Freedom Hostel is nestled in a picturesque building.in a great part of town. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, attentive, friendly, and helpful. I was even greeted with a cup of Egyptian coffee upon my arrival, which was such a nice touch. I couldn't believe how spacious my room was. It included a balcony and all of the essentials. There was ample natural and indoor lighting. I was also able to reserve an unforgettable trip to Giza at reception. When I returned, my laundry was waiting for me in preparation for an early morning departure. This added convenience made for a seamless experience. You could tell that a great deal of planning was put into every aspect of one's stay. The attention to detail made what could have been an ordinary stay, an extraordinary stay! I highly recommend Freedom Hostel. Besides the friendly staff, the location was perfect and there were plenty of interesting things to do and see nearby. The street was filled with local artisans, tea houses, juice bars, coffee shops, markets, and restaurants.

Freedom hostel was really enjoyable, it was a place to meet other international travelers, plan the days ahead and rest when it was needed. The staff were kind, helpful, respectful and consistently provided a solid breakfast for the day. The sleeping area had AC, was kept clean and had personal lockers to put things away. My main highlight was the foyer where people came to when they were free, there we listened to music, exchanged ideas and kept company together. Huge thank you to Eslam and Ahmed for their hospitality, which made my time in Egypt amazing!

We loved the friendly and homey atmosphere. We felt welcomed and safe leaving our luggage there for the day since we flew out the evening after our reservation. Everything in the rooms was very clean... a huge plus in Africa!

As advertised, the noise level was considerable late into the night. Our stay was during Ramadan, so the activity outside made for a noisy night. Many flights of steps provided some challenge with our heavy luggage.

I stayed at Freedom Hostel in the dorm room for a night as I was heading to Dahab. They offer very good value for money and fantastic hospitality, right from my early check-in arrival to my late check-out departure they made me feel at home and treated me super nice. The hostel is very clean, it included a delicious breakfast, and what it excelled above everything else.was their staff! So professional, kind and genuinely friendly! Thank you Ahmed

The hostel is really welcoming, from the first day we felt at home. The staff helped us from the first moment, they suggested where to eat, where to go, and we had some really nice chats with them. Everyone has a wonderful vibe, and they're really accurate; after the first 2 days the woman who prepared breakfast already knew what me and my friend would like to drink. The location of the hostel is really good, public transportation is close and easy to take and there are a lot of traditional restaurants close by where you can eat well. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Probably the best hostel I've been to in my whole life. Shukran guys, you improved our journey in Cairo. Super recommended.

The hostel was great except they don’t have the elevator. They have a comfortable bed and a very clean bathroom. The staff was so nice to me. His name is Tawil. He is a nice guy and he was so helpful that he helped me carrying my luggages before and after my stay. He also gave me some advices before visiting the pyramids. Thank you Tawil if you’re reading this. Hope everyone all have a good experience here.

Excellent! The staff were amazing (exceptionally welcoming, professional, friendly, extremely respectful, polite and helpful). The location was great at the heart of the city so options for food, transport and even landmarks in Cairo are pretty much walking distance. The room was very clean and spacious with attached bathroom. The traditional Egyptian breakfast was so tasty. I highly recommend Freedom Hostel.

Nothing! Yes the building looks run down and there are a lot of stairs but that's part of its charm 😊.

Arrived at 7am and was given a hot drink and allowed to leave our bags until check in, staff are very helpful with directions & times of musuems etc, booked 2 beds, got a room with 4 beds in it for our sole use. Lovely old building, just off a main shopping area. Breakfast was the same both days, but the home made falafal was excellant,

The hostel is on the top floor with no lift, so anyone with heavy luggage should be aware, stairwell and ornate metal work needs a good clean, but there are different people on each floor, it just makes the approach daunting

The private room ensuite was very big and confortable; The staff were friendly and helped with all information I needed, including the transfer from the airport, tours, etc. A good breakfast was offered every morning. The hostel has a great location, near the metro station, in Cairo downtown

There´s no elevator and it´s not easy to carry up the stairs heavy luggage, but the staff could help me with this situation too.

We stayed for two nights in freedom hostel & overall it was a good stay. The staff is very friendly & ensure they are helping you in best possible manner. I have booked with them pyramids tour for a day and it was done at a reasonable price. They give a complimentary breakfast in morning which was very good. The rooms were good with all the necessary amenities.

The only thing I'll like to bring up is that the hostel is in 3rd floor & can be difficult at times as there is no lift. Also the shared kitchen can be kept a little better. Again, its something that should not stop you from booking this place as the good rooms & friendly staff make everything for this 😊
