The cleanliness was extraordinary. Never seen an hostel cleaner AND quieter than this! Staff was helpful, common rooms always clean and amenities working. Hot water was nice and didn't take long to warm up. The toilet seat was warm, so it was a real pleasure to sit on it :) We had a double room with a private bathroom so we didn't have to pay extra for towels. Basic breakfast was also included.

The absence of a proper window, the room was quite gloomy and small. There was a window but it probably was facing an internal wall, so light wasn't coming through.

Location and easy check in and check out. Easy access to subway lines. Room facilities are adequate.

The room is a bit small from expectation and it’s a hassle to go up to 10th floor just to get water from the dispenser. Maybe I didn’t read the information, so not sure whether the info on subway exit and facilities were stated. As travellers, we will travel with big luggages, so we need the subway exit with lift or escalator. Google map stated Midosuji exit 5&6. Do not take exits. Stairs nightmare to lug the luggages.

I like the location! It locates at residential area so u can enjoy quiet environment after the city rush hours. There are also bar and food offers until 2300 so after my busy schedule i can still fill my tummy with tasty food during late night. Love the staff and guests staying in this hostel too! we truly enjoy the small yet comfy and clean room every night we sleep. we sleep well~

i think those who decide to stay in hostel should maintain good and respectful behaviours like keep your voice down when you are at the corridor and public area during night time. however these misbehaviours are responsibility of the guests so i just hope everyone who stay here can be self discipline and respect others' trip

Greatly appreciated my stay at &And Hostel Hommachi East. It is conveniently located 1-2 subway stations away from the busy Namba and Umeda areas meaning I could be near the action but also stay in a quiet neighborhood. There are many convenience stores nearby, too. The room was cozy and a bit on the small size but okay for a solo traveler. Air-conditioning was ample and I really liked the heated toilet seat in the private bathroom. Lobby and lounge on the top floor are simple but had a welcoming vibe for both local and foreign tourists. They have a list of recommended places to visit and I was able to learn about a tattoo-friendly bathhouse from their list for which I'm grateful. I'm sad to have missed the hostel activities but hope they keep those up. All in all a good option for solo or small groups traveling to Osaka :)

Mattress was a bit stiff and shower heater took a while to work, but I'm just nitpicking.

Good hostel to spend a few days at the city. While is not super centric, is close to metro lines that can take you to the different areas you need to visit. The area is okay, has a few konbinis nearby and the hostel is super clean. Small rooms, but that's how it is in Japan. The shared bathroom and shower was super clean, we had no problems whatsoever.

One of our suitcases broke down and we asked the staff how and where could we dispose of it. They didn't provided any solutions, or suggestions. The same when I asked where I could ship my luggage to the next location.

This was my first accommodation during my very first trip to Japan. I stayed in a double room which was sufficiently comfortable, and very clean. I only had a backpack and my family member one small luggage case, so there were no real issues with space, but I can see how the size of the room might pose an issue for people with more or bigger luggage cases. The breakfast provided is 'western' with bread, jams, cereal, milk, coffee, and tea available. Good standard fare. Location is generally great for the price, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly, and so too were the staff. Thanks to all the staff, and I would be glad to book again!

Official photos provided may be inaccurate as decor has changed and furniture shifted around, or maybe it was a different room or floor that I was assigned, but the room photo was not exactly the same as shown. The bathroom is accurate to the photos however. Personally this is a minor issue as my stay had been comfortable regardless.

Position is great, near the subway. The staff is very polite and speaks good english. The room was clean and very big compared to the standard. The room is cleaned for free every 3-4 days but you can pay for additional cleaning or services. Overall a positive experience, I recommend this structure.

The only downside is that our room was in the same floor as the common area and we could hear people talking and laughing early in the morning and late in the night (at 1AM). The staff should do more to ensure that people act respectfully in the common areas.

Location was excellent. Staff were helpful when we made two bookings due to a change of plans. They put us in the same room for both bookings so we didn’t have to check out in between them.

Had concerns about safety procedures. I have stayed at places where fire alarms go off and it happens sometimes. However, no emergency services were called and after a little bit everyone was just told to go back inside. Nobody who worked there did an investigation, as evident because when we asked in the morning what had happened they did not know and guessed it was someone smoking. Rather than guessing it was smoking I thought they would have tried to confirm it was not a fire and emergency services would have come to allowed us back in, as have happened at other locations when I have had fire alarms pulled. Especially when it went off twice in the one night.

Location wise, it's conveniently situated near the train station, convenience store etc. Easy access to the main touristy areas ie Dotunburi and friendly staff.

I think they could do better with the cleanliness of the room. I can see dusts on the side of the floor and on top of the table if you run your fingers . Also cleaning service should be available everyday not after 4 nights of stay (I had my own room so I wasn't sharing with anyone. I wasn't impressed with the toilet either (the wash button for cleaning stopped after the first night). Ps. They shouldn't be charging ¥200 for storage fee if you arrive early, just leaving your stuff where you're staying is given.

Staff was great. The location is pretty far from the center and you get what you pay for. On the other side the breakfast is quite shitty (bad coffee, some cereals, white bread and a couple of jams), the room doors are like an slim piece of paper (you can hear everything) and they do not clean even if you ask them (they told us they would clean on the third day as we were staying for more days but they never cleaned).
