Excellent cost benefit in Miami, where prices are so high, it's possible to stay comfortable without paying much at Freehand. The staff is very kind and the room is very comfortable. The location is not the best if you're looking to go and come back from downtown, but it's possible to take the free bus Miami offers and the beach is quiet and great to relax. The hotel provides free chairs and an umbrella, which is AWESOME. Overall experience was excellent.

Amazing property! Gorgeous! Loved all of the interior and exterior spaces! The staff were lovely, especially Agus, who helped us so much throughout our stay. We loved our room! Loved the pool! Loved the two restaurants on property! Great location! Can't wait to stay here again! This place has all the vibes!!!

Parking. City parking is close. But, you have to be strategic and locals are not kind when competing for spaces. Lesson learned. If you don't need to bring a car, don't. If you do and you find a good spot, keep it. Walk, bike, bring scooters, uber, etc. But, keep your spot.

I stayed for almost 30 days. The location is perfect. One block from the beach and bus around the corner all the time going everywhere.

The bedroom i stayed in was a shared room for 4 girls. I was lucky with the girls. We had the same manners towards each other, no problems. BUT they need a deep cleaning urgently. Sometimes I was in the bedroom when the girl was cleaning and she would spend maybe 2 minutes in there. Barely cleaned anything. Most of the staff was super nice!! Just I’d say to some of them “it doesn’t hurt to answer a “hello” or a good morning” every now and then.

It was a big contrast with the previous hostel I stayed the night before. Spacious, with a nice swimming pool area to relax, a nice bar despite me not ordering anything, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. The location is not a big deal since you can take a trolley for free that takes you to South Beach within 10 min for Free. It's worth it.

Although it's easy to meet new people, its slightly remote location invites a "stay, relax and GO" dynamic. If the hostel had organised activities or excursions, then the hostel would excel because some people would stay longer at the premises or be prompted to interact more with other people, especially if travelling SOLO. It's not a big deal, but it would be a nice extra for them if they really want to excel.

Well I last visited about 8 years ago and it was a bit more homey and comfortable. And also there used to be a kitchen where you could prep your food and a continental breakfast, that I missed on this visit. It is still a very good place to stay but I feel like it is loosing its special little touches. The staff however were amazing!!! The woman who works the kitchen staff and the one who works front desk in the morning were so kind. I would like to thank them for making me feel so welcomed really they were warm kind and super helpful!!

Bring back the homey vibes and kitchen for guest

I always like the service and the relaxing atmosphere after traveling or working, also because I have learned each time a new that I will encounter great people from diverse ventures of life, chives regarding space and common areas, great food, friendly staff and safety. The staff team has always been great like the smile and diligence of Alex, the patience and anticipation of Victor, the welcoming greetings and service of Agustina, the dedication of Florence to detail and modesty, the prudence and consistent work by the cleaning and maintenance team, the cautious and permanent serenity and politeness of Security team; the radiant attitude to inspire and transcend . We all love to be served as equals in respect. Thank You. I will always want to return. Great energy all around!

I realize how comfort can be diminished by disregarding extra hands on maintenance of though clean bathrooms, tiles on showers and humid environments. Godliness is something so surreal as feeling clean and finding everything else as clean and sanitized as towels. I would like to find an air refresher in enclosed areas as well as a toilet brush.

A fab, quirky hostel with a beautiful garden / bar / pool area. Close to the beach and to some great restaurant / brunch spots as well as a grocery shop for cheaper eats. Everyone was so friendly, I made friends with all the girls in my room and chatted to lots of others at the bar. A wonderful experience, my first time at a hostel in many years and I wasn't sure what to expect but I'd happily stay there again!

It's a hostel so the shared rooms took a bit of getting used to, but actually it was great and made making friends really easy.

This is a really great place. There is an amazing courtyard with lush greenery and loads of seating. There is a pool with a disco ball over it, colorful pool floats, and surrounded by cushioned loungers. Cool lizards to observe. Chill music. Really great atmosphere, everyone is here to relax and enjoy. Great interior design in the lobby and rooms. Comfortable beds, and couches. Nice showers. There are extras too like things to take to the beach (maybe umbrellas, chairs, and towels... I forget what) and 2 hours of free bicycle use.

It’s insanely close to the beach! On the way there you’ll pass a market and a couple of sandwich shops. It’s really cheap and clean.

A communal refrigerator would be nice and a water fountain to fill bottles. A cooking area would be asking a lot but it’s an idea. They have this towel system where you only get one and if you want an extra it’s $5. Five bucks isn’t too bad but I wish you could just get another towel. However, they do provide a beach towel that you can trade.

Great location for the beach. Only a 5 min walk! There’s a supermarket just down the road that opened early until late and a 24 hr subway shop if you get hungry. Very close to bus stop which is very handy. Also make use of the free Miami Beach trolley loops from those stops too. The room was great and spacious! Beds were so comfortable. Very clean! Had a pool which looked alright. The bar was small but had lots of seating outside. There was also a club which we didn’t know about. The drinks are expensive though. One drink set me back $22! Would recommend for sure
