We liked how close the hotel was to the Main Street with all the restaurants and shops. Although the hotel doesn’t have parking, there is plenty in the area for free. The pool is cute and private, with seating area around (no sun beds as it’s small). The rooftop terrace has a nice view and is also spacious. The staff were lovely and friendly and showed us to our room.

The room itself was spacious and well ventilated. We could hear people in the room beside talking etc. but that could be due to our specific room. Each room is decorated to a theme, and ours had a ship’s porthole which we could not cover and there were no curtains for it. This was rather irritating as in the morning the sunlight spilled into the room very early when we wanted to have a lie in.

Margo made our holiday with all her help and support and for the wonderful Breakfasts that she provided. We ate there on two evenings and the menu was great and the food delicious - Best meals we had during our holiday! Very peaceful location and a real haven for relaxing. Perfect location in the middle of the village with other bars and restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. It was wonderful to hear that Margo uses Jamie Oliver’s tips to make a most perfect Poached Egg!! Her help with where to go and how to find beaches and local markets was invaluable!

We loved everything about our short, one-night stay at Amanhavis. We only wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed dinner at the hotel. It smelled delicious but unknowing, we had other plans. Breakfast in the morning was delightful. Margo was welcoming and so helpful, and the owners were lovely people. The hotel has so much charm and offered great comfort. It did rain while we were there, but somehow added to the charm and umbrellas were readily available for us to use while walking the charming town. We would return in a minute.

Really nothing, but we did have a rental car and although we found wonderful parking nearby, the town streets are narrow and can be tricky, as is so usual in small European town.

The hotel is in an excellent location in Benahavis within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants. On arrival we were made very welcome. Our room was the Astronomer’s Observatory and was were very quirky but had everything you required complimentary tea, coffee and a mini bar which was chargeable. We attempted to watch the stars but there wasn't many about but kids found it fun laying on the bed and watching out for stars. We enjoyed a very comfortable nights sleep. The swimming pool was a welcome relief on our arrival and the grandkids loved it. The staff made the children very welcome. We enjoyed drinks while the kids played in the pool very relaxing after a long journey from the UK. We had breakfast in the garden and Margo cooked us bacon and eggs, there was so much choice fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals meats pastries beautiful start to the day. Would definitely recommend staying in this hotel and we will stay there again in the future.

Hotel Amanhavis is a gem in Benahavis (in Marbella mountains). Interiors and patios are designed elegantly with a touch of arabic style. Our hostess (Margo) was very attentive and helpful and made us feel like we were (an arabic) royalty.

Benahavis village in the end of November was a little bit too quiet for us. E.g. several restaurants were out of business (cerrado por vacaciones). You need a car or taxi to get to the village. No public transportation - except a daily bus from San Pedro.

This is a wonderful hotel in the middle Of the Town. Lovely rooms, if a little dated, but perfect for what we wanted. Margo was so helpful and a delight to meet, making a lovely Breakfast each day and helping us with local Information and booking places for us if necessary. Thank you Margo - you provide exceptional Customer Service 🤗👌👍 We ate at the hotel once in the evening and the food was amazing and we would urge others staying here to eat here. Our room was amazing with beautiful views on all sides.

Excellent hotel, with a top notch restaurant and nice little pool built in. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming - Margo cooked up a delicious breakfast, and was very helpful with arranging a good taxi rate to the airport on departure. Bernhardt was very kind and helpful, and his recommendation to try the refreshing cava cocktail was a very wise one to go with our delicious meal - the fish in particular was great.

Breakfast excellent, had to be planned the night before. very Attentive staff. very traditional space, cosy, intimate. architecture has arabic influence so is more interesting than most.

Room was a little warm and a little dark but was very traditional. Was at the top of a single track one way road/hill. No parking nearby so you have to drive up to drop off luggage and then drive and find parking. It wasn't really a major issue but maybe for older guests?

Hosts were just fantastic - welcoming, accommodating and brought a personal touch to our stay unlike larger commercial hotels. Beds were super comfortable. Absolutely fantastic value for money. Highlight - the food in the restaurant was spectacular and a reason to return in its own right.

Given how good the dinner was, it was a shame we could not experience breakfast as we had an early check out.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and quirky. From the moment we arrived to our departure the service was excellent. Staff so friendly and welcoming. We had a meal on our last night and it was amazing. I cannot wait to be staying at Amanhavis again. We want to thank Berkhardt and his team for the hospitality shown. Love from Laurence and Lisa xx
