The kindness of the staff at the reception, very helpful and willing to make your stay very pleasant. We had to check out early the day we left the hotel and they offered us a box lunch to compensate for the breakfast of that day, It was a very nice gesture! Also that morning waiting for our taxi to the airport, the attention of the receptionist was also special, he also offered us coffee while we were waiting and was a very special moment. Thank you! The hotel is near the central station and walkable to restaurants and shops. The room was very nice and the bed comfy. The bathroom was excellent with hydromassage.

Everything was special, the only thing was the thickness of the wall, practically you hear anything outside the room.

Beautiful hotel with parking garage below (very much appreciated but it is tight maneuvering!). Breakfasts were fabulous. Staff professional, friendly and helpful. Location is perfect - easy walk through park to historic center, and near a somewhat trendy street for cafes and bars. Also an excellent self service laundromat is across street and down one block, so our mid-trip laundry wash was convenient and efficient (great dryers - two loads completely done in less than an hour). So glad we stayed here - highly recommend this hotel. We stayed three nights.

Nothing - perfect stay

It's definitely worth the value. We stayed for just one night to explore Oviedo, but we truly enjoyed it. Upon check-in, we upgraded to a room with a tub and we were pleasantly surprised to see how it was designed - as if a walk-in closet with separate shower, toilet, and a nice tub with a glass window to the bedroom. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable, you don't wanna get out of this bed. The overall decor is very pleasant, nice colors. The restaurant onsite has a good variety of choices, the ambience is very nice, and the staff was very courteous and polite. The breakfast venue was great as well, with many options to choose from. The location is nice, close proximity to the old city and center. A very pleasant experience!

The tub easily overflows and floods entire bathroom floor.

Good location close to downtown San Francisco Park, retail and restaurants. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Nice to have a basement parking garage. Breakfast was an abundant buffet with many selections plus custom made egg dishes. Large indoor dining room. Coffee was dispensed by machine which offered a variety of choices but only one cup at a time and both machines were constantly serving a 1-3 person line. Breakfast staff was friendly, helpful and hard working. Loved the bread selection and the abundant fruit. All was fresh and tasty. Modern bathroom plumbing. Lighting in the room would allow reading a book at night (so rare in hotels). Plenty of electrical wall outlets (also rare in EU). Strong WiFi. Quiet 5th floor room even though it fronted the street.

Under elevatored but clean, well lit stairs. Garage has only one electric charging station. Not enough. Guests get 6 hours of charging for free each day (parking is 18euro per day) but sadly some guests don’t care if they stay in the charging spot for 24+ hours. Barcelo needs to add charging capacity and manage selfish guests’ bad habits. The front desk has security cameras in the garage so why not charge 50 euros after 7 hours? Spain generally has insufficient car charging stations (just like the US). Barcelo Oviedo does provide the charging cable so pesky adapters are not needed. Hertz does not provide adapters with their car charging cables. Don’t ask me how I know.

It was a really stylish hotel inside whilst keeping its historic facade outside. Rooms were simple and contemporary. Staff were professional but welcoming from reception to bar and restaurant staff to housekeeping. We loved our two night stay here and would recommend the hotel. We would recommend the restaurant. Food was excellent as was the service.

We have stayed in a few Barceló hotels and air conditioning seems an issue. We would have given this hotel a 10 had our air conditioning worked properly. We had none on our last night which resulted on uncomfortable night for us.

We were hiking the Camino de Santiago and wanted somewhere nice to stay in Oviedo for 1 night. The staff at the hotel were very good, the rooms were clean and comfortable with good quality bedding and the breakfast was excellent. It is a good, pleasant & comfortable hotel but I am not sure it is worth the B&B rate of Euros 211 per night for a double room.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the city centre but that was fine for us. We were not that keen on Oviedo city centre.

The room was clean, large, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. We liked this property and location so much that we added 3 nights to our stay. We ate at the restaurant twice because the food was delicious. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were very courteous, helpful, and professional. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Access from garage to reception was by stairs and the. Lift . Difficult for us elderly carrying up out cases . Access at front of hotel totally not disabled or elderly friendly . So many steps . Breakfast was ok but the hot buffet was almost non existent and what was there was cold . Poor for the hotel standards .
