We LOVED our stay at Kimpton Aluna. It’s not on the beach but for us that was perfect as we wanted to be close to both the beach and downtown areas, and away from party side of the beach road. The hotel has two nice pools to relax at during downtime anyway. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable and most opened out onto the pool area or had pool views. Breakfast was nice, especially the omelettes, though coffee could be better. The tacos at lunch were delicious and catch of the day for dinner one evening was also good. There are good restaurants within walking distance. Social / happy hour every day was great, with free snacks and drinks in the pool area. A great opportunity to speak to other guests and the staff. Special shout out to Juan and Jose who made each evening great fun and provided excellent friendly service! The hotel reception staff were also very helpful sorting taxis, giving recommendations for tours, even organising hire of ATVs to be delivered to the hotel (though there also free bicycles). In particular a big shout out to the concierge Eduardo(?) who looked after us all week! Highly recommend this hotel!

Outstanding staff. Excellent location (Aldea Zama is a great place, lots of good restaurants nearby, 20 min from beach clubs, less than 10min from downtown) and parking included. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. Property cleanliness (rooms, restaurant, rooftop). Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for the money and delivers exactly what is shown on Booking.com.

The parking lot is a bit narrow, which can make getting in and out challenging if other drivers don’t park properly or if you drive a big truck/SUV. This is not a big issue, but it is good to know if you're thinking of parking a car at the property.

We liked everything about our stay at the Kimpton Aluna in Tulum. The staff were excellent, always very helpful and friendly. We loved the breakfast buffet and the meals we had in both restaurants. All the food served was delicious and high quality. The Social Hour was great and very social, we met and chatted with many of the other guests. Call out to the concierge Eduardo, he gave us many great recommendations for places to visit, restaurants for dinner and beach clubs. It's a wonderful property, well kept, with great pools and lovely spacious rooms.

Our stay was incredible. The property was beautiful and spacious, set against a jungle backdrop. We loved the options of the two pools and we enjoyed using the gym. The hotel rooms were large, clean, and comfortable with stylish decor. The complimentary breakfast was of a high standard and the food in general was delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We enjoyed the yoga class on the rooftop. We walked to Casa Sofia twice for dinner (recommended by the hotel)as it was great food and ambience at an affordable price.

We liked the location of the property but we quickly realized that a car would be needed to get around as taxis are pricey. I booked one through booking.com at Americar up the street. I only paid 88 dollars for 4 days.

For the price, location and beauty of the property it was a great price. We were 5 minutes from the beach, and a short walk to nice restaurants and shops in Aldea Zama. For guided tours such as Chichen Itza, the meeting point was the Super Akí which is a 5 minutes drive. The restaurant staff at the upstairs restaurant were very friendly. Check in was smooth and there were no hidden charges at check out.

Some of the breakfast staff were rude. Could be gaps in communication due to speaking English. Also, the shower water was never warm enough.

The room was exceptional with a terrace that reached to the outdoor pool. I especially enjoyed the staff. Upon arrival you are greeted with top notch customer service. Paola, Kenny and Edward were amazing. The facilities also had an adults only roof top pool and out door area. The bar manager Josue was extremely professional and offered suggestions about where to go in the city, which restaurants to visit outside of the hotel. The food at the hotel restaurant was also exceptional. I had both dinner and breakfast there. The waiters were extremely attentive, coffee was amazing as well as the breakfast buffet.

The parking lot as a little dusty, but that is to be expected in the jungle. If you've rented a car, be mindful, the hotel is located on a one-way street. there is a roundabout probably 200 meters away.

Staff are friendly. As a female solo traveler I felt safe. Wifi was good in my room and had Netflix as background noise, or to watch. Didn't have a balcony which I wasn't aware of but had a ground floor terrace. Outdoor space is important so this was good, and I was only there for one night unfortunately. If I was to come back to Mexico I would stay here again.

I'd have liked tea coffee making facilities in the room, but I asked at the bar for some milk and a kettle and no problems at all. Nice friendly staff.

I liked that the property looked like a tiki hut and the rooms were modern and very comfortable. The resort had two restaurants with a lot of options for food. The breakfast was included in our fees and it was good. The staff was friendly and very helpful with suggestions for places to go and helped us book excursions to the Cenotes and Chichén Itzá. I also liked that there was a U.S. dollars ATM on the property along with a peso ATM.

I didn’t have any issues and I highly recommend this resort.

The hotel itself is very nice.the location is a bit of a walk from Centro but not bad. If you want the beach you are not close but the hotel has two great pools. Tulum itself was a disappointment for us. The ruins were good but that was about it. Thank heavens for the hotel and its staff. They were a delight. Breakfast was included and delicious- you could eat from the buffet and also order a La carte. We had one meal on rooftop but it was not very good except for the short rib tacos.

Comfortable room, good AC, comfortable bed, pillows, linen. Clean throughout the resort, nice to have towels on pool chairs, very good nd bountiful breakfast, Edwardo was very helpful, front staff member who was in charge of bikes was very helpful, bike worked well, nice happy hour on rooftop deck, nice balcony overlooking pool, good location.

Was happy with facility and staff. My only suggestions, 1. Provide lights for bikes, the area where hotel is located is very dark at night. 2. Provide 2 umbrellas, one doesn’t work well for two people on a rainy night.
