies. I liked the lunch grille by the pool daily. We tried just about all of the restraints. Italian and Caribbean were our favorites. Cocktails were nice at the pool, restaurants, and bars. We rented a cabana which was very comfortable. Overall a very very nice stay.

The lunch options at the pool were minimal unless you went inside to east but that required full clothing attire. The Ziva side had simpler food for allergies- lunch was all premade on the Zilara side and no substitutions for wraps etc. Honestly the service at the cabana was the worst service we only saw her once for drinks. But you can walk or swim to the bar. Didn’t catch her name but it was not the lovely mayreni. We did have some drink ingredients go out of stock over the week but if you’re a picky drinker an all inclusive isn’t always the best anyways. And there was a bit of seaweed but it’s that time of year they can’t clean the ocean 🤣. The beach was clean though. None of this would prevent me from coming back

Had a swim up pool room, very clean and spacious. Was a nice to have this room but not nessassary if looking to save some money as the pools, beach and grounds are great. The food and drinks were excellent! Often the mixers at resorts are not good, but all were great here, no complaints. We were there with another couple for big birthday celebration, 5 nights.. Had a great meal at all restaurants, favorite restaurant was Journeys, sat in the rail car. The best beach I've been to in that part of the world, it was clean, no one selling you anything because it is private, and water was blue chest deep for 25ft from the shore with no merky grass spots. Staff were super attentive and friendly. It is one of the first places I said I'd go back to versus trying new resorts. I don't write reviews but felt compelled to do so here as I was really impressed.

If this is the worst thing, then....not too bad! The only thing that needs to change is the buffet restaurant.... you were not able to self-serve anything, nothing, which created long wait times for a piece of toast in the bread line, and cheese in another line, and scramble egs in another, so on and so on. The food was great, but standing in four/five lines for a meal needs to change as it took 10/15 minutes to gather your meal.

An Unforgettable Stay – Truly the Best Hotel Experience! Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were incredibly friendly, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. The front desk was especially impressive – they organized everything flawlessly and made sure every detail was taken care of. The food was excellent – high quality, delicious, and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was a pleasure. The pools and the beach were simply magnificent – clean, well-maintained, and incredibly relaxing. The setting was breathtaking, and it felt like paradise every single day. This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I can’t wait to come back!

The resort was beautiful aesthetically, the rooms were well appointed and we LOVED the swim up suite! Hyatt Zilara does not disappoint.

The resort is in the Dominican Republic and while it offered an array of restaurants, there was no Caribbean restaurant with authentic Dominican food! Very disappointing. Shutters was not Caribbean in the least. That needs fixing HYATT! Also, this being a 5 star resort, doesn’t mean that every adult wants peace and quiet at night. There should be a lounge with music and dancing, reflecting the vibrancy of the island and options for those who’d like a bit of nightlife WITHOUT having to leave the resort. If that is updated, I’d return again.

Breakfast and Lunch were excellent. We loved the service buffets vs having them open to the guests where everyone’s hands are in the food. We appreciated having real glasses at the bars and not plastic. We loved the property and location. Check in process was quick and efficiently smooth. We appreciated the extra curricular activities. Beach was nice. Staff was outstanding.

We thought the dinners were below average with the exception of Tempest. We ate at all the other restaurants. We did not try the butcher because several people told us temperature in restaurant was too cold. If the dinners were better we would rate the property a 9 or 10 but the sub par dinners made our rating an 8. The dinners are what may hold us back from returning to Zilara and trying another property.

Everything. Nice beach, excellent property and facilities, excellent service, the staff was great, the spa was amazing too and the water park was fun! the food was very good. Loved the wide variety of options at the Pier, and had very pleasant moments at both, the Italian and the French restaurants. Loved the fact that had activities like the wine tasting and the Mexican night.

There should be more activities after 11 pm for adults only. Something like the Sports bar, but just for adults.
