Location was fairly good, about a 30 minute walk from the train station and about 15 min from the bus stop. There was one staff member who did not speak English but was friendly and willing to work with the little Spanish we knew, the other staff members were able to speak English and were very friendly. Clean, accommodating, and nice views.

I noticed they did not sweep in the bathroom the entire time we were there, however the rest of the room was very clean. The elevator was a bit slow, but it did have to go all the way to the 7th floor, so fair.

i was apprehensive about staying in this hotel because it had some bad reviews. Most of the reviews were either very bad or great which was puzzling. I booked it because it was the only hotel available in the center of town. I was delighted to find that this hotel is great. All my fears were allayed when I entered my warm, comfortable, light-filled room. The sun was pouring in and I had a view of the nice little plaza at the front of the hotel. There was a large, tiled bathroom with a bathtub, The hotel decor is pleasant with a lot of lovely pantings and bits of antique furniture. The roof area is amazing. Part of it has a roof with tables, chairs, a bar, and a bathroom. The other part is open decking. The view of the Cathedral and mountains is fabulous. The hotel is in a great location - in the center of the old town - close to all the important sights. It is a tall thin hotel with about 3 rooms on every floor. There are 8 floors (inluding the roof) Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have liked coffee in the room, as is usually the case in the UK and US, but there is a coffee machine downstairs in the lobby. The coffee cost 1 euro and was free in the morning. I don't know if that is always the case. This hotel is great and I feel lucky that I got to stay there. I particulary appreciated that it was so warm because my rental house in Granada is very cold. This is February so heat is important. The Xauen hotel deserves a much better score on Booking.com.

Staff were very nice& helpful. Location was great. Bed was super comfortable. Rooftop view was great.

Bathroom had no window & no extractor so got very hot. Air conditioning is not allowed until june so room was hot.

Hot drink facilities in room. Would have been willing to pay more for breakfast if drinks were not in vending machine and a little more choice. Surprised there was no bar but one next door was very good.

Perfect location - walking distance from the city bus station, and you walk through a plaza with shops and restaurants. Close to the cathedral. The room was great. A huge comfortable bed, a posh bathroom with a bidet. The breakfast was self serve and a nice simple buffet. AC unit in the room worked fine, which was needed on a hot afternoon. Lots of tapas places just outside the front door, and people stay out until 2 am. AC unit helped provide white noise to block out the voices. Roof with a great view!

The only thing that didn’t work was the wifi signal died after you left the reception area.

Good location for historic centre and cafes. Hotel now has its own indoors parking zone nearby. Lift useful, especially to 8th floor rooftop for fantastic view and outdoor seating. Room comfortable. Good coin coffee machine in lobby.

Check in took rather a lot of computing and time. Stale smell cleared in the bedroom with open window but not from the wardrobe. Shower could benefit from modernising. Parking a little pricey.

Not enough personal staff service. Reception excellent but very few other staff, too much reliance on self service machines.

The position of hotel is in the centre. Everything is reachable easily and quickly.

The walls are too thin. Basically I could hear everything from the neighbouring room, even quiet talk.

I loved the helpful staff and the close proximity to many places. Perfect. Location if I say so.

The calefactor wasn't working. The bathroom was kind of horrible. The curtain was outside the bathroom, so all the floor got wet when I showered.

Fantastic location. Beautiful roof terrace overlooking cathedral. Large spacious room with windows that opened, but double-glazed to keep noise out when closed. Lovely details like good lamps, Gaudi like stair rails, thoughtful presentation. Drink machine in foyer. Friendly efficient staff and can leave luggage.

Bed was too hard and uncomfortable for me, but it's personal preference.
