We stayed in one of the ocean front Penthouse suits. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.The hotel amenities like bikes and beach towels were nice to have. We used the top deck area, which had a great view, where you could have a drink and watch the sunset. The hotel was right on the beach and within walking distance to lots of restaurants and an easy short bike or walk to Santa Monica. We were on our honeymoon, and the hotel arranged to have a complimentary bottle of wine in the room on ice when we arrived. Nice touch.

The location right on the beach in the heart of Venice is unbeatable. The newly renovated property is clean, historic, yet maintains a bit of a cool funky beach vibe. The staff was nice. Parking is a breeze. Didn’t get to use them- but bikes, beach towels, chairs etc. are all available. The coffee place downstairs is superb. I was upgraded on arrival to a PH room that made a work trip feel like a tropical vacation!

Everything. I really hope we can return one day, the experience we had at the Venice V Hotel was top-to-bottom perfect. We were upgraded to the penthouse suites, and we had a room that we felt like it was our home. The interior decorations were beautiful, the bathroom (and the Aesop shampoos and soaps) was brilliant. The building is beautiful, and going outside straight onto Venice Beach every day was like living a different life for a brief moment. The staff was extremely nice, the bikes are the best thing you can do to go up and down the coast... There's nothing missing. If you're going to Venice Beach, go here.

Excellent comfort and location in Venice. You can borrow a bike and a beach towel. There’s a coffee machine in the room and lots of restaurants around for breakfast, lunch and diner. I also liked the style of the hotel and the ambiance. Loved the view from the room.

Don’t forget to ask for room cleaning before 2pm…

It was trendy, beds were comfortable and the view in the studio was amazing. Pressure and water temp was perfect. The vallet were amazing shout out to Chris! Also the reception staff was great and way friendly and informative.

The TV was difficult to manage in the studio but we were able to get Netflix on in the bedroom. The only complaint was the slow elevator and at times the noise from the outside was loud, but by 9:30 it was mostly quiet.

The location, right on the beach. The parking lot guys were friendly and professional. The front desk personnel were so friendly and helpful.

We liked everything. There wasn't anything that stood out that would qualify as a problem. The cost is a little high but I'm sure the rates are competitive for that area. One small little problem would be that you could put another stool or folding chair in the room with a small table.

I really liked the room - it was small and cozy, but clean and with a nice elegant touch, with a bonus to see the beach and the ocean directly from the bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and as a solo female traveler, I do want to highlight that I felt safe.

The room was a bit small, and the weird part was that that the toilet was split into two, and there was little privacy for someone taking a shower (in case you are traveling with a friend).

Loved the historic hotel and our bungalow they looked out onto the beach on the penthouse floor. The staff was so attentive and courteous. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower head was lovely and the water was hot. I really enjoyed the coffee shop in the morning that is part of the hotel.

Nice hotel at a nice spot in Venice beach. Good atmosphere and great staff. Will fully recommend for people who like sunsets ,the beach , skating, biking and rolling.

I think the property may need thicker windows if possible as there is some noice coming from the lively area of venice.

We were upgraded the the PH with sea views. Really cool room with a vibe that suited the Venice Beach location. Staff were helpful and valet parking meant that the car was secure overnight. Excellent location for Venice Beach.

There was a very bad stench of marijuana and urine outside the hotel and sad scenes of homeless people.
