Really cozy B&B, with the atmosphere and lovely smell of old wooden houses. We were a bit worried about the shared bathroom when booking this place, but everything was clean and we never had to wait. Breakfast were nothing special for that price, but okay and the breakfast room with the view is so beautiful that we really enjoyed them. Helpful staff, they even sent us our kid's hat that we forgot in the room back to our country. Possibility to use the fridge, microwave and free hot drinks, comfortable stay also with small kids. And of course, perfect location in the old Porvoo.

The upstairs room had a bit low ceiling, so we swore a few times when hitting our head into it. Also the stairs could be a bit narrow for some people, but those were things that just come with older buildings, so I don't take it as something negative. It would be great to open the breakfast room also during the day if one needs to work a bit, as there was no table in the room.

Location is perfect, apartment was nice, next to the river, breakfast was good (eventhough no warm food other than porridge like omelette/scrambled eggs etc.), good bread, croissants.. all fresh. Service was really friendly and we got fast answers when we had questions.

The apartment doesn't have separate rooms, all the beds are in the same room. Works with a family, but wouldn't want that with for an example with grandparents or friends. Maybe some dog had been in the apartment as our socks and clothes were full of hair. We were playing on the floor with our child. So maybe the rug had the animal hair. In the breakfast we got a lot of cheese, turkey and salami(which is really nice) to our table. Maybe put little bit less in the table and people can ask for more (we didn't eat so much and were worried about food waste).

It has a great location in the old town, right on the river. The bathroom is very clean.

The room had an inside window to the entrance of the house. You couldn't really see through it, but it let in a lot of light at night. They really can't put a curtain over it? It also seemed a bit dusty, my eyes and nose were itching as soon as I went into the room.

Breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable and specious, the view from the breakfast room was stunning (mornings were frosty and sunny, very pretty place to have breakfast)

Mind that this is in the old town (which is an excellent location but comes with a downside), room was on the street side and you can hear people talking loud on the street at night.

Old Town B&B Ida-Maria is a converted red warehouse. As soon as you enter the door of the B&B, you can see the river view. Although my room is not a river view room, it is very comfortable and clean. It is very comfortable to live alone. Although the toilet and bathroom are shared, But very clean. The owner is very friendly and offers a variety of choices for breakfast.

Well first of all, this place hits the sweet spot for sure, in almost every aspect you could imagine. Location is in the middle of the Old Town of Porvoo, right by the river. Hostess is welcomin' she told us all the basic information we needed to know. She upgraded our room , due lack of overnight visitors (March isn't the most popular or convenient month to travel), so that was nice from her. There is a shared shower and refrigerator, where you can find your breakfast sandwitches, orange & apple juice, and also coffee/tea. The place is quite romantic, you can see the river from the rooms, and the buildings are from the 1700s century and interior is recently renovated, so prefect mix of new and old. Nothin' is far from here. I definitely recommend this place. 9.5/10.

Sauna isn't workin' at the moment, but hopefully they can fix it. Other than that. Everything worked beautifully.

The location was perfect in the heart of the old town Porvoo and by the River Porvoo with all services, such as restaurants, shops and boutiques just close by. The flat itself was very good for a family of 4, with a kitchen of your own.

The upstairs room was really hot (it was a very hot day, too) but it would be good to have some sort of an air conditioning system for hot days. Other than that there wasn't anything else that bothered.

The place is so authentic! The hostesses were very polite and friendly. They prepared an amazing breakfast for us and we had a wonderful view by the window.

We were very pleased with our stay. I must mention that it was not crowded when we were there so we could have silence and enjoyed the place. So for us everything was more than fine.

If someone walks on the upper floor you can hear everything. A little bit cold, even though heating was maximal. Additional fee for pets was requested after I paid for the accommodation.

The localisation was really nice. In the old town, along the river. I really appreciated to eat my breakfast along water with the great view on the forest opposite, and the bridges on left and right. The decoration was basic but I had everything I needed. There was a thermostat do put the wished temperature, I wasn't cold at all. The owner was really nice and available.
