A pre auth was taken from my card , a third of the total bill, which I don’t have an issue with however on arrival when I paid in full , I was advised the pre auth would not be released until departure . given that the hotel had been paid in full on arrival, there was no need for them to hold onto the preauthorised amount and am still unable to access this amount of my own money even now having returned home yesterday. Such a shame as I would definitely have booked this hotel again and recommended it to friends but I’m afraid this is not good customer service or business practise and I won’t stay again for this reason .

The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean, and the location was perfect — you can easily reach everywhere by metro and bus. Everything was perfect for us.

We had specifically requested a room with a balcony, but when we arrived at the reception, we were told that it had already been reserved in advance. Once the situation was explained and there was nothing to be done, we had to switch to a room with just a window. The staff at the reception explained everything in a very respectful and kind manner. Also, the rooms were a bit cold for us.

Duquesne Eiffel is located at a prime location with Eiffel Tower and Invalides (Napolean's Tomb) a few hundred meters away. The UNESCO headquarters where I had a conference was just 400 m from the property. The metro stations (depending on the line number) are within 5-10 min walk. The bus stop is right across. Charles de Gaulle Airport is 50-55 minute drive. There are multiple restaurants nearby (30 seconds to 2 minute walk) with good ratings (4+). The rooms and the hotel in general is very clean and the staffs were courteous. The towels are replaced everyday. The front desk staff were very helpful and proficient in English. The breakfast timing is very suitable (7-10:30) and there is a reasonable spread in the breakfast menu. There is also an in-house bar. Pressing clothes can be done at the cellar where breakfast is served.

I have missed veggies in the breakfast and bidet in the bathroom.

The location of the property was brilliant. Very central to most attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a little bit dated. The hairdryer in the room is quite old and takes a long time to dry hair. Some of the fixtures and fittings require refurbishment however. Our room was lovely, however tiles were cracked, there were lumps in the bath tub and there was plaster on show in the toilet room.

The location was excellent. 5 minute walk to subway and a bus stop outside the hotel takes you to the Eiffel Tower which is also only a 15 minute walk away. The room was comfy with an exceptional view to the Eiffel Tower. The staff were very attentive to the needs of the guests and the breakfast was very good.

We paid for a room with a bath which the room had but the bath-plug was missing rendering it useless as a bath-tub. The hotel managed to find a replacement after the second night. It must be said that the manager provided us with complimentary breakfast for two mornings as well as a 10% discount for the inconvenience so thank you for that.

Second time staying at the Hotel Duquesne. Perfect location for us and a bonus when you can see the Eiffel Tower from your window, even if I had to put my head out. Top floor rooms are best but we’re full. The reception area has been decorated and refurbished since our last visit, fresh, modern and appealing. Rooms are a good size for a Paris hotel and the separate toilet and bathroom was good, we stayed in room 34. Very good water pressure in the shower and a bonus that there is a bath. Hairdryers in France are typically not very powerful so I always take my own. Clean and nicely decorated with a large firm bed. Nice and warm. Fresh towels and beds made up every day. The breakfast isn’t lavish but it has all the essentials to start your day; good coffee, cereals, pastries, sausage, bacon & scrambled egg. Toast, yoghurts, cheese, meat, fruit salad and juices. Ample storage in room, lift worked well and a few UK channels on TV for an evening which is a bonus again in a french hotel. Only observation is the security deposit taken in advance although refunded on the day you leave, simply mentioning as we weren’t aware of this when we booked. All in all we would definitely recommend and will return again

Nothing to note that affected our stay

The staff were really friendly and spoke great english. they helped us with any questions or anything we needed. The room was lovely with a big opening window and decent view. Also the breakfast was really nice with plenty of options and great price.

I Don't really have anything negative to say about the stay but if I had to say one thing it would be that the room could have been a little bit bigger but even so it was still perfectly fine for what we needed and it also had a wardrobe, tv and ensuite.

Very clean, very nice staff. Lovely breakfast, some of the best hot cocoa and scrambled eggs during my vacation. Ver safe neighborhood. Only a 15 minute walk to Eiffel Tower.

I didn’t like the bed, instead of one there was 2 twins pushed together. The blankets were separate. Me and my husband had completely separate spaces. When we rectified that my husband fell between the beds. So if you’re looking for a romantic night not the place. Otherwise a lovely place to stay.

The hotel is located near the metro and major attractions such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. There are many restaurants nearby, as well as a convenience grocery. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious with excellent service. The room was comfortable with coffee facilities, bar fridge, wine glasses, etc. All in all this is a great hotel to stay
