I was travelling with my grown up daughters and it was the most comfortable of all the hotels in terms of accomodating us as a three. The extra single bed they put in was a proper bed (we have had uncomfortable sofa beds etc for the rest of the trip). The room was a generous size so the extra bed did not feel too intrusive. The style of the hotel is moderm and it is well designed. The car park was very handy, although it does cost extra per night to leave the car there. The breakfast was buffet style and good.

The location could have been better. It was a 10/15 minute walk into the historic centre - which isn't too bad, but it's not a very attractive or pleasant walk as it is along a main road and surrounded by 70's tower blocks. However, we did feel safe.

The location is near the center of town and about 800metres from the old city. There is parking on site for a cost , but the parking in the street was free and as we arrived on a Sunday the car was parked in front of the hotel for 2 day without charge, Bonus. We had dinner in the Hotel and chose the lobster which was excellent.

The breakfast buffet is average at best and you get the feeling the Hotel is more geared towards catering for Bus tours. There were bus full that arrive while we were there and they eat in a separate dining room.

We only stayed for one night to visit beautiful Lugo. The Mercure created a bit of a contrast to the medieval city, but offers spacious rooms with modern interior. We liked the open bathroom and the large bed. The breakfast was super nice and sumptuous. The staff very helpful and friendly. We may not have required the parking garage, but it was convenient and so we didn’t regret to have reserved it. Close to the old town, less than 10 minutes walking distance.

Really, everything was great.

The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful and they will clearly do anything to please the customer. The hotel design was nice and the room and bed were comfortable. The location was great, conveniently situated very close to the walled Casco Viejo. The onsite parking is another plus. Although this hotel did not have a gym, they have an agreement with a great local gym just a 5 minute walk away, which offers day passes at a really affordable cost.

Superb hotel .. modern yet cozy .. clean and comfy everywhere , very friendly and helpful staff. On the edge of town , quiet area yet 10-15 min walk to the center. Definitely recommend and would come again .

The breakfast was okay... I really appreciated a staff member that took the time to find a microwave to heat up some food that we purchased outside of the hotel. This was not expected nor required but I was very pleased with the staff.

Parking as a occupant is 15 Euro per day... a little expensive based on my experience

This was a great hotel! Modern, clean, and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to welcome and take care of us. Breakfast was good. Rooms were quiet and roomy. Everything was tip-top. Short walk into the center. Paid parking in the garage or free parking across the street.

Coffee in the room is not essential but is always a nice touch.

I just want to comment high service and help from the people who work in this hotel. Especially on the day of 8th of October. I was coming with my dog for surgery, and guys on the reception were very helpful. They were helping with all the requests always smiling and everything was very easy.

The only problem is coffee. It was terrible. You need to refresh the machine or to teach bartender how to do it.

The breakfast was good. But the best thing about the hotel was the restaurant. Superb top class food. Bear in mind its difficult to find a good restaurant in Spain (unless in big city): most are bars and cafes. Location was good- 15 min walk to the walled city part. Car park is part of the hotel (underneath) and you can pay as part of the bill - abut 16 E a night. Free parking on the road but it was a hire car so... Nice big room. Fridge with snacks and beverages.

Small admin error - double bed instead of twin - but they fixed it. Staff very always pleasant and helpful.

Unbelievably helpful and friendly staff. They do everything possible to help. Amazing hotel, clean and rooms are spacious and quiet. After a long day on the Camino, it was a real treat to stay in this hotel. We loved it and we will come back one day. Thank you to all the staff for your genuine care.
