My flight into DFW was 4 hrs late so I didn’t arrive until 2am. I communicated with the hotel and they were very accommodating, which I appreciate. The hotel itself is modern and clean with high-quality towels and bedding; the rooms are also spacious. They also have a surprisingly well-equipped work-out space with new ellipticals, treadmills, dumbbells and kettlebells. I didn’t eat breakfast but the coffee was delicious, probably the best hotel coffee I’ve had in years.

The hotel is just off the hwy but it takes a few short turns to get there. The street names can be confusing (like Walnut Hill Lane and Walnut Ridge), but GPS guided me there without any issues. Considering the hotel’s quality and value, I didn’t mind the slight detour.

The entire facility has been beautifully refurbished to the extent you might think it is new. It is airy and light, and colors coordinate everywhere. It felt quite high end. Our room, too, was spacious and comfortable.

The downside was in the bathroom. Showering was an adventure - the water temp seemed to be on a cycle of hot to medium to cold to medium to hot... There was also no cold water for the sink, which we reported to no avail. A minor inconvenience was the lack of drawers to store anything. I realize that may not matter to everyone, but in our case even two smaller drawers would have been helpful.

Breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, french toast, potatoes and more! I liked how spacious the room was, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were just right, the facilities were clean, and the ambient was quiet. It is within a reasonable walking distance to the train stop to go to the airport and to go downtown. Overall, a good place to stay.

For the breakfast, I only wish they had a bit more fruits like watermelon or melons. Also, I didn't like the fact that i could not close off the curtains on the window. They would not go all the way through, so I could see some of the lights from outside lighting up the room. I prefer to sleep in a very dark setting because i'm sensitive to lights.

What stood out about this hotel was how well designed the rooms were. There was comfortable seating, office area, ample table space, and comfortable sleep area. It was far more functional and comfortable than most hotel rooms. We will definitely choose this hotel next time we visit Dallas!

The breakfast was lackluster with a lot of bread items. After the first day, we didn't bother with the scrambled eggs.

I have stayed here before and had a few issues with the hotel. This time I had none of that. When I first walked in, I could smell the freshness of the room. This time staying here, I got to explore more of the area. It is not far from food and shopping. I will be choosing this hotel every time I come to Irving!

This is a great hotel. It is a little pricey but will choose this hotel any day of the week. I would say they could keep breakfast out a little longer for those like me who sleep in past 9:30am. Why not 10:30am or even 11.

Location worked for us. Breakfast and breakfast staff were nice. Price was right. The laundry was especially nice, easy to use, and reasonably priced. Shower was extra nice also.

Didn’t like that the only ice machine was on the first floor—not convenient. Our window shade didn’t work—but we didn’t feel like packing up and changing rooms just for that. (We could have saved money on the rental car if they had a shuttle to Love Field. Looked like they did have one to DFW though.

Great location, staff, and breakfast (considering I'm a vegan, I was really pleased with the healthy vegan (-ish) choices they had. The bed was super comfy! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the location seems safe, in a good neighborhood, and close to shops, gyms, etc.

The gym could use some upgrades: - The elliptical didn't provide enough resistance; -The weights jump from 5 to 15 to 20 pounds; -The bench is ready to be changed. Wi-Fi was pretty hard to connect to and very slow (18mbps download and under 1mbps upload). I was able to get basics done but I wish it was better. There was a high-speed internet device in the room but I didn't have the extension cord for that so not sure if it does anything.

The upgraded rooms are a beauty. Looks very nice.the staff is the coolest and friendly people around. They have been so accommodating and have shown great hospitality. The breakfast is great. Wide variety of choices. The hotel is very clean and over all it's a great place it's conveniently placed by all the places im researching and so it works out. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Nicely renovated. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The bed was really comfortable and the room was quite spacious.

There's not much to dislike. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming with fewer options as compared to Hilton or Mariott, but then the comparison isn't fair. This is a value offering, and it punches above its weight class.

Great Location! Area looked nice, was quiet and felt safe. It was very clean inside and outside. Friendly staff! Soft beds and large bathroom.

One night my key card didn’t work. After 3 attempts with cards that failed. The guy at the desk finally came up to let us into our room with a key, then he returned to work on replacing our key cards.
