People, service and cleanliness.

There was a shooting and murder writhing the first hour of my arrival. No patrons were involved. I believe it’s thought to have been drug dealers having a territorial dispute. There were no additional episodes like that, or even close to it. Given the gravity and fear it initially instilled in me and my partner I’d like to have been contacted by Booking.com.

Very clean resort . Very good and delicious food. Layout and landscaping is very beautiful The workers , servers and entertainment team are very friendly

The property is missing at least two elevators from the coffee shop area to the swimming pools and the beach area It is very hard for some people to use the stairs up and down especially it is the only way to go to the resort rooms Evening entertainment needs more attractive shows such as Mexican or Caribbean shows

This was my first time staying at an Riu resort and will definitely come back. The resort is beautiful. It is 45 minutes from Cancun airport which was fine for us as we wanted a more relaxing experience. The resort staff works really hard to make sure you're entertained and inform you about the activities of the day. I didn't know about all the different parties they have which was a great surprise for future visits to plan to stay longer to be able to participate in. This visit was extra special for me as on my second day here my boyfriend proposed to me with the help of the photo shoot staff at the resort. They took gorgeous pictures and the prices of the pictures were very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again. Our server Lili in the morning also set up our table extra special for our last morning with her since we shared we had just gotten engaged. Can't wait to go back!

Staff was top tier, the cleanliness was also top notch

The food was almost not edible, I lived the entire weekend exploding diarrhea into every toilet on the premises. Some of the restaurant couldn’t even fit the amount of people the hotel booked. The drinks were horrendous, alcohol choice was that as if I was a 15 year old kid who gave a crackhead $20 to get me a bottle, and he purchased a $6 handle of tequila and pocketed the other $14. The photographers made me feel like a raging homosexual, the performers and song choice actually made me run off the hotel property and into the beach just praying to be bitten by a shark or crocodile or anything that would put me out of my misery.

24hour lobby food and booze isn’t kept up with fresh food. Every time we went, the food was dried out and unappealing.

We loved the service and the water park. The food was hit and miss. Some places (steak house) were amazing, and others were pretty meh (mexican restaurant). The buffet is pretty good.

The price. In the price there is a “hotel credit” that is supposed ro be worth 900 usd but they limit you to how much you can spend on services. So, for example, we could only spend a maximum of 30 usd on a 330 massage! For the price we could have gone to a Hyatt or Hilton all inclusive.

Wonderful resort featuring a truly private beach located in a new area. The hotel corridor where most hotels are located in Cancun is overwhelmed. This is a family friendly resort featuring many specialized restaurants and 24 hours service. The staff is excellent and the hotel was built in 2018 so it's an ultra modern facility. The junior suite is spacious and the Oceanview is just out of this world. This is all inclusive and features countless amenities.

There is absolutely nothing that I did not like. The location is far from the Airport (about 45 min) and shuttle transfer is pricey. I paid $110 to get from and to the airport. If the hotel can provide a free shuttle service the. I would have rated this place 6 out of 5.

Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff.

Check in is 3:00pm but they didn’t give us a room until 3:30pm. We requested a later checkout and there was no flexibility with this. Extra frustrating since they checked us in late. Quality of food was okay. Beach felt a bit cookie cutter/very groomed and not natural.

The service at this resort was amazing, especially Sahil at the front desk who took such good care of our family, Nico, our server on the beach, and JLo, our server at breakfast and lunch each day. The gardens, the beach, the pools, and the overall layout of the resort was really nice as well, so many different places to go depending on what you felt like doing. We loved the bar/cafe with its beautiful view and how it offered all the drinks we needed throughout the day - coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening with live music. We also enjoyed the entertainment each night: the international show, the silent DJ, the Riu party, the live bands, and especially the Mexican Culture show, it was a great way to see the diversity of Mexico through singing and dancing with such talented people. The beach was our favorite place to be with beautiful sunrises (we took a walk each morning), soft sand, comfy beach chairs, and blue water. Our daughters loved playing beach volleyball, meeting other people, and having a little freedom in their 1st all-inclusive experience.

Overall, I don't have too many complaints. The food was good, but not great. We mostly appreciated having the restaurants in the evening to be out of the cafeteria style meal and have something slightly more unique, but we often had to wait 60-90 minutes for these restaurants. Our room was in a great location near the pool, but in the mornings we could hear carts and people on the walkway above our room. My biggest complaint is the lack of bathrooms by the pool. There often was a line for the women's bathroom and waiting in line for the bathroom is not how I want to spend a vacation. We unfortunately had some very windy days while we were there so the ocean wasn't swimmable, but when it wasn't windy, the ocean was amazing.

Very friendly and professional staff. Beautiful beach. Great buffet. Nice entertainment program. We also enjoyed the water slides.

We found restaurants to be so-so, and preferred the buffet (which is very good). Gym is rather small and often crowded as a result. The hydrotherapy area is lame: small jacuzzi, no "ice/cold" pool, only steam room didn't work with no ETA. These were fairly minor downsides for us and more than offset by the upsides mentioned above.
